ArthurSpectatorLooks like she is selling some stuffs on eBay. I noticed another award she has up for auction. She just sold an Adore award too…
ArthurSpectatoralso worth noting, the main guy in the video is the voice of spongebob squarepants[/quote:1bc2f7ru]
And the child jumping on that half moon prop is a young Mike Byrne, dressed as a girl. Which inspired John Travolta to do Hairspray.Nice stuff, Geo.

ArthurSpectatorJust wait, just wait… Something nice in the pipeline, I hope…
ArthurSpectatorOK, OK, fair enough…
Should have called it \"has been taken care of\" or something.
I was outbid on the Japanese promo cd for Oceania, but that’s OK. Will find it again…
As a sweet revenge I won a US promo compilation with Today (a TM Century HitDisc from 1994, not on SPfreaks yet).
This is what I called a Korean release before, but maybe it is Taiwanese?
ArthurSpectatorThom…
Who is willing to pay 2,750 US$ per vinyl record?
Good to see La Saga Racontee on the market again, too.
But back on topic, what will Billy Corgan do this time?
ArthurSpectatorhere’s the well known scream from Bullet with Butterfly Wings: at 44.50

Damn, that IS ultimate. First time I hear this.
ArthurSpectatorYou already got the Australian one?[/quote:eg9jsmlj]
I remember someone offered to check for a nice price, and ship it… You, maybe?
ArthurSpectatorOceania: Canadian, Australian, Mexican, Japanese, Korean & UK (promo) on its way, US and EU already in. JP (promo) in the picture…
Furthermore Siamese Dream wooden box #19, Earphoria Taiwan (not on SPfreaks yet? Weird…), Sweet Relief promo and a bunch of Delabel order forms and etc. Last but not least, a Zeitgeist Ukrainian cd album.
ArthurSpectatorNothing special really. Stickered (on the back) commercial album, like the JP promo album for Oceania. Although, the Japanese tend to print something on the CD also, mentioning it is a promo. Anyway, the press sheet is rather impressive though, double sided A4 with an interview with Billy Corgan.
ArthurSpectatorThat pic will be uploaded shortly, thanks!
Meanwhile I won an UK promo album with press sheet on eBay.
ArthurSpectatorAydan yesterday, almost 9 weeks old, after I gave him the bottle…

That goes for The Celestials, Violet Rays, Pale Horse and Oeania, so far my favourite tracks. It is a really good album indeed! The only so-so song for me is Pinwheels, but hey… That is all! Compliments to the band, and everybody involved in making this album possible.I have been driving for like 5 hours almost today, so I listened to the Budokan boot also. And there I got goosebumps… Heavy Metal Machine, with Billy screaming his heart out, and a very different guitar solo in the middle part. Damn, I just love these live shows!
When I listened to Oceania, the track, then at 5 minutes in the song somewhere, Mike slowly comes back, but that part is so f*cking impressive… Damn!
ArthurSpectatorI don’t recall that it was announced to be released on (double) vinyl too? It can be ordered on that website so it must be true…!?
ArthurSpectatorTypo, it is going to be a replica cassette. CD 3 (must be DVD) looks very interesting too! Or did they really play these songs multiple times?
ArthurSpectatorSo, Arthur and Bram….what do you value?[/quote:1e5kco54]
I value my friends, both irl and here on SPfreaks. I value justice, honesty, people caring. And I value good moments together, memories, a certain amount of pressure, stress and challenges to get me going. I value music that surprises me.And lately, I get a warm feeling when my baby son Aydan is smiling, and sleeping on my chest. 1 of those good moments.
ArthurSpectatorgo directly to Violet Rays (track 4), do not pass go do not collect $200[/quote:1989wq4g]
I will remember this!
ArthurSpectatorstill haven’t heard this album…[/quote:3um3vjtt]
lol me neither. It is in the car stereo with the 2 boots I bought in Belgium, but I found myself listening to the track Oceania first, and only. I keep the whole album for Thursday, when I have to drive 2 hours to the other side of Holland.Oceania is a wonderful track, as I expected…
ArthurSpectatorAll the delabel stuff in that last post is now gone.[/quote:222gpa6l]
I wonder where that went…
ArthurSpectatorthose two cds are identical.
there is only one version of the album.
there are however small differences depending on where the cd is released, of course. (e.g. EU version, US version, canadian version, japanese version, and so on)[/quote:3w1vti18]
I guess so too. Let’s see if we can make that list as long as the Zeitgeist list.
ArthurSpectatorBeautiful stuff, Thom…
Just send you an email about something that you might want to consider.
ArthurSpectatori actually just spent the weekend in amsterdam.
no shopping for me though. just drinking lots of heineken.[/quote:2n5h57y6]
Duvel, several of them, it was for me in Brussels. And in Brugge yesterday too! Beautiful place, Brugge…
ArthurSpectatoryou are encroaching on hallowed ground. proceed with caution.[/quote:2oaf2u65]
yeah I guess so, I am sure you know what you are talking about…
ArthurSpectatorNo, it makes Teargarden a bunch of 44 – 13 = 31 singles. 31 loose singles outside the 13 grouped singles on Oceania. Just kidding.. But why is it so difficult? When a 1 song or multiple songs promo is promoting an album, it is an album promo. When it is promoting an EP, it is an EP promo. When it is promoting a single, it is a single promo. But I agree, a lot of those promos are used to promote both an album and a single.
But I think why you are just as stubborn about this as undersigned. Celestials contains a single song only, that is why it is a single promo, or promo single. If we define everything up to 3 songs as a single, 4-6 songs as an EP, 7-9 songs as a mini-album, and everything with 10 songs or more as an album or double-album when it contains enough songs… Yes, I agree. Celestials is a single. But it does not promote Celestials, the first single of the Oceania album. It’s intentional use is to promote the album (only). So it is by nature, and by heart, an album promo.
Which reminds me I have a double-album of Godspeed, You Black Emperor, and it contains 4 songs only. Each of them 20 to 25 minutes long… Hmmm… Whatever.
ArthurSpectatorWe are spending the weekend in Brussels, Belgium and between the famous tourist spots I managed to hit-and-run some music shops. Some cds: Zwan – Post Pumpkins (Brazilian boot), SP – Live At Budokan (Dutch 2cd boot, couldn’t find it on SPfreaks), Oceania (EU pressing) and… Some vinyl! I Am One 12\" and 10\", Cherub Rock & Disarm both 12\". Paid 79.50 Euro in total, in 3 different shops. I am not a vinyl collector, but when they are 10 euro each… I just could not resist!
The vinyls look new, unplayed, just that Disarm has a fold mark in one corner, and I think I noticed some shelve wear on I Am One 12\". I already have the 10\" but I never liked the quality of the sleeve. Now I can sell/trade it…
ArthurSpectatorIt is just a matter of definition. I would never call Celestials a promo single, but an album promo. Since the band has no intention releasing singles, it is not a single promo.
