I’d agree that peel sessions seems to be the most common. I have a feeling the pressings of all the wlps were well in advance of 25. I’d guess around 100, and probably more given how often they show up but that’s only a guess. I’d say the best thing to do if you’re really interested is try keeping a tally of how many show up on ebay. That should give you a pretty good idea of relative scarcity. If you’re interested in what I’ve got I can post a list next week some time. I think statistically it’d be more representative to follow ebay though. I obviously have the common stuff but then I have stuff that is considerably rarer, so will manilla and a few others. Seeing that there are so many in people’s collections could make them seem common but I may have seen 20 peel sessions wlps to one of the rarer ones. Make sense?[/quote:2p5g04tu]

Well as I see it on ebay then I have seen most of "I am one"
So it’s really unclear that way too I think. but it’s the most common way to sell/buy record on so ofcoarse it’s the best way to keep track.
However we as a "collectors bunch" can make an even better check if we gather all information that we got.
Like the "my collection" thing (awsome arthur, awsome!!)
I’m really curious to see how many of each WLP and TP we can find together so please post here the ones you got, even the more unusual ones.

Like the discussion we had about red/yellow labels. Maybe there is all sorts of combinations, blue/yellow and so on.

I’m happy sorting the things out in a "clear way" so keep posting or mail/PM me the info.

Arthur, an article would be great once we know more, good call.

another adding to my I am one WLP:s

Looked at the records and noticed that both of them got \"flaws\" on side B
Looks like there was not enough vinyl when making them or something
The peel session looks good but cherub rock got like a perfect look with a mark that looks like someone dropped water on a watercolourpainting… (hard to explain)

Are you sure I Am One white label promo is more frequent on eBay? I think Peel Sessions and Cherub Rock were the most frequent ones, but I might be wrong.

And those spfc.org numbers are just estimates. Not sure what makes a test pressing a test pressing, or what makes a WLP a WLP. They look the same to me. I guess a test pressing doesn’t necessarily come in the generic Hut sleeve.

The question "Is there a difference in the pressing quantity?" is a bit weird to me. It might be better to ask if there’s a difference in availability. Because I don’t think they pressed a couple of WLPs with artwork proof and did another pressing for WLPs without artwork proof.

I think it goes like this:
    – they press a very small number of test pressings (3? 5?)
    – then they do a small run of WLPs (25? 100?)
    – next to that they do the artwork proof prints – some WLPs are spread with artwork proof, others without

    I don’t know. That’s how I see things. It might not be 100% accurate.[/quote:zytvyvi9]

I think you’re right. But it’s really interesting to find out .

Can’t we all give the info needed in this thread and I will put together a googledoc with all information availible.

    Like This:
    I got
2 I am one WLP with HUT-sleeve, Yellow on side A and red on side B (Y/R from now on)
1 Peel session with HUT-sleeve and final production artwork, B/B (Blueish/Blueish)
1 Cherub Rock with HUT-sleeve B/B (engraving Claire)

If everybody contribute with what they got then we can get a better view of what’s around.

    Anybody?
    Get it coming, WLP:s acetates/TP:s

    yupp, agree
But still it would be nice if one could know how many copies :-)
How many are there on this side for example?
I think that these may be hard to find out on the \"market\". Just because it got the names on it.
Even if you don’t collect SP-recordings it’s really cool to have a promo copy with your name printed on it.
So the persons with them may want to hold on to them….
    Am I right?

Anyone that can confirm the numberthing os this release?
Manilla, didn’t you have a lookalike in doomsdayclock, has it a number?
And does anybody know how many of these there were made?
Mine seems to been sent to a dutch guy. Regarding the worldwide release…..

    haha
Went up to the attic yesterday and picked down all my old SP posters and magazines.
Thought of asking if I should send in them also as items.
Well the answer is already here!

Great to see more items coming.

