i have not listened to the vinyl. i don’t own any equipment worthy of playing ANY record, let alone this one. maybe i’ll work on that, but i probably won’t.

Yes, I agree. Celestials is a single. But it does not promote Celestials, the first single of the Oceania album. It’s intentional use is to promote the album (only). So it is by nature, and by heart, an album promo.[/quote:6spfcfsc]

what are we arguing about? celestials is the first promotional single for oceania.
whether or not it will have a follow-up single issued with b-sides remains to be seen, but much like to sheila, crestfallen, muzzle, daphne descends etc are promo singles, so is celestials. or are we all of a sudden calling these non-promo singles?
if it is not, then we should treat it like we did the doomsday clock promo. a one-track zeitgeist promo.
and then we should go back and do the same thing for the everlasting gaze promos.
there is a promo for it, it’s a single song, it’s a promo single.
