Im a Cult HeroSpectatorHave any bootlegs of the 2008 tour surfaced?
I’ve yet to hear one.
I’m hoping somebody got the cash car star/black sabbath/buffalo springfield/Iron Maiden medley they’ve been playing recorded somewhere
Im a Cult HeroSpectatori do have 1979 acoustic but with drums…[/quote:56qjad7g]
Oops, this might be the version uploaded, it has drums too :/
Didn’t see this post, doh!
Im a Cult HeroSpectator1979 acoustic :

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorYeah, everything up to and including track 8 (crush) is fairly low, then on track 9 (untitled) everything improves a lot on my version.
I have an acoustic 1979 on the way, but I don’t know where it’s from, pretty good though.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorSorry about that, I was watching Beowulf
But the whole show is worth having, some great versions on there.
I assume it’s the same as the one I have? Where the sound quality drastically improves about half way through?
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI’m not sure if I’m supposed to be posting anything in here, but heres the version they played at the secret acoustic gig in Berlin in 07
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PJLW9HQ8It’s a bit different to the version they’ve been playing on the 08 tour.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorIt was crazy with Silverf**k, just after the quiet bit at the end….or at least I thought it was crazy….then I tried it with some noise from Japan, I got pwned by DJ Merzbow
I might actually buy the full version of this, it was pretty fun
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorthis looks awesome! Thanks for posting, I’m looking forward to seeing how it reacts to different genres
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorHeres a few more random vids from the night :
\"Danny Boy\" & \"Today\"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czKRGiQGCfA\"My Blue Heaven\" – The guy using the camera manages to completely miss the dancing bit, ansd cuts it off right before the last jazz hands (he also missed the first jazz hands at the start of the song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_zyT4xjlXwNow it looks like I’m making this stuff up
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorFound a video of some of the banter towards the end, including the bits I mentioned, looks like my memory isn’t quite so hot, It’s hard to tell but he doesn’t seem to throw up gang signs, but maybe he does *shrugs* I dunno.
(The then start playing Cherub Rock)

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI have a couple of SP tribute albums :
Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions
Myspace triute to..
Gothic/Industrial tribute to..
String Quartet Tribute to..I like the lullaby renditions and string quartet the most (they’re both instrumental).
The string tribute also has an original composition by the group inspired by the Pumpkins \"The Prize goes to the ghost children\".I also have \"Takes\" by Adem, which is an album of cover songs of various artist’s (including PJ Harvey, Bjork & Aphex Twin) which features a cover of \"Starla\", I think it is quite possibly the greatest Pumpkins cover I have ever heard
Really does the original justice, without resorting to it being a kareoke(sp?) version.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorJust realised I put it as the wrong year : it should be 22/08/95 (sorry about that guys)
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorOh I should mention the machina & SD ones are really bad sound quality, so I don’t know if you’ll want to bother with them, I guess I just like them coz I was there
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI wasn’t able to see properly because of the angle he was at when he did it.
No didn’t manage to get it on camera.
He also did Jazz hands to My Blue Heaven and a weird kinda ballet style dance during Lindas keyboard solo
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorUh-oh…..I’ve been rumbled!
Yeah all the goth standards would be among my all time faves (but of course all below SP), The Cure, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy etc. etc.I just remembered a little random bit from the gig :
During the banter bit, Billy was giving out about bands using pro-tools to \"fix\" their music, \"We’re not like them\", then he asks everyone to raise their hands for whom this was their first SP gig, and he said \"and so now you know……we get this S*** done\" and threw up gang signs
Me and my friend constantly quote that bit to each other, still makes us laugh :p
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorStill into the music, but I’ve gotten too lazy to keep up the look
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorYou should post 1 of the pics with you on it here, they are pretty cool. Kinda gothic you say? Noooo, not this person! [/quote:3pu0pu1b]
Lol if I’m right about which photo’s your talking of, they are old photo’s, like 9 years ago old.
Ah my old goth/androgeny phase
I don’t really look like that anymore
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorIn Dublin, Ireland born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorMy collection is tiny, and rather unimpressive compared to most of you, but here goes :
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorhttp://www.last.fm/user/ImACultHero81/
No prizes for guessing who my top artist will be
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorThanks guys
Yeah I had a great time, though I heard it wasn’t as much fun outside the pit, and there were problems with the sound (which I expected, as the RDS is a terrible venue) at some points.
I have to admit though, United States did overstay it’s welcome a bit, don’t get me wrong, I like the song, but by the time it hit the 20 minute mark, I was kinda wishing they would play another song
I wasn’t aware there was a strong Irish presence here, that’s pretty coolYeah I collect CD’s though my collection is probably microscopic compared to some of you guys
I have no vinyl yet but I do intend to at least get all the studio albums on vinyl when chance and finances meet in a glorious collaborationGlad you like the pics, feel free to take any you want to use however you want, it’s all gravy
