    A riddle to solve
    To decode the truth
    Which one is right
    Which door to choose
    Step right through
    To fall into the chasm
    Hands reaching out
    Breaking the fall
    Asking what is your wish
    To return to nothing
    Or to risk everything
    Waiting in the darkness below

    Not so far away
But you may as well be
In the shadow of the moon
    Synced up with shooting stars
    Constantly searching
    But where do you look
    For the alternatives
    In these changing times?
    Given one chance
    You will find it
    All that hard work
    Will be worth it
    Its written down
In a book that no one reads
    Only some can sense
    Whatever that means

find the spark of spontaneous creativity
the stream of consciousness flows in continuity
into the vapours of electric intensity
where everything is lit up in bright sincerity
it will divide your mind into wired obscurity

I don’t get it either. I wonder if he is reading parts in English, but then, he is in Paris…. I hope someone will record it (esp. for the music).

I haven’t read Fercak’s other book, even though I would be able to understand some of it. Was never interested enough to get it. Probably not worth bothering?

I was re-reading Billy’s poetry book the other day and realising how a lot of it doesn’t make sense. :!:

    Billy tweeted recently:

Hey, if you are in France, pick up a copy of my new book \"\"Chants Magnétiques\", created in collaboration with my good friend Claire Fercak

    I can’t read French, but I’ve heard it’s a good book! I’m Mr Sell-Stuff-This-Week \"Chants Magnétiques!!\"(I don’t even know what that means!)

Wonder how it will go then…

this was written for a friend, who I don’t think reads this forum, oh well:

    some sort of threat
    an insecure cry out
    venting your frustrations
    that’s just your way

    a call for help
    a plea for attention
    making clear your intentions
    one day you’ll be okay

    you’ll see its no good
    it’s not what you need
not the right course of action
    so seek another way

    learn to trust yourself
be wise in what you do
    clearer in your decisions
    be stronger every day

that’s right – I’ve seen these ones at festivals,

    Dizzy Rascal
    Del Amitri
    Mastodon
    Eskimo Joe (Australian band)

but weren’t paying much attention to them. Also a lot of support bands – Gliss, Queens of the Stone Age…

I forgot about Republica and The Rasmus, but they weren’t that great live.

I can’t believe I forgot Shihad – great NZ band – seen them three times!

Yes, a paper with a little promo story from the label. Nothing special, but for some collectors it adds value to the promo cd.[/quote:2kxrxf5t]

oh cool, thanks for the info.

    Here lies a blank page
    Like the waiting earth
    Early in the spring
    Where words as seeds sown
    Grow to form an idea
    Inspired meaning
    A shared emotion
    What you could call
    Landscaped poetry
    To bring forth
    A harvest of thoughts
    Food for mind and soul
When all is said and done
    Leftover words
    Forgotten over time
    Devoid of meaning
    Slowly decomposing
    To nourish beneath
    The plowed earth
    Waiting once again

Not only does it have Sad Peter Pan, but these other covers:

    Garbage – Kick My Ass
    R.E.M – Sponge
    Live – Supernatural
    Sparklehorse – West of Rome

    nice view!

and nice sunset! I expect you’ll get a few beautiful sunsets from all that smoke spewed into the sky.

Black and sleek, a swift escape
    Before anyone catches on
A glimpse by a lone sailor
    His eyes widened in disbelief

    Wings unfolded, dark angels soar
With the winds of timely guesses
    What answers were you seeking?
Surely they’ll be back for more

Hidden from most as they visit
Taking a part of your soul
    Every day they return
    Trying to steal it away

So sail on the open seas
Take no notice of the edge
    One day you’ll fall off
With no soul to save the day

    Sunlight glimmers
    Through dusty grey clouds
    Rays attempt to penetrate
    The leafy canopy
    Shades of green
    With parasitic plants
    Vines choke the trees
    Creatures survive
    Under each layer
    Diversity thrives

    Here to stay
    There’s no way out
    Stuck in a moment
    That never ends
    Exploring ideas
    To reach the mind
    Stretching out
    Limited only by time
    Hands go round
    Pointing out numbers
    It goes on and on
    Where is the change
    There’s never enough
    To go around

autographed by the band – proceeds go to the Matthew Leone Fund.

And they have 10 of them to sell off.

    Suspended in time
    Motionless in space
Caught in between here and now
    A web of tangled moments
    Something crawls down
    To eat the remains
    Bad memories from the past
And the spider lets you move on

    A rough stone
    Polished smooth over time
    By tidal waves
    All alone it sits
    Shining in the sun
At the edge of the sand
    Waves take it away
    It belongs to the sea
