The family of one of my friends is having steak for Thanksgiving. I asked if he’d trade families for the night :D I love turkey and all, but it’s steak! Weird ol’ vegetarians. ;)

You know the quote \"some guys have all the luck\"? I just don’t seem to be one of them. Everything is great, I mean, just sometimes a guy can wish. Went to to Chicago for the two nights that Billy postponed. Got to go to the bar with old friends instead, so it worked out and I had fun nonetheless. Bored outta my mind and no one is around to talk to. Why must all of you enjoy daytime so much? :D

I’m sitting idly in the chat room as I work on the challenge I put out, if you pop in,wait a few minutes as it’s not my main window up. I’ll probably be in there for a couple more hours.

I like your approach now nite. Give us what you are wondering about and we can provide feedback. Works well for the lazy society that I am unfortunately contributing to day by day.[/quote:3ga4tx6k]

This one has a few gems in it. Now that you don’t mind :D

The soundcheck is fun to listen to, you can hear a few songs. Didn’t get a chance to listen to the improv yet as I’m heading out.

hmm… the last few tunes remindes me on "when the saints go marching in"…

    its quite funny :P[/quote:17ble1vo]

You’re right, but I don’t think that’s it. It sounds so familiar too.

Also, found a full song "improv" it sounds like a song from the 50’s or 60’s that I just can’t place my finger on.

    http://www.archive.org/details/tsp1996-04-19.fm.flac16

and then another from a 92 show. The unknown improv, although it could just be an extended Siva intro. Opinions?

If anyone doesn’t want me doing this, just kick me in the head :D

If anyone has a minute, I found one clip that perplexed me. It kinda sounds like noodling, but I could be wrong, so asking on here.

    http://www.archive.org/details/tsp1992-01-19.flac16

The beginning of the Crush track almost sounds like a song, but I can’t place if it is or just noodling like I said above. Any opinions or answers would rock :)

Someone asked for a clarification on what I posted earlier, so I wrote back and decided to post the example of what I wrote to clarify what I was getting at.

For example. Say you find a mid 1996 concert and a lot them had Porcelina played with a tease of Rocket and/or Beautiful sometimes. A lot of the ones listed show neither being teased with them while they did it. Finding a show that shows it as not having them teased along with, but actually having a record example of them being teased confirms they were and I’d update the listing accordingly. :) Sounds complex perhaps, but it’s simple really. Find something on a tour date from before that isn’t listed, confirm it and add it. Any questions? :)

It’s odd the amount of fans out there that go \"deeper then the albums\" so to speak for SP. Being around the online communities for well over 10 years (ugh I feel ancient) and still being friends with quite a few of them from way back then. It’s just a weird comradery between us that I have only seen in the same light with wrestling. It seems that everyone watched wrestling (WWE stuff) at some point in their life and had a favorite guy. They may hate it now, but when you talk about the stuff they watched, they look back on it fondly. Same goes with SP. Fans that lost some of their gusto over time, when you bring up their favorite albums when they loved the band will still swell with pride about it.

I’ve had more occasions then I can count with meeting other fans merely based on myself or them wearing an SP shirt, patch or other indicator. It’s like that’s the ice breaker right there and just mentioning the band to the other and you’re already friends. Talking to other fans is almost half the reason I love going to the shows. Hearing the enthusiasm when they talk about the songs and setlists. Personal experiences they’ve had and such. It’s just kinda rewarding to me personally to know that others share those special moments with the band just as much as I do.

Hey strangers. Just wanted to pop on and see what was going on. It appears I am going to post of the later SP shows in Chicago with Aaron Grant and his wife, so perhaps I’ll see someone from here there? I’ve been very un-computer lately with stuff around the house here. Lots of time with my daughter, family and friends. I hope everyone here is doing well. I haven’t started work yet, but the place I’ll be working is a solar power plant. I am becoming eco-friendly! I’ll try to pop on more when I can, so again, hope all is well. I’m just happy to be home. :)

I have a hard time loading this thread sometimes myself. Just noting :)

It’s been nice to have a few days to myself to do whatever I want now that I’m back in town. Although, Rock Band 2 has consumed my life the last few days. I’m #1 in vocals on Siva though! Well, currently at least. Starting work next week sometime, so I still have a few days to myself. I realized one really good thing about staying with a parent for a short time. You spend much less on fast food. Wait, what’s that.. I think I hear Rock Band 2 calling my name again. Yes.. It is. Ciao!

Thought for the day: Even though I am not an AC/DC fan… \"Let there be Rock!\"

I am posting this during the day for once! Being home has changed my schedule dramatically. My birthday was yesterday and I am finally out of my 20’s. Not quite sure I am happy about that  One of my friends gave me the obligatory cane with \"old person\" help items attached. I thought you got those at 40?! Get to see my daughter this weekend! Poker next weekend with a lot of geocaching beforehand!

For my birthday, I played a lot of Rock Band. Did a bit of geocaching. Then went to a friends and watched Ghost Hunters and a couple of movies. Best birthday in a while. I dislike when too much of a deal is made of them.

I have the entire day to myself today and I am not quite sure what I want to do.

Thought for the day: If 50 is the new 40 and 40 is the new 30 and so on.. Does that make 20 the new 10?! Knowing my ex wife at that age, I think so.

plus, i think its kind of offensive that he thinks that he will bring in the women voters with this choice just because she is a woman. its like we aren’t so dumb that we are going to for vote anything in skirt (or a pantsuit) just to put a woman in there. they need to be able to do the job too.

she has no experience and there has been one thing after another revealed about her that is a bit on the questionable side. it makes you wonder how much thought really went into this choice.[/quote:2hwqqqpu]

It’s kind of like the black voters will vote for Obama because of his skin color. It’s ridiculous. A good candidate is a good candidate, regardless.

People keep saying that this election is already a shoe-in for Obama, but I can’t stand by that. In 2003, we all said there was no way that Bush could be reelected. The last time I remember any election being a sure thing was in 92 with Clinton. I have never seen such support and overwhelming admiration for a nominee. In 96, I actually got excused from high school to go vote for him :D

But, here’s hoping that McCain keeps making bad choices. I honestly didn’t think they stood much of a chance before any nominations were announced, but him saying and doing all he’s done just helps my hope more and more.

I’m pulling for Obama, have been since before he announced. I like that he doesn’t follow the norm and has good reasons behind his decisions most of the time. If he had picked Hillary, I would have done a  but he didn’t.

Then with McCain picking Palin.. She reminds me of a yes-man and they seem to have very similar views on all of the issues. I don’t understand the choice though, because noone knows who she is and the views they share don’t seem to be the most popular ones to have right now.

Also, if he was trying to oust the whole historical significance of a female VP, the Democrats already did it back in 1984 when Walter Mondale nominated Geraldine Ferraro. He didn’t win obviously, but it’s been done.
