mr.benwaySpectatorNo, I mean I have my laptop connected to Broadband going 80 mph and never losing coverage.[/quote:a3123y1g]
80 mph = how many kbit/s are this
mr.benwaySpectatorIve never heard Jimmys album before .I dont own it.Is it any good ?[/quote:186m9ry0]
i like the album a lot… it’s a jazz influenced rock album, featuring jimmy’s drumming… half of the songs
are instrumentals, the rest with different singers (rob dickinson, billy mohler, billy corgan).
it’s definitely worth a listen, but it’s not comparable to smashing pumpkins or zwan recordings.my favourite tracks: cranes of prey, streetcrawler, life begins again, owed to darryl, loki cat
p.s.: on amazon you can listen to samples…
mr.benwaySpectatorCouple of new additions-
Zwan beermat.

mr.benwaySpectatorAnd yeah, I noticed that pretty cool Sub Pop promo collection, I had so much fun & a few wow! moments when I browsed that part![/quote:2ghqh18q]
Thanks. It’s like an alternative Sub Pop Catalog. Unfortunatly Sub Pop stopped manufacturing the Advance Promo Copies. The Full Album Promos are now only available on CDR. This is a Collectors Nightmare.
mr.benwaySpectatorI’ll scan these items in the next weeks.[/quote:3vszfytk]
I love you mr.benway, in a collecting freaks’ way (as good ol’ member bullet would say )Since when have you been working on that website? What is your ultimate goal with it? Maybe we can be at help from our side, we from SPfreaks.com? [/quote:3vszfytk]
Back in 2002 i’ve visited an html/css-training and i needed an topic for a website.
So the equation was: collecting Smashing Pumpkins + html/css = first own website
The first version was online April 2003. Over the years i’ve added more and more items and scans and
the layout has changed 2 or 3 times. So now it’s an almost complete presentation of my Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan Collection.
And there is also a little section with my Sub Pop Promo Collection . No ultimate goal. And i appreciate your and the other SPFreaks-Members work. And it’s fun to be a little part of the SPFreaks and the ultimate Smashing Pumpkins Collection.
mr.benwaySpectatorand what’s your pumpkin site Mr. Benway? [/quote:1gpdnqp4]
Even found some things we never heard of on this website. And there is probably much more, right?
[/quote:1gpdnqp4]
Yes, there are more items not listed on SPFreaks:
– 1 or 2 Westwood One Radio Promos
– CD’s from Thailand, Malaysia and China (~ 6)
– Zwan CD’s (~ 10)
– Commercial Bootlegs ( ~ 10-15)
I’ll scan these items in the next weeks.
mr.benwaySpectatorwell if you got a god camera and flash then it’s easier.
But you need to have a proper picture in the first place. If the goal is to be able to read the article.
And I suppose it is [/quote:37nkg0fi]
Yepp!
I have only a little digital camera, but i’ll try. And it sounds like a lot of work.
mr.benwaySpectatorI’ll send you (= SPFreaks) scans for these magazines (see pictures above)
– Circus, US, September 1998 (+ article scanned)
– Il Mucchio, Italy, June 1998
– Intro, Germany, October 1995
– L’Indie, France, No.23 1996
– Musica, Italy, January 2000
– Paste, US, June 2005
– Pulse, US or Canada?, September 1993 (+ article scanned)
– Pulse, US or Canada?, July 1998
– Risen, US, November 2004
– Rock Star, Italy, March 2000
– Rolling Stone, Germany, August 2008 (supplement of the regular German Rolling Stone)
[/quote:24flxgnw]it’s difficult to scan all articles:
– some pages are to large for the scanner (i.e rolling stone)
– can’t flip the magazine wide open to scan the pagesthe risen-magazine (from 2004) has some nice billy photos and an interesting interview, but
i can’t scan the pages properly. can’t open the magazine wide enough (it has an glued binding).
has anyone a hint how i can handle this (without disrupting the pages/magazine)?
mr.benwaySpectatorhttp://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=2717 (The Aeroplane Flies Lower)
