Yeah pretty cool you found that interview so quickly bullet!

However, I have to see about that DVD thing still. It was supposed to be released before the end of 2007, and it never happened. On the other hand, Billy speaks very firmly about it. And the US shows in Chicago and a few other places sounds awesome too. I do think those special concerts will happen.

And in summer they have now lots of time to work on new material, and release a b-sides thingy I’m eagerly waiting for. Or a give away thingy like in the old days!

I’m 99.9 % sure you are right Cool As Ice Cream, they are just the standard releases with an extra card. They tear apart or throw away some of the genuine artwork and Boston Title Card Co. (see Mellon Collie) and maybe others created those cards to go with it. And that’s why I’m a little doubtful to have separate uploads for them, as their release codes and etc. will most probably be codes we already know. And it are no Virgin cards either, so it’s not really an alternative sales or release channel that brought these albums to the (jukebox) market. At first I presumed they were Virgin cards for obvious reasons, untill I found out that this Boston Title Card Co. name is on 1 of the cards. I’m glad they turned out very cheap (though Mellon Collie is still on auction, fingers crossed) as they are kinda crappy items all in all. I consider them rarities anyway, and a fun addition to my Smashing Pumpkins silver disc collection.

There is only 1 genuine jukebox cd with a Smashing Pumpkins track on it I know of so far, that’s this one.

Is that second Siamese CD gold? Or is that just a camera effect?[/quote:3jtx73av]
Camera effect I’m pretty sure. You see the burning light reflection pretty well.

Funny thingy about Pisces Iscariot: they list Blew Away and Pissant together as 1 track. :P

Oh really… wait, let me put me glasses on… ah yes, I read that already. Thank you, Cool As Ice Cream.

Now the real insiders info please.

For example, what is \"The rivalry between the Red Sox and the New York Yankees is one of the longest and the most dramatic in professional sports.\" all about?

    it is RAR[/quote:1yuf7hr9]
RAR (and ZIP) files are compressed files, to keep more files with other extentions together in 1 file, and they get compressed also, which makes uploading, sending and downloading a bit faster and easier. However, after downloading you have to "unzip" them. A very wellknown program to do that is WINRAR. That can be downloaded from http://www.rarlab.com if I’m right. Let me check that again… Yes, that’s it. Check the text on top that says:

"WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format. You may try WinRAR before buy, its trial version is available in downloads."

Then click the downloads links and follow the instructions. After installing it properly (takes only a few seconds) then you can rightclick on the RAR file and instruct to "Extract here" or something like that. Mine is Dutch, so I’m trying to translate the best I can.

By the way, MP3 files are not compressed that much, as MP3 is a very compressed format itself already. Hope this helps. I’m not really a tech guy myself also, but these things are not that difficult for dummies like me.

ok, i downloaded it, but now i can’t get it open!

What is it exactly? The pic is kinda small, just like the price you paid.[/quote:6cn5oy8r]
You can click on the picture and it will enlarge it. It is a Denmark promo Cd for "The Rose march"[/quote:6cn5oy8r]
Ah yes, thanks. That Danish promo is a bit in line with this one

    http://www.spfreaks.com/Default.aspx?pa … &item=2104

But at least they didn’t make a typo in Pumpkins… I can understand why manillascissor is questioning that Danish promo. I don’t know either… I mean, 1 song only? Typo? Obviously a CDR? Hmmm…

Anyway, for the moment I think we will put it in the genuine CDs section. EAZYE121, could you PM me your real name and country for the Hall Of Fame? That is, if you allow us to use your pic?

Then our friend Arnold is probably showing his \"smashin’ pumpkins\"?

But yeah, I know what you mean now. I searched with Google, and he appears on page 11. For some silly reason that pic is called \"smashing-pumpkins.jpg\". Weird. Looks like a bodybuilders’ portfolio pic of a young Arnold. Not that disturbing in my humble opinion. His \"pumpkins\" are hidden, but yeah, his \"smashing\" thingy is there… I’m more disturbed by the fact why that pic was named after our favourite band. :P

And here is another one for adore909 (and others also of course), 1979 fully acoustic, no drums:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=571QFT8K

This was recorded at the same date & venue as Cash Car Star, 2008/02/03 PalaMalaguti Bologna Italy.

you know what, when i look for pictures on msn search, and go to images, there is a picture that keeps comming up that is fairly disturbing, it is a picture of arnold schwarshaneger (not spelled right i know) naked, wtf???[/quote:58gwxqxj]
That’s what you get when you search for "naked senators", obviously. :P

I very much question your hobbies by the way.

Cult Hero, here is that Cash Car Star thingy for ya.

They did this in a few variations, but I thought this one is not too bad recording-wise.

(even megaupload crapped out today, so I had to start again tonight, which took another 2 hours. hopefully it works fine now)

I changed the topic title and explanation a bit. I thought it was about helping Dazey to find the most wanted booties, so he could upload them on Friday. But he banged my head seriously to have that changed, because he decides himself what he uploads every Friday on the other topic. This place is about helping each other, with or without Dazey, as it already turned out very quickly. Continue this topic in the same good spirit, guys!

Ahem, sorry Dazey… Please stop crying now…

adore909, Sendspace went haywire here. I’m trying megaupload now, as Dazey advised. But that takes 2 hours also for 130 MB it says now. I have to go in half an hour, so here you go: it will be my tonight before I see the results and post a link. Around 11-12 hours from now. Hopefully it works.

    Rock on!

I have a couple of SP tribute albums :
    Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions
    Myspace triute to..
    Gothic/Industrial tribute to..
    String Quartet Tribute to..

I like the lullaby renditions and string quartet the most (they’re both instrumental).
The string tribute also has an original composition by the group inspired by the Pumpkins "The Prize goes to the ghost children".

I also have "Takes" by Adem, which is an album of cover songs of various artist’s (including PJ Harvey, Bjork & Aphex Twin) which features a cover of "Starla", I think it is quite possibly the greatest Pumpkins cover I have ever heard :)
Really does the original justice, without resorting to it being a kareoke(sp?) version.[/quote:94102cvq]
Can we have scans of almost all of that? I mean the jewelcase (front & back), and a scan of the cd, for uploading on SPfreaks.com? Rockabye is there already if I’m right, I just received the MySpace cd scan (wasn’t there a cardsleeve promo too?) but the rest is missing I’m afraid. Well, see what you can do, whenever you feel like it. :)
