Uhmmm… nope. No wristband. Only when it contains a kiss of Ginger, or a signature of Billy (you were at the barrier, right? Must have been easy job to get that)

How did you get so close anyway? I went to Pinkpop in May with my girlfriend, and we thought we were lucky already when we were like 5th – 8th row somewhere… Good job![/quote:1w80g2gz] *sigh*… a kiss from ginger *looks dreamy*… *ahem*
anyways. yeah i got to the barrier by going into the mainstage crowd some 5 bands before smashing pumpkins, and just got closer and closer, and then when i was just behind some guys who were at the barrier they let me in – they were the nicest blokes :) i ended up at the barrier for half of lostprophets, NIN and of course, pumpkins :D (all in all i was waiting and standing for like 7 hours to get that position. my legs are still screwed up, even now!)
and btw… it’s like 15 feet away from the stage. it’s really quite a distance!
i believe there was a signing tent, and the only time i would have gone was during fallout boy (who i hate) but if i left, i would never have been able to get to the front :( i didnt even know if pumpkins were signing… so yeah. at the barrier for my first pumpkins gig :)

What kind of music is Emperor and Cradle of Filth? Death metal? Never heard of those two.

And what is MCIS? [/quote:18ml56y6] satanic black metal!
well emperor is… cradle of filth have an extremely tongue in cheek attitiude to it (asked in an interview with fans how vocalist Dani Filth trains his voice, he replied "continuous masturbation. i’m masturbating right now. this is a polystyrene arm" )

Superlordspamulon, just great man! Thanks for posting your experiences here! Did you check already if your tickets or other merchandise/clothing is already on this site? Oops, sorry, it’s on it’s way I see in your first post now, thanks! And also thanks for your other mail, I just read it. It will be on this site soon indeed… :D[/quote:2mipq6gn] one of the t-shirts is already on here (the zero one, and you marked it as WO so there really is no need to post mine) but i’ll e-mail the other one shortly :)
also, they take your ticket off you upon entry and you get a wristband instead. there was no mention of smashing pumpkins on either, but if you want a pic of the wristband i’ll happily oblige :)

The person who runs the site said this:

Last word gotten from a source close to D’arcy is that she’s living in her farm in Michigan with her boyfriend and his son. So it seems she’s got her stuff back together and is enjoying a quiet life away from the spotlight. This is what I’ve gotten from a source on D’arcy. How true it is,I don’t know. But it seem to be reliable source here, it has always been for me,So.
Here’s a recent image someone was able to pass along:

    o_O
thats d’arcy? huh… looks kinda like her… yet not? hah if i could see her hair i’d be able to tell

    SP – MCIS
    SP – Adore
My Chemical Romance – I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love (this was back when they were still an unknown, underground band – this record is dark and oh-so good)
Emperor – in the nightside eclipse
Emperor – Prometheus: the discipline of fire and demise
Cradle of Filth – Vempire (or dark faerytales in phallustein)

plus some of the ones you mentioned
    thats my list :)

Awesome!! Glad you got to see them. Aren’t you going again on the 7th? I remember that from some other post of yours i think.

I’m going on Halloween…so awesome. I hope maybe the band dresses up or at least the audience. Should be spectacular. Thanks for sharing, I’ll have to post a review after mine as well.

You also reminded me, I need to set aside some money for a shirt! How much were they?[/quote:3n9mzpvt] no im not going on the 7th… mainly because there aren’t any more england-based dates announced
and yeah – if it’s a halloween show there should be SOME dressing up! so yes. go dress up for it. ooh! maybe you could do the totally unque, original costume idea and go as a smashed pumpkin! no-one else will possibly think of it!

by the way the t-shirts were £18 each, which is about US$36… but 1) i reckon it’ll be less than that for you and 2) this was at a festival where a 500ml bottle of water was £2

hmm… same. i’d like to know where she’s gotten to too. but, y’know, following a bands break up at least one of the members seems to go missing (RATM had Zack de la rocha [sp?] go missing)
so yeah – im sure she’ll show up eventually

another thing – they played a veeeeeery strange, almost funky version of HMM
as well as this quote *roughly by the way* (a girl flashes her boob) billy: \"there’s something about the british girl [long pause] so willing to get her top off! [smiles, crowd cheers] ah come on… we all know american girls are sluts too! [crowd cheers again!] It’s great being alternative, you get away with saying this kinda stuff!\"
excellent moment. hoping it gets on youtube!

