Good point. All UK if you ask me. I’ll correct the one on SPfreaks that states US now.

No issues here. MyBand Solutions is the name of the business I started, but the concept has a different name. And in many important details it’s very different from what they are doing. However, hats off to them!

And we just had a band from Malaysia* joining the programme, how cool is that? 8)

*No, my wife, who is from Malaysia, had absolutely nothing to do with it lol!

Would that be Zac from My Fair Fiend? That’s so far the first (and only) US band that contacted me.

No, they are from Columbia. Funny I never noticed them, it’s (almost) the same concept under (almost) the same name. I have to check that out a little more for copyright issues, thanks for pointing this out Bram!

Awesome! There is interest shown from Bonaire, Wales, The Netherlands and Malaysia, but still a few spots to give away (around five). Let me know. :)

what about site hosting and domain name costs?[/quote:2oll2ioo]
Hosting and (temp) domain name is on us, now and in future. If the band owns a domain name already, a transfer is easily arranged during or after the pilot programme, at actual costs.

and you still own that copy?[/quote:sxhcmp10]
Yes. And indeed, it doesn’t make much sense to bootleg this CD. Instead, it would have been quite costly to individually number 10,000 CDs, that’s why they sticked to one number only and pressed that on all CDs, I guess.

Haha, the scans and the rest of the info are from my copy. Turns out that the number 00362 is most probably pressed on all the cds. And that might make this thingy a bootleg, maybe?

Good question! Japan has a (little, red) stickered promo deluxe box. It’s the standard deluxe reissue, with, again, that little red sticker. They probably trusted Mellon Collie to sell like crazy without too much physical promotion?

In my boxes with vinyl I found all their 1970-1980 albums (they released quite a few actually, in that period!) and this song stood out, I played it a lot. Golden oldie in rock universe, if you ask me. :)

I have all rips of the Marked cassettes that are known (four I think) but there is no Greta Garbo song on them, if I remember well.

Congrats everybody on their latest finds! The Delabel promos are quite something, lots of people were looking for (and bidding on) that!

Obtained a Japanese Warner promo compilation with Tarantula on it.

Next to this I’m having three Smashing Pumpkins posters being framed as we speak. One is done, but the other two are still ‘under construction’. Should be done halfway September, will show off with a few pics then. :P

I didn’t buy it yet, because I’m hoping for lower prices later for both the cd/dvd set and the vinyl. I’ve been checking the Japanese market a little for a local release, but no luck so far.

I went to System Of A Down. And it happened to be the birthday of Serj Tankian too. Anyway, it was the best shit I’ve seen (besides SP) since looooong. Damn. It was scary in a really nice way.

This video is not from where I was, I was on the balcony on the back. The venue, Ziggo Dome, was packed with 16,000 people, and they all jumped, bounced, sang-a-long and had a fucking great time!

We spend 9 days in Ireland, and it is confirmed: there are no typical Irish releases of Smashing Pumpkins to be found. Just received an email from a friendly guy called Nathan, who works in a cool music shop I visited in Kenmare in the south of Ireland (http://www.soundzofmuzic.ie), and being a Smashing Pumpkins fan himself, he looked it up for me.

    Thanks Nathan! :D

Wait whats this display thing? Need pics from you both :)[/quote:k2nx7jj6]
Here’s the French FNAC Machina display. It’s made of thick plastic and both sides contain this print. On top two holes are (hardly) visible. It’s probably rather rare, since France had around 120 FNAC stores back then.

Meanwhile, I agreed with the seller to take over his Adore display so I hope to have a pic of that soon too. :)

I have that same Zeitgeist poster signed by Billy, Jimmy, Jeff and Ginger (with a drawing of a stick woman from her)

Really glad to have Ginger’s autograph. Havent seen a lot of them and have autographs from almost every other member over the years[/quote:mxr7wsol]
Pretty cool indeed. Feel like sharing a pic of that?

The sun covers an ancient tomb
    A stone circle whispered
    The tales of nameless druids
    A lukewarm hand
    Grabbed my heart and squeezed
Till silver butterflies covered my eyes

A manmade path of worn out rock
    Hit my bloodfilled footsteps
And I couldn’t help but noticing
My Bronze Age grave was there
And I found myself. Found myself.
Found myself in the ruins of ancient love

Thou shall not pass, evil phoenix!
It is me that will cover the stars
And switch off the sun if needed
For your burning ship will not rise
To the eternal thoughts of the gods
And my head was gently laid down

    My circle is full
    My journey is dead
    My life returns
    My body feeds
    My music is endless
When me meets me in the Irish galaxy

There’s an ocean of tears between us
    A waterfall to climb
    A gutter, a sewer, a pipe
That the Greek, nor the Romans,
Nor the Egyptians and the Etrusk
Have intended to invent for us

    So dry, so dry!
    My home is so dry
