Cool Arthur! The story you wrote about Eddie preparing for a gig would be cool to read.[/quote:2353hbpb]
Obviously we all have our Pearl Jam stories, so cool!

Well, I didn’t keep the original story, but I remember I wrote something about Eddie waking up in a hotel, and then preparing a special drink for himself. It consisted of broken glass, pieces of metal, acids and stuffs like that. Then also some instruments treatment in the same style to get that grunge sound, and only then he would go on stage. Rather silly altogether, but it was enough to be the winner of the contest. I believe that contest was done by some radio dj of a Dutch program of the VPRO Radio, a wellknown station for several recordings and broadcasts of Smashing Pumpkins too. I have always been very proud of that Ten promo… 8)

This morning I was driving to office, with that boot Pluggelectric in the car stereo… playing I Am One over and over and over… Jimmy’s state of the art drumming, D’Arcy’s bass pounding my kidneys… that squeeling guitar on volume unbearable… do I feel refreshened and full of energy… YES! 8)

Hello! Welcome here, Murder! Surprise! :D

Thanks for taking some of your scarce time to visit here, Murder, and give some more inside info on your latest work. I’m quite sure you didn’t take my words too personal, I know though that creators of art put a lot of themselves in the things they create. Am I right, Murder? My apologies if I was throwing the stones a little too hard…

Of course I understood the links to the actual documentary, I’ve seen it a few times already. But let’s say, what is humour to the one, is just not working for the other. I’m way more into that \"James I\" vid, it is more subtle, you have to go a little deeper to see some things. It has more irony & even a little sarcasm, instead of exaggerating the things we already know. For me that last type of humour is a little cheap and superficial. I hope you understand what I mean… It’s hard to explain.

Nevermind. Keep it up Murder, you are a class of your own in the Smashing Pumpkins community, and we wouldn’t want to miss these vids, really! 8)

Look who made it to the #1 spot…

(the trick: vote around 15 times 10, and his score will go up with 0.01. After 7.12 average it stops though…)

i think Arthur’s problem is it lacks pornstars :P[/quote:jr1xo26w]

No really, his style is a classic, and I admire him for that. I couldn’t do it, even if I had the time and the tech skills. I’m not offending him personally of course, I’m sure he is a really nice guy and all, and puts a lot of effort in his work. Hats off to that!

It’s just that his latest work hardly brings a smile on my face… I hope I’m allowed to say that, amongst multiple times more fans of his latest piece of work. Go ahead, enjoy it! Don’t pay too much attention to my grumpy old voice, please… :P

Oh Murder, if you’re reading this, it would indeed help for next time, if you bring in some SG…

Davin, I’ve arranged an interview with John van Luyn, the guy that managed to hire the Pumpkins in 1995! Also, he is diving in the Melkweg Archives today to check what is left of contracts, posters, etc. (but he warned already that he is afraid that most will be destroyed already…) 8)

Hmmm… I’m sure you all liked it very much (and please, don’t let me stop you of course!), but I just can’t get the clue(s). To me it’s just some random & senseless scenes that are cut and paste together in no specific order, no cliffhanger(s), no real jokes, but only superficial references to persons and situations. The only 2 parts that I liked, and that brought a little smile to my face, was Jimmy drumming like crazy in the beginning, and the credits at the end… Sorry to spoil the fun, but this is what I think of it… Murder has done way better in the past, this is by far not his best work. The typical cartoon style he works with was, is and will remain awesome on the other hand. But he should work more on the storylines (he calls it \"if something goes right\", and then Jimmy commits suicide on the end, in a weird reference to some Terminator movie? ), and start bringing in more pointy & sharper jokes. Just my humble opinion…

I will be a fan of his work, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that this last one for April Fools is missing me. This one however, cracked me in 4 pieces! A welldone piece of work!

Ermmm… no, I don’t think so. Shannen gets wet (hey, no comments please! I’m just sticking to the subject of this topic, yeah? ) on places where I want to poke her with some of my bodyparts, so I guess technically that makes me the dude. Maybe I should check the biology books again, but that’s what I remember from school days, way back. :P

    where does Davin live?[/quote:1k14tcpn]
Chicago. He’s on a pre-marriage holiday, enjoying his last moments being unmarried…

He spoke very good words about his future wife Emily, which he knows for many years now. Davin is an impressive guy (in many ways  ), he knows the Pumpkins at least since early 1992, as he still remembers the first cassette of Gish he listened to in 1992, and the very first SP concert he wanted to attend (in April 1992 if I remember well), but he missed it because the other band (Guns ‘n’ Roses) chickened out on the second night… And man, all the details he knows about the band, all the funny anecdotes he shared, he’s like a passionate, talking, waterfall! It was awesome to hang out with him for a few hours, and I felt sorry to say goodbye. But we had to travel back far, and the next day, duty called again… But we exchanged phonenumbers, and promised to stay in touch. And we are, every free minute we have, we send a short email to each other. Pretty cool. Also I’m trying to arrange an appointment with Melkweg, to check their archives for December 1995, how they managed to have the Pumpkins playing a secret gig there as the start of their almost 2 year long Mellon Collie world tour. We went there and we managed to get the email address of the responsible person for the Melkweg Archives, so hopefully something comes out of that… Keep you posted!
