marigoldSpectatorYou already got the Australian one?
marigoldSpectatorwow
I quite like this one, although his scream of ‘RADIOOO\" at around 5.20 is a little weak in comparison!

marigoldSpectatorI just checked the balloon site again. A whole bunch landed in the same place near Tuscaloosa.
also \"we found your balloon this evening in our pasture\"
marigoldSpectatoraww
he’s already taking after you Arthur, being cheeky, with his tongue poking out

marigoldSpectatorGo to sp.com. Didn’t we make that clear with the annoying preorder page?[/quote:115vaxop]
I barely ever go to the homepage
with the shipping costs, the Gish vinyl is $42 US…that’s about $NZ53, but in the store here they are $40!
maybe they’ll have the vinyl in time, but I would have thought they’d put it out at the same time as the CD…hmmm
marigoldSpectatorAt first I didn’t like this, with the choir, clapping, and lyrics – blechhhh – and I think it’s a piss-take because the Olympic spirit is NOT about winning:
\"I’M GONNA WINNNN….YES I’M GONNA WINNNN….\"

from about 3.50 though, HOLY CRAP MUSE ROCK ONCE AGAIN
just wish they had done that for most of the song.
marigoldSpectatorNo vinyl available in NZ yet…I’ve checked the major music stores here (there’s 2).
It’s even listed first on this site: http://www.realgroovy.co.nz/
I see Linkin Park posters everywhere but nothing for SPand yes, very well written and researched article there.
marigoldSpectator\"The band were extremely nervous\"
Their first TV appearance – not surprised!
marigoldSpectatorcool – I haven’t got the SD and Gish reissues…but I quite like the look of this one!
maybe they are making an assumption about the vinyl? hmmm
marigoldSpectatorah, I didn’t win that trip to Fuji Rock
oh well, there are rumours that he will make it to NZ this year…
he seems to keep going back and forth from London/Europe and the US for now:

marigoldSpectatorI wrote in French first, not really knowing what I was writing, turns out it almost makes sense.
Pourquoi je demande
Le ciel est bleu
Pourquoi est-ce que
Tu a rire moi?
Je ne sais de toute le monde
Mais sur tres le mot qui vas
C’est rien de plusI ask why
The sky is blue
Why is it that
You had me laughing?
I do not know any of the world
But on the very word go
This is nothing moreI don’t think Google translate got it quite right either….
marigoldSpectatorawwwwww ♥
marigoldSpectatorI like these buttons:
marigoldSpectatorI think there’s more like 200 likes now…
Well done Geo on promoting the page!If it hasn’t been thought of or designed into the new forum yet – a multiquote button would be useful!
marigoldSpectatorsomething a little bit sooner – perhaps
marigoldSpectatorwell, after many many listening i cannot help but say that OCEANIA will be better without 3 tracks i really can’t understand:
. The Chimera, good for an American Pie 14 soundtrack.
. Glissandra… it’s smell like SP old school but it is not SP. Dispensable
. Inkless, guess it is an EMI wanted to get back Hard Fans?
the rest of the Album take place in my heart because of its maturity, its sensibility and its daring innovation in Smashing Pumpkins sound.
i think there many people here that share this feeling!
let me know…[/quote:a383fwkk]no
I love the swirly guitars in Glissandra, and what has Inkless got to do with EMI..?
I think it would be better without One Diamond One Heart – too ‘pop’ for SP
also I’m now skipping listening to Wildflower – so I have my own Oceania playlist without those 2 songsnow I have to go and listen to that playlist as I haven’t listened for a whole 3 days….
marigoldSpectator^^ lucky California people
Which reminds me I have a double-album of Godspeed, You Black Emperor, and it contains 4 songs only. Each of them 20 to 25 minutes long… Hmmm… Whatever.[/quote:2c9smxvh]
I have an ‘EP’ (digital) of a band called Jakob, which is made up of one song of 29 minutes
marigoldSpectatorThen you have to remember to say ‘I couldn’t wait til your birthday to give this to you, so here’s an early birthday gift!’ when you give out those random gifts!
marigoldSpectatorIf that’s punk then so is early Deftones…
So, Arthur and Bram….what do you value?
marigoldSpectatorYes, I value punk songs for what they mostly are: wake up calls, and fun to dance to like crazy (when I was younger
).[/quote:1ezgf4wm]
yeah, a lot of them are wake up calls, I am just not a fan of the style.
I did like a couple of songs by Big Audio Dynamite but I wouldn’t really call it punk…
marigoldSpectatorwell, I guess Doomsday Clock was not promoted in NZ at all, I just remember Tarantula being the first single. The radio stations here only play 90’s SP ‘hits’ anyway…
So were both Tarantula and Doomsday Clock used as promos at the same time? And then Tarantula chosen as the single?
Would be nice to have a single released from Oceania, but yeah, it looks like they’re just having the album promoted using The Celestials.
marigoldSpectatorI have the Oceania Aus/NZ CD…
marigoldSpectatorTarantula was definitely the first song…quite a lot of promotion around it – there was a little competition where people could edit and make their own version of the Tarantula video…

marigoldSpectatorwow…very nice! A prop for the upcoming tour…Billy said Australia – that means New Zealand too right?
