When all else fails though, if all seems lost; I spin up Gish and the world’s ‘perfect’ once again.[/quote:11xo3wnp]

This morning I was listening to a live CD from 1993 –

Iha: It’s of course always nice to be back in France. Whenever… whenever we break a string it gives us a small time to talk about ourselves. How much fish
Corgan: Does anyone know how to change a guitar string? It’s very embarassing. So speaking of fish, this is off our debut album ‘Fish'[/quote:11xo3wnp]

yeah um Teargarden…. my EP should be arriving in the post today – finally! I like it better than the first EP – and from the sounds of it, the vinyl is better quality too.

I just think they’re overrated. Just as U2 (uuuuh, that Bono creep!) and Iron Maiden.[/quote:3dvs5xyg]

    I’m going to see U2 on Friday :D :P
I wish I was going to see Muse again, they missed out NZ this time – only Australian dates this December. And 2 concerts each for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne too…
They sure can put on a decent live show. :P[/quote:3dvs5xyg]

… and Muse are supporting U2 on their South American tour :x

    I think its alright.

    It is basically a b-side.[/quote:22jb37j3]
Agree. But it doesn’t reach the quality of this b-side (of Disarm).

    [/quote:22jb37j3]

Definitely not reaching the quality of Soothe, it sounds like a round-the-campfire song.

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

    and

You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems and suffer and understand, for all that is life.

    U2 – Sunday Bloody Sunday

I can’t believe the news today
Oh, I can’t close my eyes and make it go away
How long, how long must we sing this song?
    How long, how long
Cause tonight, we can be as one tonight

    Broken bottles under children’s feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I won’t heed the battle call
    It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall

    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday

    And the battle’s just begun
There’s many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart

    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday

How long, how long must we sing this song?
    How long, how long
    Cause tonight
    We can be as one
    Tonight, tonight

    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday

Wipe the tears from your eyes
    Wipe your tears away
    Oh, wipe your tears away
    Oh, wipe your tears away
    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Oh, wipe your bloodshot eyes
    Sunday, bloody Sunday

    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday
    Sunday, bloody Sunday

And it’s true we are immune
When fact is fiction and TV reality
    And today the millions cry
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die

    (Sunday, bloody Sunday)

    The real battle just begun
To claim the victory Jesus won
    On

    Sunday bloody Sunday, yeah
    Sunday bloody Sunday

If you follow, let him lead you
He will take you out of this masked life
Into reality and waking you up
From a cycle of death and rebirth
Opening your eyes to another world
Another plan that has been in the making
For as long as we have breathed
Look back into the past and you’ll see
That the only choice we have left
    Is to leave

j/k, I think its the front and back of the vinyl

The constellation chart looks cool. What is on the CD sleeve? A caterpillar? I don’t understand all the artwork connections. Maybe it’s another machina mystery.
I’ve ordered mine, but I think it’s gonna take about 2 weeks to get here. :?

<<^^ that was a good one

    ………………………………………

A sense of knowing, distorted meaning
The simple truth found in eternity
    An understanding of returned feeling
A shared sympathy buried in dignity

In knots and riddles, going round in circles
    Wrapped up in traditional fashion
    Illustrated examples of perfect symbols
    Taking an alternative direction

Something that so easily defies the mind
Influential words from a distant voice
Presenting a static view of time
Too far away to even see a choice

    The zeros make another appearance
Disillusioned by what they have seen
    Something awoken, taking a chance
To relive an era from their dreams

Joining tribal echoes that match their own

A path to guide the silent
    A flashback distant
    Forget about the time
    A lifetime wilted away

    Is that where you stand
    Overlooking everything
    Summing up the glories
    Seeing what’s ahead

    The days go marching on
    As the ants march uphill
    Bearing weights of the world
    Going in the same direction

    Forward thinking, forward march
    Never changing their form
    It’s the madness of today
As their eyes turn to look away

    That’s all you get
    One window of opportunity
    And before it closes
    Take your chance

    Make the most of it
    Don’t wait too long
    It’s shattering now
    The glass is free

    To RBD:

    A dedication to the past
    The lyrics and the songs
    Finding hidden treasures
    They were buried long ago

Make a record of it now
To fill in all the gaps
    One by one others join
    Adding their own piece

    Mysteries revealed
    The puzzle put together
    Trials and tribulations
    The history now shared

This small part of the legacy
Many more stories to be found
    Your commitment is so awesome
And it’s also mighty wyrd :P

    Stepping out of the dark
    Envisioning your songs
    The mastery of melodies
    Is where your heart belongs

    A mischievous twinkle lies
    Behind that vampire grin
    These sonnets of yours
    Born from passion within

    Seeking out a new theme
    A kaleidyscope of tunes
    An ode to past heartaches
Or a voyage to the moon

And where you find your freedom
    There’s more beyond the stage
    It’s your choice to continue
No longer the rat in a cage

So send a message to the world
    A timeless story you build
    Of mysteries and gentle myths
To ensure your fate is fulfilled

    …to be continued, perhaps.

no prizes for guessing who that’s about. :P

    she treads the waves
    sailing from the dawn
    with a dragon-shaped prow
    silver wings on the bows

    a journey headed east
    beyond the lonely isles
    where secret creatures wait
for their chance to be free

    the voyagers go ashore
    hearing drumbeats and voices
    a magician’s spell is cast
    what was hidden now revealed

    so the travelers sail on
    and unbeknown to them
    the Kraken sleeps below
    dwelling in the deep

but the real perils lie ahead
    not for the faint-hearted
    sea-serpents and sleeping giants
    emerging and transforming

    the battles are not lost
for the warriors of the sea
they show their strength of spirit
with the help of a little magic

    their onward quest
    to seek the very end
    but the journey doesn’t end
    where sky and water meet

    It’s that time again
    For the freaks to appear
    In costumes and masks
    To surprise and cause fear

    Out of the shadows
    With a gruesome face
    A Thriller zombie
    Now keeps up the pace

    A witch on her broom
    A scary masked clown
    Demons, ghosts and skeletons
    A devil with his frown

And at the end of the night
    They’ll all disappear
    To return to this place
    And haunt again next year
