i missed the two zwan ones. never thought of just searching your name.
always appreciated.
mickyshamblesSpectatorare they all mp3s, dazey?
mickyshamblesSpectatoryeah, when you transfer any tape to a wave file, you won’t remove the sound of the tape/hiss. it’s the same with the multitrack tape they use, except you don’t notice hiss very much coz the tape is so much wider. you can’t remove a generation.
that’s my crude way of explaining it.
mickyshamblesSpectatori think recording to tape and then converting to digital will still keep a lot of the analogue feel that you wouldn’t have if you recorded straight to digital.
mickyshamblesSpectatori could dig a lot of the ones reggae has posted. good man, dazey.
mickyshamblesSpectatorcan anyone else hear manillascissor driving a new gold-plated nail into the wall, ready for iha’s cd to be hung from it?
mickyshamblesSpectatorlooks like i might actually have to start uploading stuff to what then.
have you listened to all the shows you have then? any half-decent ones?
mickyshamblesSpectatorso how long after the last two will it take you to get one nice big tour torrent going?
mickyshamblesSpectatordecent set to have. soundboard recordings of the whole tour (minus one show). gotta laugh at that box though.
mickyshamblesSpectatornever seen this before. congrats. i too would be interested to hear if that mix is different to all the others.
any chance you can give the stain a quick taste and let us know what it is?
mickyshamblesSpectatorI might maybe get my hands on a Zeitgeist cd soon if my suppiler says he can get it for me, but it will cost me 250 bucks. The cd should be in mint accroding to him, not sure if it sealed or not, ill let you know Bram.[/quote:1imn7mba]
haha, you sound like a drug addict – which we all are in a way.
mickyshamblesSpectatoryou’re most welcome. even you manilla.
mickyshamblesSpectatorof course there are people who’d be interested. go for it.
mickyshamblesSpectatornot opening anything here.
(not for you anyway, notch, notch)[/quote:30jx9agc]
don’t worry, just hold it over a steaming kettle for about 15/20 minutes until it falls apart and then try using a hot-glue gun to seal it back up. it’s simple. trust me.
mickyshamblesSpectatoranyone know if it’s a finished master or not? if not, you’re gonna have to open it and rip it.
mickyshamblesSpectatori learnt both the twelve and the twenty-four hour clocks in primary school. i feel so privileged.
mickyshamblesSpectatorI don’t understand how someone who is a sound engineer for a band like the Smashing Pumpkins isn’t able to prepare a decent master.
Sector boundary errors can easily be fixed (but they can also easily be avoided), but gaps or repeated audio are a lot more work to fix. Also, it’s a shame if they would sell cds with mistakes like these.
nugs.net should request a new (flawless) master for every show with mistakes.[/quote:2rtykkmu]yeah, i hope they sort that out for the cd. i’ve ordered the first two shows and will i won’t be best pleased if they haven’t.
still, after listening to mp3s of the first two, i think that the second one is mixed better so hopefully that’s a good sign. -
