Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorah, i didn’t get that from the title. i understand now. yeah, that’s a possibility. kinda weird that they would sell it though.
first i thought the person who posted the pictures only recently bought them. (or maybe he did?)
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorspfreaks for the win!
hi!

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorwould this be real or a hoax?
and if it’s real, how come it’s in the stores already, but nobody has heard about it before?
also, there seem to be two different items. are they two zeitgeists or is only one of the two zeitgeist and is the small box a completely different album/artist?
2008.06.06 at 9:54 am in reply to: Cable network crash in NL caused SPfreaks.com to be offline #17194
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorhuh, that’s weird, i didn’t notice it was offline for so long. i thought it was just shortly earlier this morning.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorweird that spfreaks.com only has the one that comes in a jewel case. i can’t check right now, but i’m fairly certain that i have this promo, but in a plastic sleeve with paper inserts. i would even be inclined to say that the plastic sleeve one is more common than the one that comes in a jewel case.
i wouldn’t be afraid of this being a fake.
i’m not saying the jewel case one is a fake, but it’s more likely that someone put the paper inserts from the plastic sleeve and put them in a jewel case, than the other way around. (my bet is that both versions are real and were released as such though.)
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorDoes this mean if the owner of vinyl #01 was male, they’d not have the equipment to father children?[/quote:7vg14hku]
Obviously Billy Corgan always gets the #01 of any limited release. He has no children, to my knowledge. I rest my case.[/quote:7vg14hku]
ha. i was thinking the same thing.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorthe fact that it’s a photocopy makes it less "rare" than i thought it was.
still a cool poster though. 1989-04-30. one of the few shows that year that we have a recording of.[/quote:1jdjk12h]
Agreed. I was gonna bid on that, as I like the poster, but I have no money these days. Oh well. Glad now that I didn’t. Had no idea it was potentially just a copy. That really sucks.
[/quote:1jdjk12h]
i think back in ’89 most of the posters for sp shows were "just copies" though. even if they weren’t. you know.the question is "when was this copy made?" i guess.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorthe fact that it’s a photocopy makes it less \"rare\" than i thought it was.

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorcool poster.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoris this about the cool poster or about v. grey?
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori do remember hearing/reading this before, so he must have mentioned it somewhere. i thought it was in the confessions, but maybe he mentioned it elsewhere.
2008.06.03 at 11:53 am in reply to: OFFICIAL Today Double A-sided PH promo 7\" TEST PRESS Thread #17103
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorwell, like you suggest, it’s done by different people.
i don’t see why that would be unlikely. i have vinyls with different inscriptions done in different handwriting. and they didn’t have previous owners.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori believe billy mentioned the d’arcy bit before, when he was writing his \"confessions\".
2008.06.03 at 8:40 am in reply to: OFFICIAL Today Double A-sided PH promo 7\" TEST PRESS Thread #17101
Cool As Ice CreamSpectator1) The test press is identical to the 7" promo. The length of the groove (song length) are identical, and the run-off groove has exact same pattern.
2) The test press has "Today" inscribed on both sides in the run-off groove, just like the 7" promo, and in the exact same handwriting.[/quote:2q6jocqw]
excellent. this is a good sign.the shoddy looking dire straits WLP indeed makes it very unlikely that someone is making his own WLPs by replacing the labels.
i find it a bit weird that someone inscribed "test pressed" on both sides though. is this common?
what makes you think the owner did this? why would he do such a thing? my (wild) guess would be that it was added at the record plant, or at the record label. you know, before it was given away to the dj.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorsending a couple of cd-rs to wherever is quite affordable. nothing we couldn’t handle.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorso you’d buy it for the \"artwork\"?
’cause if you want the music, i could burn you some cd-rs. no problem.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorhow people think home made cd-r sets can be neat is beyond me.
i don’t know. they’re just cd-rs. you can make them yourself.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorjust a homemade cd-r set. please do not pay for it.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatordammit, i didn’t know penis size mattered when choosing a car. do they measure it at the garage, in order to give you the best car advice?
2008.05.31 at 11:13 am in reply to: Complete Pinkpop 2007 performance of SP to view on da net! #17011
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorok, so the problems during for god and country were also present on the digital tv broadcast. good to know.
2008.05.31 at 12:11 am in reply to: Complete Pinkpop 2007 performance of SP to view on da net! #17007
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori saw myself during united states.
i didn’t watch the entire broadcast though, so maybe i’m in it more often. and so could you, arthur.
do you know if the spfreaks member recorded it off digital tv? or did he capture the webstream?
because apparently there were quite some problems with the webstream. and of course digital tv, even if compressed, will be higher quality than this webstream thingy.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoryes, i think i have that one.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori was also thinking bootleg.
the DDD doesn’t make any sense. (maybe they’re trying to indicate that they downloaded some mp3s off the internet and used them to make this cd?)
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori think i’m going to put my money towards some non-SP related stuff for awhile though.[/quote:3024lq8i]
i already do that, but in combination with buying sp stuff. -
