ArthurSpectatordoes that make me a farmer?
[/quote:27jbnd67]
No, it makes you derailing this topic about Jimmy.
ArthurSpectatorWhere did you get the story that the cd was given away by the radio station as a prize in a contest? I never heard that before.[/quote:27s6cm92]
I think Shawn told me that. And who else owns a copy of En Concierto En Mexico anyway? And can help us in this discussion?
ArthurSpectatorand yeah, i was also thinking 100 max.[/quote:1w4aoe8g]
Same thoughts here, I was on 120, but when that other bidder came around, I felt like annoying him a little. So now he will bleed for pissing me off.
ArthurSpectatorOne more question: the front insert of your copy, is it single or double (folded)? And do you know if the eBay version has a single or a double front insert? I can’t really tell from the pictures, but maybe someone else can.[/quote:85i11zh2]
It is double (folded) with not text inside. Just plain white when being opened. Rather good paper quality, shiny, but the artwork (which was done with a laser printer I presume), which is shiny too, but it obviously doesn’t come from a really pro printing machine. I think it was done with a standard office machine. And the eBay copy looks folded to me, but that’s just a wild guess based on these pics…And for me, I’m very interested in Shawn’s story, how and where he got it from…
ArthurSpectatorInteresting. I’ll start a new thread about this Mexican thingy.
ArthurSpectatorSo far Easter has been nice… Yesterday we went to Schiphol to arrange the payment for a flight ticket, then we went on a Lelystad-revisited tour as Shannen was there in 2000 with her brother (funny story how they got there
) then we went on to my parents in the north of The Netherlands. There we did a really nice bicycle trip, and we were invited to go to an Indonesian restaurant (it was my mum’s birthday a week ago, see). It was awesome, we almost exploded! I had a spicy fish soup as a starter, and the main course was almost 20 different dishes, from beef to fish to lamb to goat to chicken, all types of vegetables, and 2 types of rice, and gado gado… Then a sorbet ice cream as a dessert… Yummy!
Today however is a relaxing day.
Hope you all enjoy Easter also!
ArthurSpectatori tried to watch that video, but her singing made my ears bleed. it was a tad bit painful.[/quote:2nj6c06d]
So was the piano.
ArthurSpectatorhe’s not the Grim Reaper
[/quote:15645q82]
He is, I’m afraid, I mean, it’s really Tila calling Billy "the grim reaper" in that video. PMM posted that video on the homepage of sp.com, so it must be worthwhile mentioning for some reason… Fingers crossed it will not be that Tila becomes the next bandmember!
ArthurSpectatorTsss…I can’t sleep after the double espresso this evening. Done counting the sheeps yet I’m still WIDE AWAKE….hmmmmpfffff[/quote:22httz6o]
You are probably too excited having a holiday of 1 month, starting in a few weeks alreadyedit: And I just noticed that you are worried about getting fruit platters on your flight. Don’t worry, you’ll get them, you just ordered 6 of them on the website of Singapore Airlines.
ArthurSpectatorWow, epic indeed (*yawns*). I’m hoping she will not be the next bandmember, and that their relationship remains in the (bedroom) privacy only. And who tells me \"the Grim Reaper\" is Billy Corgan anyway?
ArthurSpectatorAs for me, I’ve been on a buying binge of late. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I will tease one item that is being shipped to me currently. It is rare, it isn’t on this site, and it is the 3rd "version" out there and I wasn’t aware of it, until I was sent a picture of it and yelled "holy shit!" at my monitor.
Shawn[/quote:vbvr2t6x]
The suspense… the suspense…(*me, walking to my desk… opening the drawer… taking that Colt Defender .45 gun… pointing it at my head… pulling the trigger… not shooting though… putting the Colt back on its’ place…*)
… is almost killing…
Good job Shawn, I’m very curious what it is!! Could it be En Concierto En Mexico? If so,…

2009.04.10 at 6:42 am in reply to: new super awesome statement from Billy!!!! long live the SP! #34810
ArthurSpectatorAbsolutely a good read, and not that much of his normal \"vagueness\". However, it looks a bit like he has many things on his mind and at hands. I hope Billy is mentally and physically capable of doing these enormous tasks ahead… I guess he will manage, as he has Sasha and Tila, and whoever, to relax with…
No words about Jimmy, that is a little disappointing… But understandable also maybe, as their friendship is something private.
ArthurSpectatorThis person does not want that to happen, and she is with quite a few others…

But seriously, I want Jimmy back also. He’s the best!
