I was boycotting computers in general. Working on getting my business going and concentrating on life. But I’m back, for now lol

Is it odd that the thing I honestly miss the most about Texas is a restaurant? I greatly miss my friends I made down there and want to visit them. But honestly, when I think of down there, the first thing to pop in my head is Jack in the Box. I feel like I’m thinking with my stomach

Arthur, we need to set up a time to meet in there.. Since it’s been like.. 2.. 3 months? What’s good for you? I’m free during the day or evening from Sunday on.

I watched it the first night and saw around 12. It was pretty damn awesome. One I saw was close enough I guess that, instead of seeing a short red streak like a shooting star, it was bright and I saw a trail of white smoke following it. Freaking. Awesome.

My roommate has high powered binoculars and showed me Jupiter (4 of it’s moons were visible) and the Andromeda galaxy :D So cool to actually look at another galaxy.

Just a quick follow up on my previous post. G. I. Joe freakin’ ROCKS! I loved the movie. Definite must see in the theater type of movie to fully appreciate it. Any haters can go listen to some Karma Police and cry in a corner!

Going to see G.I. Joe very shortly, this thread came to mind. I am trying to figure out what cartoon they’ll take next and make it live action. Thundercats?

Ha! That resemblance is uncanny, but no, it’s not him. That’s the friend that paid for most of the trip so that I could go :D

Back from the trip. Just a quick picture of one of the highlights before I go pass out for a few hours.

Halfway through the trip! First time I’ve had a few minutes to jump on the computer. Gettysburg was awesome! The chocolate factory was chaotic. So many kids just running rampant. Sleepy Hollow was surprisingly non commercialized, took pictures of the graves I wanted and we were on our way. Saw the USS Constitution and the New England Aquarium. Both Rocked! Hitting the Samuel Adams Brewery today and then off to Salem. Beautiful day to go out, so this should be a good way to wind down for the trip. Probably heading back tomorrow at some point. It’s been great.

Today is the day. My last \"vacation\". I spent a TON of time with my daughter while she was here. I announced on facebook about the trip and suddenly became a souvenir vendor. People calling me asking me to buy them this or that. I didn’t realize my trip was so \"cool\" to a lot of people. History for the win. Unlike my prior trips, I’ll be logging on a computer and updating about the trip with pictures. If you want to see the updates as they come (I’ll probably post pictures here when I get back) then add me on facebook with the email niteshyft21@hotmail.com. I’m off to uh, waste time before I go!

I had a great time! Some of the family were being a pain, but regardless, it was the longest I’ve been up at the family cabin since before I was 15. Heading back up there in two days :D

For about the first time in, uh, probably over 10 years, I unplugged myself for a few days. It may not seem like a lot, but I didn’t touch a computer for 5 days. In my world and jobs I’ve had, it just hasn’t been possible. I’ve been working on computers for over 20 years. Ugh. It felt great. Now I’m going up north to the family cabin for 9 days this Thursday and I plan to do the same thing again. I hate computers. I’m not being cynical ;) Just stating fact. Life is good, the weather is cooling down a bit. Eureka is coming back soon! I am now going to go outside and be constructive. This summer has been great so far. I’m in the best shape I’ve been since high school. I’ve been jogging almost every morning and have stamina I forgot was possible. :!:

It’s two separate shops, but they are right next to each other. I went with my friend and his nephew. He ended up picking up some chocolate mint cheese. I sampled the bacon cheddar, jalapeno, horseradish, garlic and chocolate peanut butter cheeses. Then had a bit of spicy honey mustard and a couple different sausages.

There are actually two different candy shops. One is all homemade, the other has a ton of independent company candies, like an assortment of candy canes in a jellybelly assortment of flavors. Those are my favorites, I picked up a few blackberry, strawberry cream and cotton candy ones. The other place is the one with all the salt water taffy. They also have a ton of homemade chocolate goodies, including a peanut butter cup about almost as big as my hand.

I thought you’d all want the minor details ;)

Tacking on another good day today. Went out to the local cheese shop and taffy shop, purchased a little assortment of goodies after doing quite a bit of sampling. Went back and set up the road trip and got the hotels booked. :D We added a couple more stops we’re going to be making during the trip. We’re now going to take a side trip, after checking out Gettysburg, to Hershey, PA and do the tour of the factory/taste testing. Along with Salem and Boston, we’re going to hit Lexington, Concord and Bunker Hill (I believe) amongst other stops in that area. I Cannot Wait For This Trip!