Cleveland Smashing Pumpkins Fans state "Sad, really. While it might strike some as funny, in reality it isn’t. Every famous person has that one fan or two who crosses the line, and Billy isn’t exempt from this. Let’s hope this person gets the help she obviously needs."

And I can only agree with that…[/quote:1ds0o6vt] okaaaaay then… *edges away sloooowly*
there are some very strange people out there

Thanks, it’s really appreciated! Just see what you guys can do on that part, we could divide tasks for example. 1 of you (Superlordspamulon?) is only doing the newest uploads on Archive.org of the 2007 tour, I will do 1990 – 1996 (1988-1990 is already done by me, all of 2007 also, working on "Smashing Pumpkins Live at Théâtre de Plein Air on 2007-08-19 (August 19, 2007)" now as we speak) and somebody else (BleedingTheOrchid?) will do 1997-2000? Of course I’m not asking you to send me emails every day, but just the tracklengths of all songs of a live concert every now and then would be pretty nice already. Deal?[/quote:3hjxikba]i’ll try, i’ll do what i can and when i can :)

But I was here for Superlordspamulon actually. Can I ask you a favor Superlordspamulon, since you seem to like live music? It would be helpful to SPfreaks when after you download a complete show, check on Tour & Recording History if it’s there and then: could you take notes of how long each track is (NOT the MP3 length, as it contains stage banter etc! but the actual song from startnote till endnote) and email it to us on @spfreaks.com">spf-contact@spfreaks.com? I will upload that info on there, but you will get the credits for the job of course. Same question to BleedingTheOrchid and others. Really, it would be very helpful I noticed this weekend working on it. My smiley for that job I did would be  !!![/quote:3kktz9z8] hah i’ll try :)

haha dont worry – just dont let her catch you [/quote:3810jj6f]
no way! seriously, this spfreaks site makes collecting a cool thing for old rockers like me and i wanna show off i’m a cool collector (huhum, yeah right) so that’s why i’m curious about it[/quote:3810jj6f] haha fair enough :) (by the way, if you’re gonna call yourself ;cool’ you gotta use the sunglasses 8) )

    i dont think it’s out yet [/quote:1sdbfz93]
that’s for sure superlord but i bought this new zero shirt and when this spfreaks shirt is cool i want it also. (don’t let the wife read this haha)[/quote:1sdbfz93] haha dont worry – just dont let her catch you

hey another tease of this shirt, i asked superlord to send in pics, what do you know about this shirt mate? is it cool? what color is it? is it printed with something?[/quote:26m4g851] i dont think it’s out yet

Ill have a SPFREAKS shirt on incase its being recorded for the DVD.[/quote:32nsuhd7] that. is. AWESOME! you are so lucky to get those kind of seats! who did you have to kill?

in reply to: Machina II #2858

i like having live songs, and if i could have an entire show that would be great![/quote:cmlqhgrg]

do i have news for you superlord mate! go here, over 160 (and counting by the week) pumpkins live shows from 1988 – present, in flac, ogg, 2 types of mp3, stream… start drooling mate! and never bug toad32r anymore :P no seriously that website is cool everybody should go there[/quote:cmlqhgrg] go where… there’s no link!

The Fox Theatre has contacted me saying that they have recieved word that audio recording is OK, they are still waiting for the video part to be allowed. Also, Ticketmaster is going to be contacted to post a statement in regards to the recording at SP shows as well.[/quote:guj8xszd] if you do audio record it, would it be possible if you split it up (into each song) put them in a .zip folder, and then upload it to megauploads/sendspace/yousendit please? i like having live songs, and if i could have an entire show that would be great! if, however, you dont reckon the quality is good at all… then dont worry about it. i dont want them to be unlistenable

in reply to: Machina II #2855

i think the album as a whole is really good… but i really like real love, home, let me give the world to you, and go. i think those are just some nice mellow-ish songs on there
