wow, that cleverbot fad lasted like…2 days

If the artificial intelligence doesn’t know pain or sadness, how can it know happiness? Aren’t they 2 sides of the same coin? Or are you thinking there should only be one side – happiness? How would it differentiate the feeling from other feelings? Also it depends on what sort of world it is interacting with, how does it cope with seeing cruelty, war etc? Does it have apathy towards those things or an ability to see something beyond that?

Can kind of understand them playing the main centre, and not the smaller cities, and its cool that they are able to play in Prague, but it sucks for those who have tickets for the other shows and can’t get to the Berlin one. :(

    we hang onto hope
our dreams are made in the darkness
but only by living in the light
    we may find them
    or we may deny them
    and their echoes bend around
    to greet you once again
is it real life to you
or just dreams in the dark…

^^ I was just listening to that! :)

I was looking at the Year Zero wiki page also and seeing the concept and websites for that album reminds me of what Billy was putting out with Machina – GATMOG, panopticon, etc.

A competition from Bjork – I might have a go at this :)

    cosmogony lyrics competition:

“and they say: back then our universe
was an empty sea –until a silver fox
and her cunning mate began to sing
… a song that became the world we know”

cosmogony, biophilia’s mother song and app, is inspired by different creation myths throughout history and the idea that the big bang is our civilisation’s own creation myth.

many cultures have they’re own stories about how the world began. write your own verse for cosmogony around a creation myth you know of leaving “and they say:” at the beginning and “became the world we know” at the end.

the winning verse will be added to the song and sung by björk at a live performance.

Billy mentioned during the chat, releasing some of the Starchildren live shows on vinyl as a limited quantity would be a good idea of doing something cool through the website.

That was the gist of what I remember. But again, we as the fans, are in control. IF we can support this release and get the sales pretty high, then we’ll be rewarded with future goodies that EMI will allow the band to open up and sell.[/quote:2gp2rvmq]

wow – I would love the Starchildren stuff released, even if just the live stuff.

who has the cheapest international postage for the gish and SD CD’s?[/quote:1xdj34qq]
i think you’ll be able to buy them wherever you live, without having to pay international postage.[/quote:1xdj34qq] I don’t think I will be able to, we don’t seem to get special issues of anything here . It will be cheaper to order from overseas than to travel to Auckland to buy them anyway!
