SuperlordspamulonSpectatorModern times torture (it’s already an old way of torture though): waterboarding. Funny thing is, first I thought it had something to do with surfing, but when it came in the news more often (as being a hobby of the American authorities to have their imprisoned terrorists speak out a confession), I realized it must be some serious shit.
Obama stopped it immediately when he became President, if I ‘m right.[/quote:2wkcnhuy]
I’m not sure, but I believe so.
What amused me was that the head of the CIA (or someone very high up), a man who would have been trained to withstand torture to very high levels, lasted only about 2 minutes during it.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorYeah, that’s pretty nasty.
I think there’s worse though.
If I remember, wikipedia has a page which is literally a list of tortures. Strange way to kill an hour or two.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorim quite jealous of the american school system, because you guys are allowed to
choose the coolest things in school. like acting, psychology, sports…….[/quote:vf2vek5m]And abstinence only sex-ed, and creationism in science classes, and massive budget cuts, and the ‘No Child Left Behind’ act…
In other news, my house is currently empty. I’m taking this as an opportunity to blast My Bloody Valentine through my speakers really fucking loudly.

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorNavio Forge – As We Quietly Burn A Hole Into…
[code:2so39zsi]hxxp://www.mediafire.com/?w2my2gmeinn[/code:2so39zsi]
Old-school emo. Starts off sounding quite hardcore, quite ‘tuff-guy’, but persevere and you will hear a song (‘Haloed Eyes’) with more raw, intense emotion than ever before. You can hear the singer literally breaking down into tears by the end of this.
A little history – This band was active somewhere in the mid-early nineties. They played two shows and released this EP on vinyl exclusively. Than broke up. That is it. That is all they did.
Obviously, because this only ever had one pressing, and on vinyl (and DIY at that!), the quality of these mp3s isn’t the best. But the music is still fantastic.
Also, why am I practically the only one uploading stuff? Share your obscure music collection, people!

Long, heavy, slowly building instrumental parts that reach climaxes where the singer unleashes one of the most heart wrenching howls I’ve heard. Excellent.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorRules:
No hot-linking images or albums. You can re-host images at http://imageshack.us (I personally recommend Photobucket, Tinypic or even Flickr over imageshack. Nobody likes the golden frog – SLS).
Ensure your tags are correct and that you have specified both Artist/Album in your post.
Upload your files in either a .zip or a .rar archive to mediaf!re.com, in multiple parts if the album is over 100mbs. The reason for this is that we know mediaf!re is safe and efficient and allows multiple downloads. The ads on other sites, such as Sendspace, are known to contain viruses on the page. Get yourself checked out.
Post your link using code tags. This prevents the links from being traced back to the forums, lowering the chance that the wrong people notice the thread, potentially threatening Jeph (owner of QC. Replace with Arthur – SLS) with legal action.
Also, please do NOT request albums.
Before you post in this thread, take a minute and consider the following:
Think of this as the community chest. Everyone is free and encouraged to contribute to it, with that in mind:
* This thread is for you to share the music that you love for people who would normally not be able to access it. This is not an everything-goes-all-the-time mp3 blog.
* Think about what you are uploading. Is it easily available elsewhere and popular? If yes, is it really worth it to upload and post here?
* Have some self control. Is it really necessary to upload the entire discography of this band? Is it all really so excellent? If it is, don’t worry. Whoever downloads this will surely realize this and look for more material on their own.To return to the community chest, imagine you one day open the chest and everyone threw everything inside it. There’s probably more things that you can use there now, but they are now buried in a mountain of debris and you’ll likely miss the good stuff anyway! Imagine though, that you come to the chest one day and you find that everyone thought about what might best serve us all and then neatly placed it inside. This is what this thread should be.[/quote:jhfjh69w]
Just thought this would be a good idea to post here. Everything needs rules and shit, keep it all good and stuff. But yeah, follow these and you won’t go far wrong.
And if I can finish my Physics coursework tonight, I’ll post some good stuff by a little british band called Rinoa.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorand on another note- i actually saw someone this morning on the city bus listening to a portable TAPE player![/quote:2a49qqvl]

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorEr… thanks and all, but my birthday’s in October.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatori’m glad you like it. i will find some more stuff later. [/quote:30zhw10v]
Just so you know, you don’t have to find anything – you can just upload and post music you already have that you want us to have too. It’s what I’ve done thus far.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorGood stuff Honeymade and blue!

Another post-rock album, but wholly different. This music is gentle, elegant, dreamy. Take a retro-futuristic world, give it a sepia tint and make everything move slowly and fluidly – this is what it would sound like. This is the music of an autumn evening stroll, where the leaves are red, orange and golden; the sun illuminates them and casts your long shadow against the ground. This is an album for the morning after a snowstorm, where the ground is as pure white as it can get and undisturbed – snowflakes drift through the air leisurely, settling in your hair and on your shoulders, and when no-one else is around. If ‘A Trip To The Moon’ was played at half speed, this would be the soundtrack.
This is a beautiful, breath-taking and oh-so-calming record by a band that would, if they had their way, release everything on vinyl exclusively. In fact, their only CD release is the upcoming Japanese edition of this EP (with 3 extra tracks not here…).
Also, take a look at their myspace – see the videos on the right? The one with ‘made by our good friend sam’ above it? Well, it was made by your good friend sam
But enough talk. Just listen.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorIt is undeniable that music connects with people, in so many ways.
Some music makes me cry, some makes me massively angry.
But I do believe people have to have those tendencies to start with. What one person finds heartbreaking, another person sees as nothing more than whiny crap. The former is probably a more sentimental, more emotional person to start with, and vice-versa.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorbut yet they use some shitty outdated version of IE? its lame.[/quote:28u730gk]

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorWho was this Jade Goody? [/quote:1a7q0mi8]
She was a c-list celebrity, famous from Big Brother.
Basically, she pleasured herself with a bottle on Big Brother and was massively racist on national TV, prompting everybody (the tabloids) to hate her. Then she got cancer and everybody (the tabloids) loved her. She was on the news all the time, and whored out her situation to the public to make money for her children which some people think is justified, until you realise the THOUSANDS of people in her position who NEVER did that. She was basically a selfish, ugly, racist cunt who got what was coming to her.
Bah, another week and I’ll never have to see her face again.
Although on the plus side, there’s been a massive interest in smear tests for cervical cancer, and all that.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorJADE GOODY HAS FINALLY DIED
ON MOTHER’S DAY
FUCKING LOL
in case you can’t tell, i had nothing but contempt for that ugly bitch
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorLooks like Billy is becoming Axl II… Only original member left, struggling to survive with the band… pissed off at everyone? [/quote:1betblyf]
But with less of an ego (which would be hard to acheive if he were pitted against anyone who isn’t Axl Rose ), and the ability to make it onstage NOT an hour late.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorAll of your reactions are making me wonder what you’d have been like if they announced SP was splitting up completely.

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorHuh. That sucks.
Pretty hard actually.
Does it even count as the Smashing Pumpkins anymore? I mean, BC/JC WERE the spine of the band. When Jimmy ‘quit’ last time (Adore) there was still D’Arcy and James to keep it as SP, and back with Zeitgeist you had the BC/JC team, it was still Pumpkins then.
But now? Fuck this sucks.
And also: No more albums, SP are now a ‘singles’ band, selling Today for a VISA add for fucks sake…
I’ve pretty much lost faith in the modern SP. It just isn’t SP anymore.
*edit* posted to the wrong topic, apparently. Saw this one, and thus the shitty news, before the other post. OH WELL.

I took it and made the wallpaper.
