Do you ever stop?

Can’t I just skip all that and listen to In Utero?
manillascissorKeymasterno one writes/talks as cool as dazey, imo.
just love reading your phrasing. seriously.
manillascissorKeymasterthanks bullet!
manillascissorKeymasterI think freedom can produce harmony. I.E. if you have two chemicals that naturally want to be together, but you isolate them, there is this tension, or unhappiness if you will. But once the two are allowed together, you get this state of harmony, where the two chemicals are finally together, usually producing a harmonius new chemical.
Also, freedom can deny harmony. Like if a conductor just let his orchestra play whatever notes they wanted, the piece would sound like shit. But if freedom is denied, and everyone is \"forced\" to play notes together as one man/woman envisions, the end result is harmony. Pleasing to the ears.
So, those are two examples of how freedom can be both a positive and negative thing, with respect to harmony.
Now, applied to humans? I can see China’s point. The basis principle of communism: you are told what to do, for the betterment of the nation. But, China is so LARGE, they will never make everyone happy. Some people will accept their role, some will not. Some will eventually rebel.
There will always be that balance, and it only takes one or two people to start a rebellion or revolution or apocolypse. I see them as constantly revolving and evolving, never stable.
manillascissorKeymasteri saw the pics over at netphoria
basically monte sat outside while the pumpkins rehearsed songs that more than likely will appear in the august tour.
i’m not gonna ruin it for everyone, but pretty cool songs.
that thread is like 13 pages long. lots more to it than just that first thing i posted.
manillascissorKeymasterFrom MonteLDS:
Just talked to Billy Corgan 8/7 plus rehearsal songs info
——————————————————————————–
I also have seen Lisa and Ginger. It was Ginger and her new hubby
So i am here in davenport. and billy came up smiled and talked to me. he laughed about talking to me because he said anything you say to you will be in quotes
I gave him copies of my July 15th and 31st DVD. He thought the cover was really cool (good job GDS)
So he told me the following thing
The Fillmore DVD will be 3 discs and there will be a HD (blu-ray) release.
the dvd was done a few weeks ago and that the whole thing is going be very interesting.
The DVD / BLU-RAY will have the following songs from the July 31st show
The rose march, (he might of said peace and love), 99 Floors, Starla, GossamerHe talked about the release of G.L.O.W. and how it will be hard to release it on CD here in the US. But said it wasn’t set in stone that G.L.O.W. will only be an import
I then asked Davin question of what does it sound like. Billy laughed and said i’ll tell you a lie. its going be an hour long song of me whinnying about things to 1 synth.
He talked a lot about the music business and owning the rights to recordings. and how Landslide was recorded on a used tape and as long as that song makes money the BBC makes money
He wanted to record something here in the Davenport / Rock Island area but there was an issue of \"ownership\". The release was going be for free, but at 41 he won’t be able to just give ownership away. The recording place would have ownership.
Ends up Billy thinks Redding was the BEST superchrist.
He asked if i was going stick around and listen thru the cracks in the wall. I told him You know it! he laughed. And i said I got to know if you will play bullet. And he said laughing \"ya, for the 450th time\"
this is my pic of Billy
o ya he he just went to the antique store just a few mins ago
hahaha i just recalled Billy said he just bought a Dodge Charger and then once again confirmed that Linda Strawberry bf did do the editing for the DVD
i keep recalling stuff.. and yes its about the record companies
he said that the record companies are now taking money from sales @ the concerts such as t-shirts and posters.
He said they have not found a record company they have wanted to work with yet.
Jimmy just showed up! All of these guys have Blackberry Curves
Billy said that it was impossible to find glass bottle water in Iowa.
he bought a new hat. picture coming soon.
I just saw Jeff leave with billy. and now the rest of the band is taking off.
an insider told me they sound checked gossamer. the band is really happy!
more insider info: SP fans who want to hear \"Today\" are supposedly going be scared at this show
Another insider info: smashing pumpkins Pastichio Melody (listen to it, and you might hear a riff used in G.L.O.W.)
manillascissorKeymasterThink of it like this – Billy is standing in front of 1000 fans, and all the fans are quietly talking amongst themselves, whilst looking at Billy. Billy is too far away, and there are too many voices to discern an opinion. Then one fan in the middle of the crowd yells "Zeitgeist was shit!", their voice carrying out over the quiet murmurs. This is the only clear voice Billy hears.
That’s my hypothesis anyway.[/quote:122a7cxi]
Wow, that made me

manillascissorKeymasterDefine both words first before ensuing conversation, please.
manillascissorKeymasterI’m on the same level as Superlordspamulon on this matter. However, I would never criticise the personal benefits, or joy, or any other good feeling for that matter, a "believing" person says he or she’s getting from his/her beliefs. But the whole concept of religion is not very attractive to me either.
Which reminds me of a nice conversation I had in the SPfreaks chatroom with manillascissor a little while back, about "faith vs fact" or "religion vs science". Maybe he wants to copy it here, I don’t know. It was quite interesting.[/quote:1tg8su83]
Um, i was going to, but I accidentally X’d out the box. I feel like a huge TOOL. sorry arthur.

