^ I think other bands have done the same thing before. Also, I’ve seen this little cards at Wal-Mart that allow you to get the artist’s album in the iTunes Store. But I’d rather get an mp3 like Arthur says than just a little card…or nothing at all.

Just saw My Chemical Romanc’s new vid for The Watchmen. I am pleased : ).[/quote:iwbebvq8]

I saw it too. It’s pretty good, but honestly? I don’t think the song is anything special.[/quote:iwbebvq8]

Yeah same here. I thnk they could have been more creative with the cover, but damn, did I miss those bastards.

They say they want to get to new generations. Being a part of this generation, I can tell you that if a teenager is going to download a song, it’s going to be done illegally.

None of my friends, including me, buy their stuff at iTunes Store, and when we like a certain song we downloaded, some of us go and buy the album (or in the worst cases, also illegally download it  ). That happens with any other band. But when it comes to bands I love, I don’t hesitate in buying the album when it comes out. I yearn to have something physical, to be able to brag about my collection.

I agree with Opiate in the part that they will soon realize this isn’t the right path.

I’m not going to lie, I despise this decision and believe it makes no sense. I hope they realize how important LP’s really are to music as they release their songs and see that they just don’t have the same effect.

Because, IMHO, it really isn’t the same to have four songs in your mp3 player mixed up that belong nowhere than having an album in your hands and grabbing your old discman to listen to it. Looking at the booklet, the artwork, the thank you notes. Or maybe just having it online but knowing that those songs were made to be together.

It’s not necessary for me to add that I love the music these guys make, but I do not think this will benefit them.

I don’t really think we’re going to get to hear the whole thing…It’s pessimist of my part but that’s the vibe I’m getting.

It’s a bit repetitive for my taste but still, I can’t judge unless I hear the whole thing =).

It is mentioned in some stories from the Old Testament (Samson, for example. David & Goliath) that thanks to God Israel was able to win the war against the enemies who threatened to destroy it. I don’t know if you see that as killing in the name of God.

I can also recall when Abraham was about to kill his son Isaac in the name of God, but he was stopped by an angel, as it had only been a test to prove his faith.

Having read The Holy Bible countless times ever since I was a child, I can’t tell of any more verses that mention that specific subject. I would love for someone to correct me if I’m mistaken.

I am afraid I do not know enough about the Qur’an or about other monotheistic books to make any further statements.

Religion is not to be taken so literally; eternal life isn’t really the life humans know. It’s something far more abstract; same with heaven.

Besides, every single religion is different. Some don’t believe killing in the name of God is right either.

And isn’t dying for what you believe in the best way to die? Your beliefs killed you, but at least you died for a reason.

Actually, in an interview with the Mexican newspaper, Billy was asked what he thought about violence gainst emos in Mexico and \"emo\" bands.

He asked what emo stood for and the interviewer answered \"emotional\". Then Billy said \"Well, I guess we’re all emo aren’t we?\"
