Yeah, kinda. I know this person for many years already, and I don’t want such thing to backfire on me also. You know, even with the higher price for this Billy CD, I paid the same amount for this 10 CD set as what was paid for the Live Bercy Delabel promo, to give you an idea. Before I paid a little less, even. Still a nice deal, I guess.

    def. BCs handwriting. no worries…[/quote:13gqd9kx]
I contacted the seller, who states it is original handwriting, and no copy. 8)

I was decent enough to compensate that with a higher offer for that item, while we agreed on a set price already.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Bram, I was a little confused too. But when I compared the W and E for example, Billy writes them differently.[/quote:21dg140v]
but those are mainly small letters. the machina promo is all capital letters. of course there are going to be differences between how someone writes GLASS and glass, or E and e. no?[/quote:21dg140v]
Fair enough. Maybe it is Billy’s handwriting after all. And I think Derek is right, I have seen this promo with the SP logo somewhere before, so it must be a tracklist copied from another source… Or this is the source maybe? I hope to receive these items in September I hope, after I paid the full bill. Will keep you guys posted, as usual! :D

    Hehe.

That article is from Billboard magazine, January 16, 1999. The remixes cd is from July 1998. That reporter must have been sleeping, since he was very late with this news, and he called the recording period \"fall\"…

so, can any info be given on how you found these? i can only assume it required a proper amount of digging. do you have an inside source in the record company somewhere?[/quote:4t6pl1na]
Haha, well, almost. These items come from a very old US friend of me, close to the band with a network in the music business. He provided me with quite a few nice Smashing Pumpkins items over the years, but this time he struck it big, I guess. He never told me how and from who he got the items, just that it is honest business with the managers and whoever within Virgin. So I never asked further, and just let him do the digging…

BTW, this is a tip for you collectors. I have quite a few of those business friends everywhere around the world, from Australia to South America and the US/Canada region. Keep in touch with them on a regular basis, be nice and friendly, play fair, pay in time, and they will consider you as the #1 on their list to contact when a rare item hits the market. Look beyond eBay, is what I’m saying also. 8)

Haha, I couldn’t help but to laugh about the replies he got there.

I hope he doesn’t sell it all. It’s not that special anyway, and I’m under no circumstances interested in a gold colored obelisk. Since the cd contains the same music as the standard release, there is absolutely no reason for me to add that item to my collection. :P

yeah i know, but it’s weird they type and print it out on the insert.

still one of the coolest finds, arthur. i’d pay a fortune for that cd.[/quote:2oz2pz2k]
You mean more than 150 bucks? That’s what I agreed on eventually. That includes a package deal discount for 10 rare cds in 1 go, btw. It’s by far the most expensive cd in the package, but I think it’s still a rather fair price for this rarity, right?

These are the other 4 cds I just obtained.

Let’s say Billy his taste for music and hot bass players exceeds his taste for cars, by far.

I’m in the middle of some whealin’ and dealin’ about 10 quite cool Smashing Pumpkins items. Here are 6 of them, the ones that I hope to obtain at least. It’s funny to see that the Untitled track is from 1 day before the United Center, Chicago show.

No doubt, amnesia, thanks for the invitation. I’ll bring a female friend of Shannen too, if you don’t mind, because I promised her to go together to the next concert of the Pumpkins. :D
