Yeah I noticed it a few days ago also. It looks genuine, doesn’t it? It contains all the tracks of the TV broadcast, and obviously pressed in a very low quantity. When this pressing went to a lot of Smashing Pumpkins fans, you won’t see it much on the market. I have never seen it before! But paying 1,125 bucks for that thing is plain and simple: crazy.

Delabel released quite a few France-only promos (pretty rare & highly collectible if you ask me! ) so it doesn’t surprise me much that every now and then we find new ones from the Pumpkins. It was only last year that I finally found (pics of) the rumoured French promo release of Mellon Collie. The reason for releasing this live promo is not known to me at the moment, I’m sorry…

It’s seriously down indeed, not even a single page saying \"Sorry for the inconvenience, but we’re doing our annual maintenance. Be back in a few days!\" or something like that. I wonder what’s happening, and though I never go there anymore lately, I really do hope they will be back soon!

The funny thing about girls is, they can drool over jewelry, shoes and sexy actors and the boyfriends should not even dare to say something. \"Weeeh, you don’t understand me!\"

But when boys drool over motorbikes, rockmusic and Lisa or Ginger, then… oh boy! Beware!

I once supported the theory that most wars on earth didn’t start because of religion, but because of girls. I very much feel like putting that theory to the test again. :P

Cool pic Artur :)

thats one long car trip though[/quote:1i17ozfc]
Yeah, but there’s no speed limit in Germany on the highway on long pieces, so me and my co-driver stepped on the gas sometimes. It was the first time I’ve seen my car going 205 km/h (that is around 135 miles/h I guess? ). To be honest, that was downhill… The traffic jams around Koln and a few other places spoiled it again however so it took us around 8 hours after all to get there, same story going back home. :?

Will be back tonight with more pics!

This weekend a pretty cool thing happened. From Friday till Sunday I was in Nurnberg, Germany with my colleagues from Holland, Spain and Ukrain to celebrate a new software product we are about to launch. We stayed in a hotel in the medieval center of this town (will show you a few pics of that later), and on the 3rd floor where I had my room… guess who stayed there too, a few meters from me?

H. H. the Dalai Lama!

Arthur, your the first person I’ve seen who knew about 16 Horsepower before I had to hit them over the head and make them listen to them! :P
I love them, do you like the singers newer band Woven Hand as well?[/quote:2dzxr394]
I didn’t listen to Woven Hand yet, and I guess I should be ashamed of myself, because I just love this intense singer David Eugene. I have really everything from 16 Horsepower, from their first cardsleeve EP called Haw till their farewell 2dvd set called Live. For a long time they were my second band after Smashing Pumpkins. Funny that you noticed this band too Cult Hero! 8)

By head, in kinda historical order…

Kiss (my first passion when I was 12-20 years old)
The Scorpions (really, got all their early vinyl, including their debut Lonesome Crow from 1972!)
Rainbow (I was, and still am, so hooked on them that even before I had a cd player in the early 1980’s, I already bought my first cd: Rainbow – On Stage)
Deep Purple (I was 11 when I heard Child In Time, and from that moment I was into rock. And I probably will be till I die)
Uriah Heep (Gypsy, July Morning, some of my life anthems)
Iron Maiden
Gary Moore (creator of a few of my life anthems also: \"Nuclear Attack\", \"Devil In Her Heart\" and a few others)
Led Zeppelin
Hallo Venray (life anthem that tops them all: \"Tuck, The Man\")

Reboelje (some of my life anthems came from them also: \"Gjin Liger\" & \"Folksgerjocht\" & \"Kom mar kom mar\")
Accept (creators of 1 of my life anthems \"Son Of A Bitch\")

Picture (Dutch metal band, creators of another life anthem \"Bombers\")

Dead Kennedys
Butthole Surfers
The Cure
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Rage Against The Machine
Left Hand Freddy
16 Horsepower
Muse
Faithless
Massive Attack
Portishead
System Of A Down
The Mars Volta
Noir Desir

(and these are the bands I remember by head now of which I know I got (almost) their whole back-catalogue… and still play it on a regular base also… :D )

And today I received my Xmas box from Australia stuffed with several rarities previously owned by kittykat. Boy oh boy! That BBC disc with 10 live tracks from the 1993/09/15 – Manchester UK concert… oh man, that CD alone is just awesome to hold in my hands! And that’s only 1 of them… Several TEITBITE acetate/promos that are not even on the site yet, that Perfect Virgin inhouse disc, etc. etc. it’s simply astonishing!

Speaking to you is a happy collector. 8)

(but still feeling sorry a bit for kittykat, as I know once he was as happy as I am now, and sometimes selling these things can feel like a little piece is torn from your heart… Take care kittykat!)

Arthur, The SPfreaks Preacher Man:

The OFFICIAL Moon tape is on the site, with rather clear pics and everything. The Cassettes section shows EVERY other known OFFICIAL promo/demo tape of the Pumpkins, just to avoid any confusion between hardcore collectors like you and me and many others. So anything else being offered to you that looks differently like what we show on the site here should make you very suspicious, at least! Then asking a question here on the forum will always help, as you can see in the history of the forum.

Anyway Rocket Baby Dolls… At least you can help us now with making clear scans and provide the first item in the new section Cassettes (Non-Official). Should make you proud also, in a weird sense, right? 8)

looks like you missed this two months ago: http://hipstersunited.com/blog/archives … signs.html[/quote:l5d1ez9d]
By the way, I would be VERY sceptical about the info on HipstersUnited.com if I were you.

When a critical comment was given to sp.com about that writers job:

"Hmm…

Why even bother? Hipstersunited.com is already doing this, and quite well I might add. I’d rather write for them, anyhow. I wouldn’t have to kiss Billy’s ass for a paycheck."

Then someone from sp.com replied to this person:

"What makes you think we aren’t paying hipstersunited all ready?"

And I hope I’m not asking too much now, but scans of the backs of the postcards would be appreciated also…

Then that’s most probably even closer to the auction period, right?

Also I remember discussing that auction with Thom, 1 of the other founders of SPfreaks. He wanted to bid on it, but as far as I remember, he didn’t actually do it. Maybe he had been buying other expensive stuffs already, as at that time he was bidding on everything with the name Smashing Pumpkins on it.

I really miss that guy, I wished he was around still.