manillascissorKeymasteralso, i just realized that my clear cherub rock 7” isnt numbered. did i buy a fakie? just wondering if anyone knew if ther were any un-numbered made. doesn’t look like it.[/quote:2e3laf1p]
how does the sleeve look like? is there an empty white box where the number is supposed to be? or is it blacked out (look closely)?if it’s blacked out, maybe someone replaced the sleeve with the sleeve from the siamese singles box set.[/quote:2e3laf1p]
this is exactly it, sorry to say. i have one of these as well, sold to me as a test pressing by an extremely reputable dealer, but on this one, he was a retard.
manillascissorKeymasterSickly cheap if you ask me!! I paid even a bit more for it when I bought it new in 1996 (I Think)
Really shows how the market can value somethings different but at the same quantity
Compare with other items limited to 1000……..
I think it’s a really cool thing to have in the collection.[/quote:u8e4jli6]
Yeah i think i got a little lucky there.I´ve seen this one go for over 200 dollars
Try over $400 with the cardboard box.

manillascissorKeymasteri also think it’s better if there’s nothing written on the wlp, but it makes sense that someone has: the person who received it was most likely in the position to receive more of these. the easiest way to organize a collection of wlps is to write something on them, so you can easily see what they are.[/quote:1708589n]
Plus, back in the "day", alot of the recipients were DJs. They gotta have some was to distinguish one LP from another.
manillascissorKeymasterthe fact that he wrote on it, makes it worthless to me.[/quote:c2m6uy7b]
Most WLPs are written on.

Well well well. When i saw this treath and saw Manilla was the owner of this treath i was not expecting this,Since i know Manilla a lil bit allready i was expecting tits or almost nude girls.well well well Manilla, are you feeling ok ?
[/quote:2t4kbgs5]I’m feeling fine. I didn’t notice the semetic ranting at the end, so if that’s offensive, i apologize.
I just liked the beginning.
manillascissorKeymasterholy crap. this thread could get out of control. i’m in the middle of this conversation in email with a friend of mine.
once i respond to her, i’ll post it in here.
manillascissorKeymasterOne more question.
If we like a piece we have done can we resubmit on our 2nd or 3rd entries?
I ask because I like how I painted it and then I like how I enhanced it. I like both[/quote:oovyvq4j]I suppose, if it’s "enhanced", then technically it’s different. So, that will work.
manillascissorKeymasterWelcome mAyoe.

manillascissorKeymasterWell I think I finished my poster. Now I just got a million others to do

So it’s not a requirement to put fake dates up?
And to clarify we just are doing images/designs or you can produce the real product right?
gees so much pressure[/quote:1z05ku8l]yeah, images/designs. or you can make a real one and scan it in or send it in. we’d prefer everything to be digital, just wanted that option available.
and there is no guarantee that ANY designs will ever be reproduced in any fashion whatsoever, but the option is still there.
manillascissorKeymasteri gots another question, what should the date be on the items, just make one up?[/quote:1k7nx0wj]
November 2008
You can make it more specific if you like.
manillascissorKeymasterarthur and i will contact the PMM and get back to you on this. if they give us permission to use those logos, then it should be fine.
manillascissorKeymaster.jpg, .bmp, .pdf, .doc are all welcome. Any other extensions may prove impossible to open without standard software. Please submit accordingly.[/quote:1wt98bml]
I assume .png will be allowed. If it can be opened in MSPaint, it’s pretty much standard. Plus, it’s a lossless format.
Also, anybody using .bmp should be shot. The quality is just as good in .png and .bmp are unnecessarily huge filesizes.[/quote:1wt98bml]
yes i agree. .bmp are ridiculous.
manillascissorKeymasterhey, just wanted to see if the badges where a backstage pass or a button type thingy.[/quote:2mnis51d]
hey bullet
SPfreaks answered that a few posts up!!
manillascissorKeymastersweet!
manillascissorKeymaster
