Do you think it’s ink? I thought it was toner. (From a laser printer, instead of a inkjet printer.)

I think it’s normal that toner starts sticking to the plastic after a while. (In this case it has nothing to do with putting the inserts in the plastic sleeves while the ink is still wet. It just happens after a while.)

2 radio shows (Harddrive & Out Of Order, both containing Tarantula, 1 also containing Bullet With Butterfly Wings) from June/July 2007, the release period of Zeitgeist.

With mixed feelings I put them in the official cd section, as they are internet downloads, burned on cd-r. Radio stations don’t provide cds anymore, and djs have to download their shows, and burn them for keeping them in stock. The artwork is provided on the websites of Westwood One, and can be used to put on the cd-r. I bought these 2 a while ago from a US dj, that turned out to be not that trustworthy when it came to shipping more items and returning money. He disappeared many times from eBay, screaming it was not his fault. Yeah right. Cool As Ice Cream knows the guy also I guess. Anyway, judge yourself, but I think it are real shows anyway from a genuine source, not being the dj, but the radio networks.[/quote:281qclq3]
I got that Live Earth radio promo from that guy. I’m certain it’s a fake, and I returned it, but I still haven’t seen my money back, even though the seller promised me many times he would get around to it…

Anyway, that one was definitely fake: just listen to it. No way would they send out such a crappy audio to radio stations. It sounds absolutely worthless. Someone probably recorded it from one of those tiny online streamed videos, with the volume too low.

I would never ever buy from that seller again.

those say they only ship to the united states (why oh why? :(). that’s probably why i couldn’t find them.

Can you post/message some links? I can’t find any.

Not bad, not bad… Wonder if they will create some kind of a special box for the whole Tour Package set. :)[/quote:2mygytbx]
I doubt it. Package is very standard already (default livesp.com/nugs.net cardboard sleeve with room for three cds, and a sticker with info about the show). I can’t imagine they would come up with something so specific as a box for the tour.

wow, that’s quite the story. How awkward, did you laugh a little at the time?[/quote:1aey12ex]
    Yes, I giggled quietly.

in reply to: Cherub Rock WLP #29423

I wouldn’t blame the label and not the band. That’s too easy.
I’ve read or heard in interviews that Billy finds it a real hassle to release an album on vinyl. It’s a lot of work. They need a different mix if they want to do it right, and the artwork has to work out on the 12\"x12\" format too.
There almost wasn’t a vinyl release of MCIS, I believe for the same reason.

Oh, and the way overpriced G.L.O.W. single $74[/quote:37mg8bns]
Was it on eBay? I haven’t seen any GLOW singles on eBay for a while.

in reply to: Machina II UK 4 cd set on eBay #29470

i had forgotten about this lovely story until today. i just ignored it at the time, because it was so awkward.

in reply to: Machina II UK 4 cd set on eBay #29468

    my thoughts exactly.

in reply to: Machina II UK 4 cd set on eBay #29466

when i’m sad, i like to lick my rarest cds. so yeah, fingerprints are gross!

    just kidding.

haha, this reminds me, once i was at a second hand record store and one of the customers suddenly started licking a record he just took out of the sleeve.
the lady of the store said: \"hey, stop that! you’ve been doing this before and other customers have been complaining about it. it’s gross. and why would you lick it in the first place?!? and you’ve never bought anything here. you just come in to lick records and scare away people.\"
and he said: \"i know what you’re doing! you’re treating the records with product, so they look shinier than they really are. i can taste it!\"
and the lady said: \"hell no, why would we do that? get the fuck out!\"
and then he went out of the store. true story.

they’re back! i’ll just link to the pictures. this way your unprotected computers can remain virus-free.

in reply to: 20th Anniversary Live Show CDs #24910

    haha, typical.

i’m fairly certain that all shows will be included.

someone on netphoria who ordered the first shows already received them. they look ok. (netphoria seems to be down right now, so i can’t link to the pictures. maybe later.)
maybe you’ll receive your first cds soon.

in reply to: Machina II UK 4 cd set on eBay #29464

Not necessarily. I’ve seen some of these go for $150-175. (And they looked better than this set.)

in reply to: French MCIS CDs #29459

It’s just that if two releases are identical, except for that one small sticker, I’m personally not really interested in it. You can collect all you want of course. ;) That is all.

My main point was that all French MCIS cds most likely come with artwork that says \"printed in Holland\". (See also the entry on spfreaks: http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?pa … &item=1966)

$0.06 – Cheapest thing I’ve ever bought online. [/quote:d85nri8o]
i wanted to bid on that one, but it said that it was $30 or so to ship it to belgium, so i didn’t.

i contacted the seller about this, but he didn’t come back to me on time. i was already in bed when he sent his reply. apparently shipping to belgium was only $6.

oh well, it’s his loss. if he had prepared his auction decently, he would have gotten more bids.

in reply to: French MCIS CDs #29457

Must be number 3: I also have a copy with cds that say \"made in France\", but artwork that says \"printed in Holland\". I guess this is how they all look like.

I think those small stickers that say \"made in England\" (or the similar small ones that say \"promo\") are ignorable. But that’s just me.

not anymore, it seems. there’s no zeitgeist on vinyl.

"ATTENTION WILLIAM – VOMIT IN AISLE FOUR – VOMIT IN AISLE FOUR FOR WILLIAM"

in reply to: Cherub Rock WLP #29415

the numbers at spfc come straight from hut or the pressing plant…
i know dave took a long time to get those numbers, but these i believe are no estimation; when estimation spfc states so.
i think they messed up some numbers though.
the pressing quantity of the white labels is pretty much unknown.
the pressing quantity of the test pressings is known and can be traced back to the production bills.

now – white label promos are part of the final production run; most of the time that is as you wouldn’t go out on promotion with a faulty pressing, would you?that’s why these are produced only from the approved version of the press(ing plates/master).

    hope this helps ;)[/quote:1hzemui9]
    yes, it does. thanks!

in reply to: American Gothic promo with press sheet. #28853

Yeah, that was me. I already have this (but without the press sheet), so I didn’t really go for it. Good it went to one of us. ;)

Can’t we all give the info needed in this thread and I will put together a googledoc with all information availible.[/quote:23ooyzr9]
I’ll do this later. Probably next week.

in reply to: Cherub Rock WLP #29406

Are you sure I Am One white label promo is more frequent on eBay? I think Peel Sessions and Cherub Rock were the most frequent ones, but I might be wrong.

And those spfc.org numbers are just estimates. Not sure what makes a test pressing a test pressing, or what makes a WLP a WLP. They look the same to me. I guess a test pressing doesn’t necessarily come in the generic Hut sleeve.

The question \"Is there a difference in the pressing quantity?\" is a bit weird to me. It might be better to ask if there’s a difference in availability. Because I don’t think they pressed a couple of WLPs with artwork proof and did another pressing for WLPs without artwork proof.

I think it goes like this:
    – they press a very small number of test pressings (3? 5?)
    – then they do a small run of WLPs (25? 100?)
    – next to that they do the artwork proof prints – some WLPs are spread with artwork proof, others without

I don’t know. That’s how I see things. It might not be 100% accurate.

Perhaps I’ll try one by this dude some day, assuming there’s one or more in English that is.[/quote:3vwp3oit]
    I don’t think so, unfortunately.
