ArthurSpectatorA fortress of pain[/quote:35oz1hwa]
This is already a poem on its’ own… wow…
ArthurSpectatorThe only thing I like about the actual SP is that they might play a few shows in a really small crowd, and it haven’t been like this since 2000. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a show with "real" fans and maybe meet the band.[/quote:lky0d6pv]
Agree. Last few months I have been jealous a few times with the US fans. See how they rocked at Record Store Day…
ArthurSpectatorAll these promos will be available at the big Record Fair in November, I’m sure. On eBay they tend to be a little expensive…
ArthurSpectatorI wish I was a stylist back in ’97
ArthurSpectatorSame here. It was delayed because of the Islandic Vulcano…
ArthurSpectator\"When I post, I forget I’m famous. It’s a really bad thing: I’m a good rock musician. I am one suck-ass celebrity, though.\"
ArthurSpectatorAre you guys proud/happy/etc. to have these? Is this a \"special\" thingy in your collection? Just curious, as everybody is kinda cool about it…

ArthurSpectatorI like it when people call my Billy acetates of Mellon Collie \"shit\".

ArthurSpectatorArthur bought his set from Shawn (collectspumpkins).[/quote:3mpjmjnw]
Correct, and I paid him what he asked for at that moment (300 bucks, 75 per cd, if I’m right). I don’t remember any bargaining beforehand. It was no big story. He was selling, I was buying. I paid, he send, I received. It came with a few more rare cds by the way, for example Ava Adore (Live at Letterman) Virgin inhouse promo.

ArthurSpectator… but i just checked my credit card, and $20 (â¬15,10) has been taken out by vintage vinyl. yay! bargain.[/quote:lnz80t1t]
Is that for 1 or both copies? I don’t know what was on that website… I only noticed the update date of April 12, mentioned here before…2010.04.21 at 9:46 pm in reply to: List time: owners of US Machina II Virgin in-house promo cds #41460
ArthurSpectatorRight now, I’m leaning more towards the theory that a certain amount of cd sets were made and then got split up. (Or, that there are an equal amount of copies of each cd.)
I also wonder how/why the sets were split up.[/quote:3dv17o8d]
Agree, same thoughts here. Shawn (the one and only), who sold me his set several years ago, at that moment thought (or knew for sure maybe?) that there were only 7 sets. If memory serves me well, this is what he told me. Shawn? On a derailing sidenote, I wished Billy Corgan became a member here on SPfreaks.com, to set up his personal "My Collection". Then he would notice what we miss in our online archives, so he would immediately start sending in the scans/pics of the missing items… Keep on dreaming!
ArthurSpectatorWorking on getting my business going and concentrating on life. But I’m back, for now lol[/quote:2ctceg3d]
Feel like working on the next Epic Live Compilation with me? Theme is: Covers.2010.04.20 at 9:53 pm in reply to: List time: owners of US Machina II Virgin in-house promo cds #41456
ArthurSpectatorAlready 5 CR-01 counted here… cool! But only 2 CR-04? uncool! Funny that these sets became separated in the end…? Or was CR-04 pressed in an even more limited quantity?

ArthurSpectatorThen, let me be the first one to report I have all 4 of them, the full set, so to say.
ArthurSpectatorAmazing booklet inside the gatefold.
[/quote:2ihu95kn]
Ab-so-lu-te-ly! That’s why I wanted it.
ArthurSpectatorYou think they are going to play what tonight? You left out an important part of the sentence.[/quote:3gw0ft9x]
This is what SP.com emailed around on April the 16th."While in Los Angeles, The Smashing Pumpkins will perform "Widow Wake My Mind" on NBC’s "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Tuesday, April 20."
ArthurSpectatorBuy it now-prices on eBay for these two 7\"s tend to be very high, up to 200 dollar. A few of them are still below 100 dollar though, with the bidding still going strong… You all think 50-75 dollar is kinda fair, right? Why do people pay so much for this then? Pffff… I even get emails outside this forum where to get this rarity, while I’m just as \"surprised\" as anyone else!
ArthurSpectatorI have no idea if 200+ dollar is right for this item, but I see the bootlegs go for that price also, so maybe it’s kinda normal for the genuine MCIS vinyl too? By the way, the other one is half that price, the bidding is still on…
ArthurSpectatorAdore era poster for 1200 bucks? wtf?
Ebay #150366148065
ArthurSpectatorIt finally went for a rather fair price (220 dollar), someone here grabbed it I hope?
ArthurSpectatorYeah well, it is a quality release, if I may say so… I’m not a real vinyl collector, and I got my copy for around 30 bucks also, but I can imagine that people pay a little more. 70+ sounds overpriced to me though.
