Wow…Those are phantastic bands… I like them also a lot… Back in the mid 90s i was also collecting Hole & Foo Fighters, but i sold the promos & vinyl (
) a few years ago.
mr.benwaySpectatorI’m collecting Sub Pop Promotion CDs and Photos/press Kits.
Here are some Pictures
with cds i own (‘X’) or i have information about (‘-‘), but there are a lot catalog-numbers (‘?’) where i need more information.I also try to complete the Sub Pop Singles-Club #1 / #2, but that are pricey issues.
mr.benwaySpectatorThis SP fan club with the new cd/lp releases (for like $40 US or something?) is gonna be awesome if they get it together. I just don’t know WHEN you can sign up for the SP fan club?[/quote:3goem8ae]
Hey Honeymade, the current Newsletter is about the Subscription Service for the New Album Writing! Not the Fan-Club (and Archive Material). These are two different things. At the moment you can’t sign-up for the fan-club.
mr.benwaySpectatorwho the hell is mountain

[/quote:3m10lpbt]

[/quote:1agyed4c]
Thanks… but i think there is only a "dark, dark" orange

this:%5CUS%5CVinyl%20US%20Siamese%20Dream%20(color60)c3.jpg)
These are the more definate shades, although there are also sorta inbetween variations of the colours.Probs like your "peach(orange)". Christ, some even have 2 different shades per 2lp,like here.

It seems i have to buy some more Siamese Dream Color Vinyls
(but not this one).
And my Peach/Orange is more Peach and less Orange.

Uhhh, and i can’t find my Hideout-compilations… mhhhh…
mr.benwaySpectator@some pumpkins: Looks like some cool items. Congrats. And yeah, flac rips of the tapes would be appreciated.
I received today a colored version of Siamese Dream: the Pink! So i have now a Black, Peach (Orange), Maroon and Pink.

Is there a red version of Siamese Dream available or is this only a slighty different maroon pressing?

[/quote:2lru5swx]

mr.benwaySpectatornp: (Stream)
May 11, 2009 – When the enigmatic rock group Animal Collective released Merriweather Post Pavilion in January, it immediately became an early frontrunner for 2009’s best record. Months later, it remains the year’s most wildly imaginative release, with a strangely infectious stew of tribal rhythms, pulsing synths and shimmering vocals. Here, Animal Collective stops by Washington, D.C., for a full concert â a show webcast in its entirety at NPR Music. In addition to live streaming, the performance from the 9:30 Club will remain archived on this page and in the Live In Concert podcast.
Animal Collective grew out of the avant-garde rock scene in Baltimore, Md., in 2000. The group’s members describe themselves as four best friends who grew up playing and recording music together. In the nine years since it released its debut, Animal Collective has built a reputation for crafting strange, shape-shifting songs with cascading walls of noise, polyrhythms and swirling vocals. It’s a sound the band describes as \"freeform, electronic, horror, gospel, hip-hop, soul, pop madness.\"

Wow, phantastic looking vinyl… and there is one on eBay available…
mr.benwaySpectatorCDs: Yes, regular releases and promos. Countries (main focus): UK & US, Canada, Australia, France , Japan & Taiwan (yepp: fancy Obis)).
CDRs (used as promos or acetate): I have some, but i’m not interested that much in these things (factory pressed cds are looking better).Vinyl: Yes!
Cassettes: I have some, but i’m not looking for more.
VHS, Minidisc: not at all
DVD: only the standard releases
Bootlegs (factory pressed): yes. same as Manilla, Bootlegs were the starting point of my Smashing Pumpkins Collection. But i have a strict price limit for Bootlegs: max. 20$ per cd. In the last 2 years the prices were often insane for commercial (factory pressed) bootlegs (often between 50-70$, sometimes around 100$, uhh).
Compilation CDs: No, i’m not Arthur
Other stuff: Yes. Tour Itineraries (
), Poster & Music Magazines. That’s it.
mr.benwaySpectatorBenway.This is the one you got, right.
http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?pa … S&item=168