ArthurSpectatorAuthur are you the new owner of the "Homemade" CD? By the bidding pattern, I would say it’s a positive.[/quote:2vm73gxa]
(That buyer will be, ahem… me, ahem…
)[/quote:2vm73gxa]
And I was send the same pic of the cd too, just to clarify that at least it was a genuine Reprise promo. And it turned out to be one, although the pic is very blurry… But it looked OK to me. Then I put a bid on it, the first and my only bid on this auction with a rather high maximum amount to protect it, Somebody else however, showed some pricey interest later on during the auction… I wonder who! Would it be Pit Boss himself maybe? Not my lucky day maybe, but in Euro it’s not that expensive anyway, thanks to the rather good conversion rate these days. So I’m still very happy with it! I won’t start collecting all of them "Asian shop- or homemades" of course, but just to have this colorful one in my collection for reference is kinda cool I think. Whatever you guys (mayo! blue!) might say.
ArthurSpectatorWow, you can buy that for $.99 and make the cover.[/quote:xza9vt66]
Maybe, but I don’t think so, in this case. I did not only ask for the pic of the cd, I also send the pic of that "homemade" sleeve to 1 of my very trustworthy Asian sources. This is what I was told about it.
ArthurSpectatorI hope Billy doesn’t leave the band.
[/quote:38e8u6bn]
Upcoming Thursday (tomorrow already) he will announce that clones, manufactured by Advanced Cell Technology ( http://www.advancedcell.com/press-relea … Human-Eggs ) of Melissa, Jimmy and Lisa will join the band. Then he will leave the band indeed, after having that company create a clone of himself also. The production of this clone of Billy will have some expected flaws, so the only "original" member Jeff Schroeder will be the new singer/songwriter of Smashing Pumpkins. Then, later on in 2009 or in early 2010, Smashing Pumpkins will leave the band. In 2010, summer, all cloned bandmembers will be downloadable for a free private concert in every home worldwide, except for Japan. Billy hates Japanese food and ex-bandmembers with parents from that country, that’s why.Billy’s message in a nutshell…
ArthurSpectatorHoly mozes! That is a little village full of drummers!
Can you imagine that they all have to play a 35 minutes version of Gossamer, and that Billy has to listen to them all? It will take 25 days non-stop, the audition!
ArthurSpectatorPipoka! New forum rule! There are actually people that you should not share your mushrooms with anymore! They start writing posts here on this forum like they are on speed!
ArthurSpectatoraww, how sweet
was SG there?
[/quote:3q5yo278]
If she was in, I would have started a new topic "My sweet dreams".
ArthurSpectatorI don’t dream so much, or at least I don’t remember them anymore afterwards. Last night (I just woke up now) I had a funny dream… No bullshit! This is really what I dreamed, or what I remember of it. I have never dreamed of the guy before, as far as I know, so it’s kinda funny…
I was invited, together with a few other people, by Billy Corgan to see him in private, in his house. He lived on a small farm, so when we walked around, Billy giving a tour around the premises, we saw little sheep, few pigs, chicken… It was very peaceful, and Billy was a great host. I have no idea why this little group was invited to see him, but it was a very special occasion to all of us. I also remember we were sitting on chairs inside and discussing things, in an open and friendly way. I don’t know the subjects anymore, I’m sorry. But I felt like a close friend to Billy, that’s what I remember.
There was more, but it slips away so fast…
ArthurSpectatori personally didn’t like Zwan. it felt a bit Jesus camp and i don’t do Jesus camp.[/quote:b5cgvqqx]
Song 2 isn’t exactly Jesus camp…
ArthurSpectatorOh yes, I forgot to mention that Melissa is the only exception: she IS good, her solo album absolutely rocks. But the other members’ solo work, I never bothered buying it, after I gave it a quick listen here or there. It’s just not my cup of tea, and it is by far not as brilliant as Billy Corgan’s work (even his solo album is very listenable). But it’s the Smashing Pumpkins flag, always including the Billy color, that works best for me, so far. So I stick to it for the time being.
ArthurSpectatorTila Tequila[/quote:2v2vwlgq]
Billy has a good taste for company lately. I wonder what won, the San Pellegrino, or the sword.
ArthurSpectatorNice rant, & I’m with you. Your call for Billy’s Pumpkins rock will hopefully be answered, for my benefit too.
On a sidenote, because I always wanted to say this to you: check out the SP live a bit more.
It will be like you discover them again. -
