this "new" band, is it coat of arms?[/quote:1gk1nh9s]
No. It is a band called "Remove That Bible", but they were also going by the name "The Marinettis". Billy Corgan wringed the bass in that band for a short while, as far as Sven and me know/heard. There is a tape out there in the US (of course we can not say where now  ) and it’s called "Ancient Times". It has songs with Corganesque titles like Dance V1, The Will Of God, Wastelands, Dance V2, Immediate Freshness, EO, Cherie Cherie, Dance, Workaholic, Radio Time, The Contender, I Wonder, Ancient Times, Like A Cloud and Ice. That’s almost all we know now, and are allowed to spread. Furthermore, Sven and me might be able to get a hold of that tape, or, in the worst case, its digital rip. And then we hopefully can release some or all songs by the end of March, or early of April, if all goes well. Details about that are discussed as we speak. Also we still need some extra confirmation from other sources, to know this is not another hoax. Keep you posted, and fingers crossed that we succeed! :)

Funny to know now what milan did in 2 years. He started this thread exactly on 01-01-2012, then walked back to his fireworks that just ended, to bring it back to the store. Unfortunately however, he got the 35,50 Euribors he paid later, back also!

Sorry to hear that Ayoe, is it that bad already… sux! Is there anything I can do to help? Except buying that CD set, unfortunately I’m not in the position yet to have those kind of budgets, but slowly things get better, luckily. I really hope those good times will return to you as soon as possible. Don’t give up, my friend! Give ’em hell!

Found in the sometimes hilarious comments:

One of the rednecks came into class with two black eyes and a busted lip. The teacher asked him what happened, and he replied: “Well, you know what they say. You mess with one bean, you get the whole burrito.”

Excuse me, sir…can you tell me where I too can get my family portrait put on a t-shirt? Thanks!

maybe these were not marked per se as a promo?[/quote:2vf7b0lw]
I guess so. I have a signed "promo" CD of Live from 1994, the album Throwing Copper. It does not contain any promotional info, but Andre, the guy that gave it to me as a present, who is an ex-colleague and music lover too, told me the following story.

He worked in a little high profile bass building company back then, when the band Live came in his shop and the bass player talked with him a long time. (Andre is a bass player himself too). He bought 1 of the basses even, and give him their first album, with signatures as a present. At that moment the album was not out yet, and the band gave copies of the new pressing away during their tour. This is how I remember the story…

These days, while doing research on the early shows of the Smashing Pumpkins (remember that unknown 1991 US Tour gig and recordings…), and on that 1992 Paard poster (to check if it is genuine, and it is), I also came into contact with the Smashing Pumpkins’ Tour Manager of the early Nineties. Well, with his girlfriend actually, that claims that her current boyfriend was the Tour Manager back then of the Smashing Pumpkins. I’ve asked her if I could have an interview with her guy, about the early days, and about being on the road with the Smashing Pumpkins. Should be an interesting article, right! Hopefully I will hear from them this weekend again. Keep you posted. 8)[/quote:33uzxijg]
I asked them twice now, very kind and polite, but no replies so far… :(

If you don’t want it in the end, I’m in for a trade, maybe. I have the Siamese Dream black vinyl, and always wanted the red or maroon version too. Although the pink version is very cool too, as a second (but almost first) choice. Well, let me know someday. Meantime, enjoy this Japanese beauty. 8)
