It’s been two years, and I still put this album on. More so than any other. Maybe the other ones are worn down on me, but what the fuck? I hated this album when it dropped. I guess this is why I always trust in BC.
I also watched IAGW again and for the life of me don’t understand Gossamer. It’s just too long and has no real direction. Superchrist is somewhat boring because the riff never fucking changes, but I still like the song.

i disagree with the statement about gossamer. not really disagree, but i definately think it has a direction. the version i listen to is from the 7/30 show. its at the end of the residency,so i know the song was probably as polished up as it was ever gonna get, as far as structure goes. i know like every note of that performance. ive listened to it so many times. the best way to describe the song is to look at it as if it were a wave, with the highs and lows. you can hear them go from structured part, to jam, to ending the jam right where they want to be, to structured part, to extended structured part, to solo, to jam, to structured part. thats not the exatly the way the song goes. i was just trying to make my point. its a journey. but if you look at the point or direction of a song to be a opening riff, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, outro (your basic song) then, yeah, it has no direction. i was listening to it earlier this week and in my head, i was trying to describe it and i came to the conclusion that gossamer is like a piece of artwork. it cant be explained. only interpreted.[/quote:14d8l4qz]
I’ll have to give it more listens. Maybe it will grow on me as well.
I also love the solo in Stellar against the synthesizer backdrop. It reminds me of the solo in Entangled (Genesis), although the solo there is synth. I don’t know, I don’t remember BC soloing over synth before like this, but I could be misplacing shit in my head again.

i’ve always thought around $1,000 to $1,500, but that’s just me. so i figured i’d sweeten the deal a little, but this guy obviously wants a lot more for it. what can you do…just wait another 10 fucking years i guess.
