hmm I thought we were supposed to get an email about it if we had already signed up for SP news. I don’t have an email so I guess we have to sign up for the SPRC separately?

there’s also an extra item if you hover the mouse around the page a bit. :)

aw no that is bad timing :(

Isn’t the wedding in the daytime? Then you could go to the concert at night? Would that work?

yeah, that would have been the mature way to deal with it

He deleted the tweets and the thread on the board has been deleted. Way too much negatvity, I hope it is quickly put behind them and they can move on.

Still feeling sad listening to SP though :(

yeah, but now thanks to a friend pointing out some things, I am understanding why Billy did this.

He has been working on 4 different things over the last few months, with a lot of pressure to get things right, he has not been getting enough sleep (as you can tell from the recent videos) and someone attacked his band, who he has been feeling very at home with for last year or so. It was a last straw, and the stress took over and he lashed out. Dude just needs some sort of therapeutic time-out. 8)

So all this about a fucking pedal???

do i understand this right..Billy doesn’t like the pedal, so devi stabs him in the back on wankerphoria ? Billy finds out and goes down to her level and threaten her?[/quote:16wuetpg]

Yeah, that’s pretty much it. He could have handled it differently in my opinion. Who knows where it will lead, I don’t think there is any point in suing her. He should let it go, move on, and get on with his music!

Just make sure your phone is charged!

I have to take minutes of meetings every 2-3 weeks (and I hate taking minutes and typing them up – YAWN), but last week’s meeting was cancelled because of the SNOW! :D

WARNING: Negativity here, if you don’t want to know, don’t read!

    See his twitter account http://www.twitter.com/Billy

Then the oboard discussion where Devi Ever shares what he sent her in private message:
    http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/board_n … opic=16501 (starts at post #41)

Also there are posts on netphoria but I don’t go there so don’t know what is there, but that is what started it apparently. She was saying (apparently bad) stuff about him not being happy with the pedal she made for him, so he lashed out.

It is similar to what happened with the lunch auction guy who talked to his brother. I really don’t understand the name calling, and the threats, that’s just immature and not coming from a place of love at all  Isn’t that what he is/was supposed to be about??? Totally confused and disappointed, once again. :?

I don’t know if I am interested in reading this anymore after the drama of today.

Am totally taking a break from listening to SP. Really disappointed.

    Lovedrug – The Monster

    The sky is growing dark,
you should pack your bags and leave your children behind,
I hear Egypt is nice this time of year,
the shadows from outside are creeping in here,
in dreams it seems you’re lacking of the dreams you need to wake up,
just to run out of luck
Careful, the monster is round that corner and he’s waiting for blood tonight,
he knows that you might fight back
    your eyes are growing dark,
the windows to your soul are showing off,
it’s hard for me to say \"that’s how I like it,\"
baby the screaming from the cellar never helps
You’re dreams they seem to leave you alone,
in dreams it seems you can’t fight,
but some weapons would be nice
Careful, the monster is down that hallway drooling over your tasty arm,
he knows that you can’t harm him ever
But he doesn’t know you’ve got an exorcism show,
but he knows, rot in hell, rot in hell

    Deftones

I have ALL but their most recent album:

    Radiohead
    U2
    Pearl Jam
    Opshop

yeah – I wonder how many entries the competition had – hundreds of people must have entered poems that got nothing!

I personally think this thread has some poems that are better. But I am biased. 8)

you can tell it’s a crappy journalist from reading the article. it looks like some sentences are missing some words.[/quote:14ih4opa]

I dunno, it seems like a whole sentence is missing in the 4th paragraph though.

    Also
"This mini-tour coincides with their greatest hits CD." Huh?

Jane McKie’s poem \"Leper Window, St Mary the Virgin\" has won the Edwin Morgan international poetry competition – winning £5,000 – at just 47 words long, that’s £106 per word.

Leper Window, St Mary the Virgin by Jane McKie

    The contagion of lepers
    has lifted.

The low glass, where they crouched
    even lower,

    remains, but their breath,
    their rash, their lack

    has passed into the lace
    of shadows in the yard.

    Where God looked
    but did not touch,

    the lip of sandstone
    is purled with fissures.[/quote:30gm2t31]

I have paid leave at the moment too :)

that’s so cute that one guy would save the teddy bear his daughter made – awwwww!

some of those people have weird stuff they’d save – a scarf, a flag, books – can all be replaced easily

I’d grab my bag which has my passport and phone in it. It depends how much time there was if I was to save anything else, including SP items. I have a couple of scrapbooks I’d save if there was time, and maybe my computer back-up disk which has hundreds of photos and mp3s on it.

Also – some advice from people I know affected by the Christchurch earthquake – this applies to any disaster – MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PHONE CHARGED AT ALL TIMES. Yep.

I think people should find out who the artist is before making comments. Sorry, a bit pissed off by that and the fact that the author of the article just used it without any research. I work on a newsletter and always have to reference photographers or artists when pictures are used, so that is just crappy journalism.

the artwork on the official site is a bit trippy, it never seems to match the album artwork though.

Reggaeluv, Carrie, who use to post here made that fish drawing as some kind of fan art i guess and posted it somewhere. i don’t know where and i guess the site jacked it and used it from where ever it was. its not official art though obviously. and the only reason i know this is because she posted about it on facebook with a link to the article.[/quote:3pkfne6j]

Yep, they just found her artwork and took it for their article.

    everything flowing
    a state of constant change
    from start to end
    chaos and balance
    distorted seasons
    renewal and decay
    a lost opportunity
    it all turns away
    from love and disaster

Pisces, Mellon Collie, TAFH and Adore re-issues will be out in 2012.
Machina I and II will be packaged together and re-issued in 2013.[/quote:315ohgmk]

Excited for November reissues though! :)
