i think i can start next week scanning the items…Mr.Benway
mr.benwaySpectatorThanks Mr.Benway! Your latest pics should also be uploaded still, it is on the list… But you know… lot’s of things going on lately, as you noticed!
[/quote:35qeur9g]
yes, i’ve noticed the technical problems last week… i’m glad that that the new server works so well
an no hurry with the pics…By the way, it is not possible to search the owners of a specific item indeed. Only when an item is on a wantlist or a sell/trade list it’s overview can be viewed. If you think your suggestion should be implemented someday, please put it in the Support Forum below. That is where RedWolf is keeping track of the suggestions. As you can see he honors most of them, when he has time, and when it is within his capabilities.[/quote:35qeur9g]
yepp… i’ll try the support-forum… someday
mr.benwaySpectatorGuess i have to warm up my scanner. [/quote:3k1or3pm]

mr.benwaySpectatorgood article… but i have a little correction for the tristessa (7 inch):
And The Smashing Pumpkins released their second single as part of the infamous Singles Club series.
[/quote:2fjc5dfz]
the tristessa single wasn’t part of the singles club. at the foldover sleeve there was a singles club order form attached, but the single wasn’t part of the singles club. see:
–
–and the grey pressing is most probably not a mix between the pink and black wax. here is a quote from :
(…) Rumors circulated saying that the grey ones were the result of the plates not being cleaned between the pink and black pressings. Nope. There is no pink in those grey copies. They just simply pressed some grey ones. If this were from overlap, then you’d end up with far fewer than 200, and they would look purple, like the Rollins Band example above (see SP 72).
[/quote:2fjc5dfz]Mr.Benway
mr.benwaySpectatorHmmm, not very realistic…
– Tristessa 7inch Promo (red Vinyl)
I’m also collecting sub pop stuff, so this would be perfect… But I don’t think that there is a chance to get one…Also on my wish-list:
French Promos (Delabel)
– Les Inedits Les Inedits De \"Aeroplane Flies High\"
– Adore
– La Saga Racontee La Saga Racontee Par Max, De Fun Radio
– Mellon Collie And The Infinite SadnessCanadian Promo
– Untitled And Other Choice CutsMr.Benway
mr.benwaySpectatorEye (Demo) tape article published.
[/quote:2rjmbtqd]
Ey, cool… that was fast…thanks…
Mr.Benway
mr.benwaySpectatorI was thinking about a little story on the French Delabel promo releases. [/quote:3096yodq]
yeah, that sounds good…And also the non-existing Eye cassette release should be interesting enough for a spicy article. [/quote:3096yodq]
have i missed anything? i think so!And I was hoping 1 of you could get into the differences in matrixcodes (vinyl & cd) and give a little history of that.[/quote:3096yodq]
there are some good articles (matrix codes vinyl/lp, ifpi codes, label-codes) over here:
http://www.crimson-ceremony.net/pr3/pre … index.html
it’s an nirvana-collector-site. i think this site was mentioned here some months ago (mcis-vinyl thread… )
perhaps it’s an good idea to write an summary /quick guideMr.Benway

[/quote:1a09gjre]
auction ended, winning bid EUR 804,00 wow.
mr.benwaySpectatorfor the Tristessa 7: there were 5 TPs.
I guess somewhere aroun that number for the 12" too?[/quote:31fynp3t]The 12" was pressed in DE. Is that where the 7"s were pressed? [/quote:31fynp3t]
no, the 7"s were made in the us: mastering by k disc mastering (kdisc is etched in the matrix),
pressing by erika records.and here are some informations from an subpop collector:
http://johnpette.com/discographies/subp … tm#SP%2090the most european subpop releases were made by glitterhouse, later subpop europe / glitterhouse.
– glitterhouse catalog-nr are ‘gr xxx’ and production info "glitterhouse records – under exclusive licence of Sub Pop"
– later: ‘sp xx/yyy’ (vinyl) / ‘spcd xx/yyy’ (cd).
mr.benwaySpectator"The Smashing Pumpkins – Alternative Collection" isn’t a silver-bottomed release, no idea on the other ones…[/quote:27gswqfy]
all these cds are silver-bottomed / factory-pressed, also the "alternative collection" (at least my one).
Mr.Benway
mr.benwaySpectator(i think) this is a bootleg, no proper matrix-code, unknown label, record company:
The Smashing Pumpkins (Music World Series)
catalog-no.: MW 062-2
matrix-no.: MW 062-2back in 2002/2003 there was an russian website with lots of live- and best-of-cds. there were more
cds from other bands in this \"music world series\".here are more cds, from east-europe / russia, all available on this website:
All Stars Presents Smashing Pumpkins
