there is a test press/wlp for siva. it’s pretty rare, but i’ve seen it for sale plenty of times, i just never bought it cause it usually goes for a lot.

i’m beginning to just call these fuckers the same thing (tp/wlp).

1979 UK confirmed. i own this. there is also one for 1979 mixes.

the siva/rhino promo is a promo in and of itself, so i don’t think they would make a promo for a promo.

so yeah, it brings me back to the caroline issue. the siva is a good example, brandon, i forgot about that one. but it seems this was made as a promo, for intention of being released as such, and then either pulled or just pressed in very limited quantities.

which leads me to….where are the test presses for the 12\" releases? me thinks they don’t exist.

i do think a UK Gish tp/wlp exists out there somewhere, but maybe not, as it was originally a caroline release. but then it was remastered, so they’d have to make new plates for that.

Caroline Records DOES NOT HAVE ANY TEST PRESSES.

I’ve never seen a Gish, Siamese Dream, Pisces Iscariot, or Adore WLP from the US. I think maybe Caroline has a policy of destroying the test presses after they get the pressing they are after.

Can anyone provide a Caroline Records test press for Smashing Pumpkins (or any band for that matter)?
