2009.06.22 at 8:48 pm in reply to: Your TOP 5 most wanted rare records (All artists/categories) #37373
mr.benwaySpectatorToday I’d have to go with:
1. Pink Floyd – P*U*L*S*E (4-LP deluxe box, the one with the blinking lights on the cover)
2. Smashing Pumpkins – I Am One (Limited Potential 7")
3. Black Sabbath – Master Of Reality (Original 1971 LP, Vertigo Swirl)
4. Alice In Chains – Unplugged (2-LP)
5. Pat Smear – Ruthensmear (1988 cd, SST Records)*But then again, it changes all the time.
And yours might be?[/quote:2uqu3zsq]
Nice list…
ahhh, pat smear & sst records… those were the days… phantastic label with some interesting guitar music… my first steps into indie-land…Though question….
1. Nirvana – Love Buzz (Sub Pop) (unfortunately a little pricey)
2. Soundgarden – Louder Than Live (LP and/or CD)
3. – x. some more Sub Pop stuff from the early days (catalog numbers – 99)
4. Smashing Pumpkins – Mellon Collie (French Promo)
5. Smashing Pumpkins – La Saga (French Promo)not necessarily in this order

mr.benwaySpectatori picked this very rare and beautiful set up today.

mr.benwaySpectatorHi Arthur,
have you heard anything about these McClusky-guys?[/quote:oc05ac69]
No, nothing. Yesterday I send my third email to them, now to 3 new persons…
[/quote:oc05ac69]
Hope we get some information about the release & the connection to the Smashing Pumpkins. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. And two new (old) posters arrived:
%5CUS%5CPoster%2019961001%20Bradley%20Center%20Milwaukeea.jpg)
mr.benwaySpectatori gave it yesterday a quick listen: overall sound quality is ok.
the original vinyl sounds a little bit clearer and you can hear some more details. perhaps the bootleg is cd-sourced? the bootleg-vinyl sounds more like the machina-cd. (but i don’t have hifi-experts-ears
)
mr.benwaySpectatorfucking amazing.[/quote:1nw8p5fl]
yeah, that’s really fucking amazing…phantastic research sven…
and i’m curious what’s next…
mr.benwaySpectatorI had never heard of Jeff McClusky & Associates so far, but they do exist. They are even based in Chicago! I have send them an email asking for more info about this and possible other Smashing Pumpkins releases. Keep you posted!

ohh no, wait… the tour itineraries (band&crew books) contains information about the tour personnel (band&crew), the tour schedule (in the itinerary above: from November 7th – December 3rd 2000). For every day of the tour there is a page with informations about the band & crew hotels, informations about the venue (like capacity, soundchelck, doors, curfew) and travel-times…these books really give some feeling for life on the road…
here you find some detail-scans for this tour itinerary: http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=2534
