ArthurSpectatorI could use a laughter, thanks!
ArthurSpectatorHey RichardH, welcome to our humble forum! Very nice to see new people jump in every now and then!
Your poster is cool, rare (never seen it before) and you can be proud to have found one for a really good price. kylie and manillascissor, well respected friends and huge collectors themselves also, said it all. I have nothing to add but: enjoy this thingy, and I’m sure you will.
I will take your pics and use them for our online collection of Smashing Pumpkins items, are you OK with that, RichardH?
ArthurSpectatorThat’s pretty overpriced indeed. But I guess it’s very rare also, maybe even more rare as the Freak promo. The Freak promo CD-R went for 50-75 bucks all the time, if I’m right?
ArthurSpectatorand this 4th promo is a nice discovery. I’ll upload the pics from eBay in a while.

Done.

ArthurSpectatorI have 3, and this 4th promo is a nice discovery. I’ll upload the pics from eBay in a while.
ArthurSpectator"Note SPfreaks: the order of the songs on the CD are very different as the tracklist suggests."
Shouldn’t that be "very different to what the tracklist suggests"? Or is the tracklist suggesting it is different?
Also, the order of the songs is very different. (The order is the subject, not the songs.)[/quote:cgdqbp7g]
Yup, correct. My English is sometimes a bit poor. I think my Japanese is even better.おかげでブラム、SPfreaksサイトで私たちを助けるためにあなたの果てぬ努力!:Dさん

ArthurSpectatorHaha, don’t worry, guys! This set of rules is only meant for new members that are creating a new account in the future. Existing and appreciated members like you 2, with at least 1 post on the forum, or with at least 1 item in their My Collection list, will never be effected, of course! So, with several 100 of posts for both of you, you can even stay away for 1 year, if you like! And when you return, your login will still exist, and your posts are welcomed as ever… Again, don’t worry!

ArthurSpectatorIt’s pretty cool indeed, but I see this for the first time. I really wonder if it is a genuine band-related item, but that doesn’t really matter of course. I’m sure you enjoy it anyway!
ArthurSpectatorHi Kylie and welcome
You probably have one of the most beautiful collections ive ever seens, very impressiv really.
[/quote:3gv6fey9]
I second every word of this.kylie, maybe you want to start using the My Collection feature on our website, to keep track of your immense collection. You can also use it for creating a wantlist, and a list of items you are willing to trade/sell. If so, I’m sure you will run into items that are not in our online database.
It would be highly appreciated by me and the other collectors that use My Collection (a few 100 worldwide) if you could send us a pic of the missing item(s), so we can put it online? No rush of course, i can understand that you spend 16 hours a day enjoying that collection you have, and then the rest of the day is used for resting and sleeping, after all that excitement…
ArthurSpectatorYeah, we are on the PM over there.
ArthurSpectatorNow this is what I call a Smashing Pumpkins collection.
ArthurSpectatorYeah, same one.
ArthurSpectatorJust returned home from a 1 week holiday with my wife to Prague, Czech. Wonderful city, I shot a few hundred pics there. These 3, taken on the very old Charles Bridge, are amongst the finest, just my humble opinion.

ArthurSpectatoris this really worth that much? I could be wrong, but
yikes!! i wish i had that kind of money to spend on a record.http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-RARE-Smashing … 4155c131a8[/quote:3p8ttzhj]
The start price should have been on 1% of that amount, and the seller, having his lucky day, could end up getting 5% of that amount. That’s what I paid for my copy also. So yeah, it is waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced.
ArthurSpectatorYeah, nice! I wished I could see the total picture of this nice poster. Can you take a new pic of it, please, and post it again? Good luck and have fun with it in the meantime! I’m sure you are going to frame it, right?
ArthurSpectatorFinally I can add Freak promo CD to my collection. A stupid eBay sniper made the price go up to 55 USD however. But in Euro it is way cheaper, luckily. So I’m happy anyway that the stupid sniper didn’t win it.
ArthurSpectatorBy the way, in the end I choose the Lexus CT200h Hybrid (Luxury Line + moonroof, so with almost all options available) for my next company car. I will have it in April, and I’m very excited to go drive it!
And I want to share a New Years Eve pic with you guys, as a somewhat funny thing happened on that night. We spend that eve in Amsterdam in the Red Light District with some friends, and there was a fire in 1 of the (whore?-)houses. A police truck quickly drove there to tow some cars away to make room for the Fire Brigade, but instead it took another route (possibly some drunk people jumping in front of the truck, so the driver had two options: override them, or take a detour… that is what 1 of the police officers told us), and it get stuck in a little restaurant in the Red Light District. It happened just around the corner, we heard a huge noise of breaking glass. And this is how it looked like when we went there…
ArthurSpectatorI treated myself on a little Xmas gift, I had my If All Goes Wrong poster framed.
It’s very impressive in reality, the pic doesn’t do justice to the actual looks. It’s hanging next to the Stand Inside Your Love subway poster. All in all, it’s a pretty cool addition to my Smashing Pumpkins Music Room.

ArthurSpectatorUpdated ownerslist. Based on the CR01 copies around that are confirmed, there are 6 sets at least. I’m still puzzled if 1 of the sets from Aspecialkid, O’Doyle rules and Mike Roche ended up in the hands of Bram and/or me.
Complete sets
Arthur: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04 (via Virgin representative -> Shawn)
Bram: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04 (via eBay -> Derek)
Aspecialkid: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
O’Doyle rules: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
Mike Roche: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04Incomplete sets
Bram: CR01 CR02 CR03 (CR01 via eBay, CR02 & CR03 via eBay -> Ayoe)
Eazye121: CR01 CR03
Store -> Recast As Child: CR03 CR04
Ayoe: CR01 (via eBay)
Shawn: CR01 or CR02 (via eBay)
Billy Corgan: CR04*
Kittykat1979: CR0?
Smashing Turnip: CR0?*: I assume the copy on MySpace was Billy’s copy. If I remember it correctly, it was just a picture, without a comment whatsoever, so there’s still a small possibility that this is the picture of someone else’s cd. (quote Bram)

ArthurSpectatorIf I read the info above carefully, this is the updated list that Bram created long time ago. I think it’s fair to believe that at least 8 sets have been pressed of this Virgin M2 US promo.
Virgin representative -> Shawn -> Arthur: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
eBay -> Derek -> Bram: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
Aspecialkid: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
O’Doyle rules: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
Mike Roche: CR01 CR02 CR03 CR04
eBay -> Ayoe: CR01 CR02 CR03
Eazye121: CR01 CR03
Store -> Recast As Child: CR03 CR04
eBay -> Bram: CR01
Kittykat1979: CR0?
Smashing Turnip: CR0?
eBay -> Shawn: CR01 or CR02
Billy Corgan: ? ? ? CR04**: I assume the copy on MySpace was Billy’s copy. If I remember it correctly, it was just a picture, without a comment whatsoever, so there’s still a small possibility that this is the picture of someone else’s cd. (quote Bram)
ArthurSpectatorThere’s a thread about this[/quote:jjl06qnf]
True, let’s not derail this one.
ArthurSpectatorI know what you mean. At least Derek knows that the set is in good hands, and all known complete sets are in Dutch speaking countries. He will feel extremely proud about that, I’m sure.
Talking about this MII Virgin US promo set again, could it be safe to assume that there are maybe around 10 complete sets, 1 or 2 of them sets were split up during the year, hence the few eBay auctions with 1 CD of this set only, and the rest of the sets are owned by the band members and their management? And only 2 complete sets found their way to the market, and are in European collectors’ hands now?