Can add that almost all my magazines are tradeble/buyable if the deal is good :-)

    Man Arthur!!
You really have started a lot of threads that are really good.
This is a great subject for the my collection thing I think.
If everyone could add their number to the collection.,
    By the way.
    I got number 82

Well I’m fine with Hong Kong. Just didn’t see any signs of that on my example.
If I would go just for the numbers and codes I found I would think of Nederlands. But if the most were delivered from Hong Kong then its probably is that.

Or were you talking of suggestions for the \"my collection\" thing?

This is Greaty, Cool, fantastic and so on…………………..

Love to have a way to print this out in an easy printable way :-)

A way to insert number for the numbered stuff? (ex. SD wooden box)

And then I wonder if I’m totally blind me too…?

Adore with the VCD is it here? And I withdraw that question :-)
    Found it! But Hong Kong?

where did you buy it? does it have a bronze or silver plate?[/quote:jgyu6cq3]

    It’s silver.
I see now that the barcode on the cardboard box is put upon another barcode.

BNought it in 1996 (i think) from a swedish rather big post/internet seller.
    (hotstuff.se I think but maybe ginza.se)

Apparently leaving it in a fridge overnight will ‘flatten’ it, although I wouldn’t try that unless a bizarre mood takes you. :)[/quote:2cvj7n0y]

Thanks for that tip. I have to try it on some other flexi first. Got 2 I am one, maybe I destroy one and put it in the freezer ;-)

or I’ll try it with my Russion Dylan Corrina, Corrina flexi :-)

I remember the \"autographed CD\" caused me a lot of doubt in the beginning.
    Mine is number 82
got the simple foldout booklet and the CD with the virgin logo on top.
    No barcode on bottom.
The barcode on the cardboard box says : Made in USA SP009

    any clues ?

    Yeah it sucks.
And when you spend a fortune on an item…. you really want it like described, \"mint condition\"
I’m really picky about my items too so….

He said also to me that I should have contacted him before buying and asked about condition.
I don’t think I should do that when the despription is clear and the picture associatet with the item is fair.

I should have been harder on him but I really want to have that flexi so I let it pass with a compensation.
Anyone knows how to make a flexi flat? ;-)

    And another one.

    http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie … 0090834411[/quote:27i0uh58]

And that seller is hard to trust in his judgement of condition….

I bought the flexi daughter of him and it was stated in "mint condition"
Then when it arrives it got a bigg pressure/burnmark in the middlen making the pickup jump at the end of the song…..

Contacted him about it and he said "ofcourse it’s not perfect, it’s 17 years old" !! :-)

Finally paypal got him to pay me back abot 1/3 of the value….

    i think its a cool collectable item.[/quote:1o5nd0op]

Sickly cheap if you ask me!! I paid even a bit more for it when I bought it new in 1996 (I Think)

Really shows how the market can value somethings different but at the same quantity

Compare with other items limited to 1000……..

I think it’s a really cool thing to have in the collection.

I have a few test pressings with different colored labels on either side as well. With Hut, they all seem to be some pastel version of red, green, blue, yellow, or plain white.

I’ve never thought of this as remotely relevant.[/quote:1263cztx]

OK, but you say test pressing??
    Do you mean like WLP?

I also wonder how the recent sold 10" I am one "test pressing" can be exactly numbered at 10?

OK, thanks. I got two so I know there are more than one…. :-)

But what about the quantity on the WLP?

This is final mixes printed just for promotional ?

Nope the cover is an ordinary Hutsleeve, the part I show is a photocopy added to it.
Does testpressings have a different matrix?

When I first saw one of my records on e-bay there was no info on the redish side. Then someone asked if the oter side had a different colour, and the answer was yes, its redish.
So somebody knew about two coloured labels…..

Why buy something on Buy Now and then don’t pay??
Well I’m glad that I have it now!!
Got a signed letter where the seller confirms that it is the acual pumpkins that signed it.
In my eyes it looks very real and the autographs seems very authentic.
A bonus for me that I didn’t own the actual Gish-editon before this either :-)
By the way, I showed him the conversation here about the CD and he was very amused ;-)
