Weird, on my side (NL) it works… Anyway.

Smashing Pumpkins we picked for a couple reasons. For one, I felt like in mood, it was correct for what we were trying to do. We were trying to sort of get at the unwashed masses who don’t know anything about Watchmen and find something provocative that makes you go, \"What is that?\"… And then, also, I felt like the song itself spoke a little to the \"Watchmen\" world. And then on the third hand… it will create controversy a little bit in the fanbase because they’re going to be like, \"Wait, is that going to be in the movie? That ain’t 1985!\"

A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, who was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car. The mechanic shouted across the garage,\"Hello Doctor! Please come over here for a minute.\"

The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, \"So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind ’em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So how come you get the big money, when you and me is doing basically the same work?\"

The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic…

\"Try to do it when the engine is running \".

Great article Athur. I got another idea that has been touched on some, but I’m still trying to figure it all out. During the Siamese era there were singles that where released in Europe and then a few years later in the US. It seems that some are listed in the collection, but not all. For example, Cherub Rock, it only shows the UK release. i know the matrix code has everything to do with it, but don’t know what is what.[/quote:2lh1rhm1]
Thanks guys, for the positive response. EAZYE121, I know EXACTLY what you mean. It would be great to have some more detailed info about those UK/US releases and what exactly distincts them. But, I even have to collect all of them myself (except I Am One, if I’m right), but I never can figure out how to separate them from each other. So I’m a little afraid to buy a few more of them on eBay, and ending up buying all the same versions… So, I’m afraid I’m not the best person to write a little article about it… Who is?

Yeah congrats to you Pipoka, but I know you are not that happy being jobless for the moment :(

My thumbs up to you, hoping you find something soon. Thinking of going abroad maybe? In The Netherlands here we need tons of employees in the medical sector, for example.

    From Jeff’s interview on SP.com:

\"My favorite guitar to play right now is my SG Classic with Jason Lollar P-90’s. I haven’t used it on tour yet, but since it sounds so good, I’m thinking of bringing it out for the August shows.\"

Nietsche, here he is again, said a few things about love, I wished I had thought of it.

\"The true man wants two things: danger and play. For that reason he wants woman, as the most dangerous plaything.\"

\"Love is a state in which a man sees things most decidedly as they are not\"

\"There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.\"

\"It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages.\"

\"Whatever is done for love always occurs beyond good and evil.\"

And the lesser mind of me thinks that love for another person in a relationship has to do with some selfishness & sharing, being compensated by the other for missing character elements in one selfs personality, intense sex after a fight instead of casual, clumsy sex doing a one nighty, and the ability to be silent with each other for hours too, without having that disturbed feeling. Feeling proud for the other person when he/she is passionately busy with a hobby. Look each other in the eye with understanding, and know that you both think about the upcoming delivery of the baby, or same kinda things. To me, love is not that everlasting feeling that permanently protects you like a warm coat in winter, but it’s the string of moments that make the balance go to the right side most of the times.

And I couldn’t care less if it were just chemicals or something. It’s there, and it’s sweet to have those moments I described before. Then, I think, I can describe a bit what love is, for me. Trying at least.

Yup. That’s what you get with independant writers. Sven is a really good friend of mine, and I’m sure he means it. He doesn’t mind to be corrected a little on details or on the style of an article, but when he knows a fact is true, and sees no reason to hide it from the fans, then he wants it published. I’m not blaming him, actually I support that with all my heart. For example, see my newest article on the homepage about the Eye (Demo) tape that doesn’t exist. Nobody dares to write it down for some reason, but we SPfreaks do. We are not afraid to be \"politically incorrect\", when we know the facts are more important as the rumours. In those matters, Sven and me are very much alike. 8)

    Quick translation.

Maybe the dream of every fan: get a job at your favourite band. It happened to Sven from Utrecht, he managed to get a job at Smashing Pumpkins. \"I’m getting a good salary. It helped that I met the band a number of times.\" Together with people from AU, US and CA he writes 1 time a week for the band. He doesn’t have the mobile number of Corgan, but \"we got a hotline\" via Billy’s PA.

\"The band has a fanbase full of hatred. Everything they do will be treated with negativity. We translate the ideas of the band to the fans, so hopefully they get less critics.\" Sven will write news- & background articles, focusing on the early history of the band. \"I’m allowed to write also about the less positive periods.\"

Sven knows the examples of how fansites of Kane and Prince get a troublesome relationship with the artists. He’s not afraid that it will happen now, though the singer of the band already has his doubts on an article he wrote about an unknown track of the band. \"If it will be blocked, and it happens more, then I won’t feel that free anymore, and I might ultimately stop writing then\".
