    Hey Breun
You should post this suggestion in the Tips and Techs for SPFreaks.com. I think if you post this idea there as well, it may get more consideration? Anyway, just a thought.

I think it’s a good idea though. However, if implemented, it would take away the anonimity that currently exists on this site. The anonimity is there to protect people who would rather not be connected to the scans that they have provided, or let anyone know exactly what they may have.

I agree though, it would be cool to have a place, or a tool rather, to use to chronicle your own personal collection. I think an easy alternative would be to use Excel and just post links in there. That’s actually what I started doing. I take a release, give it a title, country, matrix codes, whatever else, and then put a link in the last column to reference it. You could even go so far as to import the images into the Excel document.

Once you have this, in order to share your personal collection with someone, you just send them an Excel file. Which is nice, because it’s not super-large.

Also, I could see some people coming on here, claiming that they have everything. What good would that do? What do you think Breun?

Good question. You know, ever since people started to pay over $200 for the original pressing, I guess it’s not surprising that someone would make bootlegs of it. I have no idea how that would happen. And it seems like it would be a rather involved process, but in the end, maybe worth it? I’m not sure. I’m actually interested in acquiring these, even if they are bootlegs. Not for $200 though. Maybe $20 at best.

slowly, slowly does this site gain popularity and recognition. but give it time, and (i’ve said it once, i’ll say it again) this site could be up there with the best of them :)[/quote:2fd0myix]

Thanks for the support Superlord. :)

I agree with what you guys said. Maybe I’ve outgrown the whole concert thing. I’m certain I still love the Pumpkins. Always have and always will. But, man, what a let-down. :(

I guess I’m getting to be an old fart. I should invest in a really nice pair of headphones and just stay home from now on!

Yeah, hard to disagree with you there. Siamese Dream is my favorite album of theirs, and I guess I understand why BC doesn’t revisit it. I mean, he was very troubled and angst-ridden during the album writing process, recording, and subsequent tour. Maybe the music brings back bad memories for him. However, out of this \"pain\", came his masterpiece, imo.

And then, when I listen to pre-Gish material, I’m completely blown away there too. This whole Bring the Light shit has got to go. I’m not feeling that. Bring the Light???? What happened?

Maybe they mistook 14a as a bonus track. If you were unfamiliar with the original tracklisting, could be an innocent mistake.

Wow, can’t believe you found that MCIS FR promo! So awesome!!! Very happy for you! Looking forward to proper scans…

Also, thanks for picking up those two items. I’ll take them off your hands (both for 80 Euro) if that’s cool. Just let me know. I suppose we could PM from here?

One more thing, thanks for showing us that eBay isn’t always where it’s at. I got an invite to a fair in S. America, but uh, kinda far away. :(

Anyway, went to ATL show on Friday. Will update in Tour Forum soon. But sadly, it was :(

    manillascissor

Actually, 10,000 pressed yes. But this one doesn’t even come with the pic sleeve. I’ve never seen one with the pic sleeve that had the jukebox tab, so my thinking is that this one is somewhat rarer: only because of the little tab. I’ll actually probably bid on it. ;)

So, ended up going for $323. Which I think may be unrealistic, due to the bid history. You should check it out. I’ve had this asshole jack up auctions I was bidding on as well. I submitted a report to eBay, as I suspect shill bidding. Anyway, here’s what they responded:

    —————————————————————————————————————————————

\"Thank you for taking the time to write to eBay’s Safe Harbor department.
Shill bidding is a serious offense and we will investigate your report as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.

We will investigate the accounts for possible shill bidding by looking at the information you have provided as well as our internal records. We will also compare this to bidding patterns and any other activity that may have occurred involving the reported accounts.

If we are able to find evidence of shill bidding, our actions can range from issuing an educational alert, a temporary suspension, or in some cases an indefinite suspension. The type of action that we take depends on the specific situation surrounding an individual account. Things such as the existence of a previous warning, the nature of the offense and the length of time as a community member will all be taken into consideration. Repeated violations of policies will often result in the suspension of a member’s account.

Sometimes, what appears to be shill bidding may actually be a legitimate bidding activity. This can occur for a number of reasons, for example, a bidder may bid almost exclusively on one or two sellers whom they have come to trust. If we find there is not enough evidence of shill bidding, we may not take action against any of the reported accounts.

We assure you that we will thoroughly examine your report. Please keep in mind that due to our privacy policy you will not receive specific details of our actions. In certain circumstances, we may contact you by email if we need further information. We pledge, though, that an eBay Safe Harbor representative will quickly review your report of shill
bidding and apply our guidelines fairly.

**Please do not respond to this email as your reply will not be received.

We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you taking a moment to express your concern to us. Thank you for helping to keep eBay a safe and reputable forum in which to conduct business.

    Regards,

    The eBay Safe Harbor Team\"
