    we’ll forgive you :P

and i like Nightmare Before Christmas too. i love the imagery and art of it. i don’t have any stuff beyond my dvd though. i think that’s mainly because all of these dumb pre-teen/ teen wannabe goth emos kind of ruined that particular merch for me. it seems every time i see it i always think oh, neat. then afterward i get a picture of your typical hot topic idiot with there pumpkin jack hoodie, dyed hair, too small pants, fake badges and and pins, and i want to look all emotional and individual by dressing up like the rest of the idiots at school and following the latest emo fad attitude. those bastards kind of ruin good stuff. it almost seems to cheapen it for me even though it probably shouldn’t.[/quote:cslfrl8l]

Hehe, I know what you mean, I’m (or rather : I *was*) more into collecting figurines, mannequins, teddies and other stuff, rather than clothes though….not that I don’t have a few t-shirts too :P

I try to pick up pretty much anything David Bowie/The Cure related whenever I find something.
I think I might even have *gasp* more Bowie stuff than SP!! :o
To be fair though….he has been around slightly longer than Billy & co. ;)
I used to collect Nightmare before christmas stuff too, but I ran out of space to put the stuff so I gave that up :(

My dog threw up on, and killed, my laptop….I’d be laughing my ass off at that if it weren’t so frustrating. No access to my music files if I want to listen to music I have to (*gasp*) dig out the CD!!!! This must have been what it was like in the dark ages……yup, pretty sure it was EXACTLY like this :p

That Janes Addiction thing is *such* a cool looking box set!

It’s an insane amount of info to take in.
44 conceptual track album, 2 new bands a solo record and a Jimmy Chamberlain Complex album all coming our way?!?!
My head may just explode! But in a good way :)
Oh almost forgot : a Tinted Windows album too ;)

    Wow, that’s quite the collection!
I know they’re \"just\" bootlegs, but weird as it may sound I have some sentimental connection to some, eg. bootlegs of the gig’s I was at, and \"Kick start ’96\" the first bootleg I ever bought, so even though they are \"just\" bootlegs, it must still be a tough decision.

Realistically though if you do have them all ripped to your pc (and perhaps any artwork scanned?), I guess there really isn’t much of a reason to hang on to them.
If you are getting rid of them I think you should sell them, you deserve compensation for your work and for the money you spent on them, but I guess ultimately that call is up to you :)

Just starting to try and get into poetry :

    1. Nostalgia
    A former me visited today
    Face a vision of disgust
    voice coloured by contempt
He was full of things to say
with judgements I knew to trust
    And demanding that I repent.

This ghost of a former life
his expression changed to one of shame
Sadness filling eyes, once fiery and heated
He stole the air from the room when he sighed.

He cut through my veneer like a knife
he knew the secrets, and who to blame
the man before him, jaded and defeated
It was then I realised, I was glad he had died.

    2.Finite
Not until I fell in love,
Did I know how short forever was.

Virgin has been gone for aaaages here.
They were bought up by Zavvi, which has also since gone bust.
I’ve also noticed that most remaining music stores are changing to focus on DVD’s, Games and Blu-Ray.
There is a pitiful CD selection in most stores. :(

[edit]Just noticed someone already mentioned Zavvi, since they went bust a lot of Zavvi stores (formerly Virgin stores) have now been bought by HMV.
My fave store here is still Tower Records though, theres only 1 in the entire country (to my knowledge) and it seems totally immune to whats happening, it still has a huge cd selection.

I saw that, that presenter is freaky….is that a real show or is it just a bit of a joke for the promo?

It’s actually kind of what I was expecting, but not actually as bad as I feared.
I’m kind of 50/50 at the moment as to if I’ll pick up an album just because James is on it.
I’d probably listen to it once and never again.

Quoting this from the comments on the first link because it made me chuckle :P

This is pretty much the ultimate “that guy” band. People will ask “Who is that guitarist” or “who is that on vocals”, they’ll realize, then be like “Oh, it’s THAT GUY.”[/quote:14jpavo8]

Having a Hanson member is kinda off-putting, but I’m interested to hear how it turns out.

I heard that Christian Bale came into The Watchmens directors office and threatened to use his bat-fu on him if he used \"his\" song.
    Bale is insane.

It looks even better than the fake video they put together for that games trade show a while ago that everyone attacked.
Flower looks interesting, it’s one of those weird original PSN titles that I look at and go \"WTF?\" but at the same time want to try out.
