Cult Hero is right. I was surprised to find this on http://www.hitler.org :

\"Sitting at a restaurant table in Munich in the summer of 1932, Hitler designed the prototype for what would become the immensely successful Beetle design for Volkswagen (literally, the \"car of the people\"). In an era where only the most economic elite possessed cars, Hitler believed that all people should be able to own a car and additionally thought that a smart design could allow for reliability, enjoyment, and vacation travel. The name given to the car in 1938 was Kraft durch Freude (KdF-Wagen, literally \"strength through joy car\").

Hitler gave his design to the head of Daimler-Benz, Jakob Werlin, and stressed its importance. \"Take it with you and speak with people who understand more about it than I do. But don’t forget it. I want to hear from you soon, about the technical details.\"\"

I didn’t want to play this one because I already reckoned that Gossamer would be safe… Obviously not.

This video has been removed, due to terms of use violation!

Anyway, on Juli 31, 2009, DJ Tiesto (Dutch DJ, announced best DJ of the world several times) had this Smashing Pumpkins Disarm remix in his show called Club Life on Radio 538. Hour 1, starts at around 11:00. Here is the full show. I was not impressed by the remix inside this radio show, to be honest, but I’m not into the modern trance too much anymore. Maybe some of you like it? Anyway, here you have it, + the full 7 minutes remix in a separate file.

We (me and my girlfriend) bought tickets for Within Temptation, Haarlem, April 2010. The only luxury we afford ourselves these days, since we are a bit on a budget… But it is her favourite band, so we didn’t want to miss out on this concert. We managed to get seats in the exact middle of the theatre, on row 10, which is just perfect!

BBQ is one more reason I am never giving meat up[/quote:ykqlqcyi]
Fully agree on that one! More bbq will save the world and make everyone live in peace!

On a more serious note: of course I have nothing against vegetarians, I have been one for 14 years. But it doesn’t feel right to be one anymore. The human body in general needs meat, as we are a carnivore animal, like many creatures on earth. Nothing wrong with that. Of course we need to treat our fellow animals with a certain amount of respect, and not let it suffer for our meals. We are able to do that, so we should be respectful, in a way. But a hungry lion, alligator, shark or tiger would eat us also without thinking twice, and I can’t blame them. They are voracious carnivores too!

    Now, where is Dazey?

I always have an ear listening in France, to discover new bands over there… So fond of that country! My latest discovery: La Caravane Passe! Music style: rocktzigan, or balkan-party-rock! Leave that lazy chair and jump! jump! jump!

It simply rocks. And I wouldn’t compare these guys to Depeche Mode, because Depeche Mode is not even allowed to step in the shadows of this Nephew band… :P

Based on this 007 song, I say: awesome band! I will check them out also. You know, every now and then, not even once a year I guess, a previously unknown band can strike me like lightning, when I recognize and feel the passion, the rock, the creativity, the honesty, the show, the attitude… whatever. Over the years I had it with Kiss, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, Dead Kennedys, Reboelje, Hallo Venray, Nirvana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Smashing Pumpkins, 16 Horsepower, Noir Desir… And a few more I guess, but these pop up first now. And this Nephew band might be in that list for me… :)
