Agree, Bram. The big bucks probably come from selling Today to that creditcard company, and such things, and the iTunes and other commercial downloads, and playing live at the festivals and being on tour, I think.

Yeah, never seen that number before. When you think of it, let’s say the band makes 5 dollar of each copy… The revenues for the band would be in the order of 65,000 dollar. That is by far not an amount to pay all the bills, I guess. Just wondering…

So I went to a concert of Marillion and Deep Purple last weekend, in Essen, Germany. Both bands I had never seen live before, but when a free ticket was thrown my way, I couldn’t resist of course. Deep Purple is where my love for rock music came from, I still remember the moment when I was 11 years old and heard Child In Time for the first time…. I was flabbergasted! And wondered where that unearthy music came from! And believe it or not, but these Deep Purple guys really blew us away last Sunday, and remember, they are between 60 to 70 years old already… And still do an average of 150 shows per year!
And I have to say, Marillion was pretty good too (first pic below)…
By the way, I have a more than decent recording of this Deep Purple show (in MP3) for who’s interested.
Today I received my package from Amazon (do they really make a profit for that price I paid? boy!
) and I think it’s awesome. A very proper release. A big fat colorful vinyl that is stunning and worthwhile framing. And worthwhile playing too, if I read the reviews online. But I won’t do that, for collecting purposes. 
Hahaha, Amazon raised the price with 5 and a half dollar compared to the pre-sales price!
