ArthurSpectatorSven, where did you get/buy this? And how much did you pay for it? Or did you get some promotional ‘review’ copies again?
ArthurSpectatorWhere did \"Tonite Reprise\" and \"Infinite Sadness\" go?
And I too wonder about the book issue. If this is a worldwide thingy, we might expect some uproar.
I will meet Sven tomorrow, I will ask him the questions above when he has not answered them here by then.
ArthurSpectatoryeah, this james iha guitar sidebar is only if he gets a break from the fryer.[/quote:3ra5ogx6]
Guitar arrived safely, 3 days till the fryer.
ArthurSpectatorWhat if you’ve only preordered one of them?[/quote:nwnek1y6]
Then you get the other deluxe release for free to be able to have the right book with your deluxe release. Easy fix, everybody happy! And I think it has nothing to do with preordering, it looks like a generic mistake at the factory.
ArthurSpectatorLittle sidenote…
It’s funny that this type of Celestials promo single didn’t show up on eBay yet. We have seen 3 or 4 Danish Celestials promo singles on eBay, but not this one so far. Weird? Is this one maybe (even more) rare, for that reason?
ArthurSpectatorThe front is exactly the same as the US promo (which I still have to receive), but the jewelcase is slimline, and the CD is different. I call it the EU promo for the moment, because it looks like one. There is no indication of a country/region to find. Snapshot from my mobile:
ArthurSpectatorMe thinks you already have the Oceania vinyl test pressing?
ArthurSpectatorFree tickets to be won to see James Iha in Amsterdam.
ArthurSpectatorOffer not valid anymore. It’s the EMI EU promo. With eternal thanks to you King!

This brings me back to my little bedroom at my parents’ place. 30 years ago… I had almost the same type of tape deck, but without the meters. I build in an alarm clock from a radio device, so I would wake up with music from a cassette, instead of from the radio.
ArthurSpectatorDid you win the Celestials promo, Arthur? I see its status is changed to reserved.[/quote:1rcveu34]
Yeah… and at the same time I won another one on eBay for $50. They went for $100+ in the beginning, I never expected this to happen. At the same time I never wanted to pay more than $50 – $60 (in fact $25 is already more than enough, if you ask me), so either I’m kind of lucky, or the prices are dropping dramatically lately…And when that Marktplaats promo is not a Dutch promo, but the US promo again, I will have a spare one…
Trade for a Panopticon promo, anyone?

ArthurSpectatorI first heard Siamese Dream on cassette (at a friends house, 19 years ago) and today I found a copy in a second hand store!
can’t figure out which one it is on the collection though. Made in Holland. UK HUTMC11

Probably an unknown release to SPfreaks. Can we have scans of it someday soon? Thanks! It travelled quite far, from Holland to your place.
ArthurSpectatornow give me my millions![/quote:1e77t679]
Why does this never happen to me!
ArthurSpectatorI was second row, a rather tall guy. I was with a Malaysian girl, a friend of my wife (who was pregnant at the time, and didn’t dare to rock out lol). We let her first row, since she is not that tall. And of course there was Milan behind us. I went to Brussels with him the day before to see the Pumpkins in Vorst Nationaal. But the HMH gig was even better!
Next to me, in HMH, on my left was a tall guy also (didn’t know him) that handed me a beer as a surprise for watching his place for him when he went for a beer. Another remarkable moment was when Billy did the solo of I Am One, and he stood right in front of us between the speakers. It was awesome! Anis, the Malaysian girl, was screaming her lungs out!
I don’t remember talking to you King, but I might have… It was an awesome night indeed!

ArthurSpectatorVery interesting subject, King. Very. It’s quite funny to realize that back in the days I was already a little old and a late discovering Smashing Pumpkins (1994, I was 27 years old). The first time I saw them live was in 1996. In those years the new fans of now were born… Funny.
I think every band gets the fans it deserves. When Smashing Pumpkins make music that appeals to the younger generation, new hardcore fans (like you!?) will emerge. And they do.

ArthurSpectatorYou’re right Bram, it is the one from eBay. And the description did not really suit the situation indeed, but I knew that. It is the same type of promo as this one.
ArthurSpectatorConsider ‘Melodies’ and ‘Beautiful As The Sun’ sold.

ArthurSpectatorFew cheap goodies. Machina Thai promo, Thirty-Three Canadian promo, Brazilian promo compilation. The last 2 of them are not on SPfreaks yet.
ArthurSpectatorFinally acquired a celestials promo for $70.00; what about those panopticon promo cds I have only seen one on ebay, has there been others????????????[/quote:157cg1vq]
Can’t find it either…
ArthurSpectatorI’m bidding too, but I’m a bit tight on money so I can’t afford to go too high! I’ll let you know if I stop bidding so you can pick it up.
