SuperlordspamulonSpectatorFlaws? What do you mean?[/quote:2alokcf4]
Too many patients, not enough beds is the most common complaint I hear from my mum. Also, wards closing/moving/etc. and all that.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorI dislike my knack for having a somewhat large vocabulary, and being able to use the words correctly and understanding their context, but not being able to define ANYTHING. I really struggle, despite being able to use the words…
SuperlordspamulonSpectatornow i’m applying for NHS jobs in UK[/quote:1fb847tj]
My mum is a nurse for the NHS.She enjoys it, but it has a lot of flaws. Particularly if you work in a hospital, like she does.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatori find it hard to believe that someone has never been in one.[/quote:2h41ujjd]
I’ve been in one, but I’ve never bought anything from it.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorIf my new band was to release anything in the future we sure would do everything by ourselves.[/quote:2iur10vk]
Don’t rule out labels completely – there are plenty of minor record labels that DON’T fuck over the band/fans, and give you a great platform to release music from.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorSaw a red dwarf complete box set recently too……hmm[/quote:3vxovfk0]
What, and you didn’t buy it? You complete and utter smeghead!
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorOkay, a couple of bands I’ve listened today that are really very good.
First off, Hum. They make quite wonderful music – it sort of approaches rock music, but doesn’t quote reach it, in a good way. If I remember
Go listen to their album ‘You’d Prefer An Astronaut’
Secondly, Album Leaf. They’re kind of a cross between Sigur Ros and some awesome poppy electronic stuff thrown in as well. As well as a little bit of weirdness. Go listen to ‘In A Safe Place’ like, now! There are some good seeders there, I started it this afternoon, finished it within a couple of hours!
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorHey guys – a little advice for searching for stuff to download on the tubes.
On google, search [album title] site:blogspot[dot]com
Sometimes add the band’s name as well, if the album name is too vague.
You can try other sites as well, but the sheer number of music sharing blogs is ridiculous – I’ve managed to find a good number of rare albums that way. But it’s not guaranteed, by the way.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorAh, Bangkok. That makes sense.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorD:
The London Astoria is being closed down!
That place was a legendary venue, and it’s being demolished to build another fucking underground station.
Fuck, my first gig was there!
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorok so if I come across the save link as.. where does the link go for me to grab the music? Or am I just saving it to my pc and not my itunes. Can I get it to itunes. Oh this becomes rather tedious sometimes..until ya know how to do it
[/quote:14q37h4v]
It saves it to your computer. And stuff on your iTunes is already in your computer, just under a specific folder.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorYou could always use it as an interesting plate?[/quote:2hlah7t7]
very true. or coaster.[/quote:2hlah7t7]
CDs are ideal coasters. 12" vinyls are far too big to be a coaster, unfortunately.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorthat site never works for me with downloading any of it. I don’t have the save target option. It always pulls up quicktime player for me and nowhere on right click to save
IT SUCKS!!!
But I am ever grateful to Dazey for some Smashing tunes and a few others
THANKS GUYS[/quote:2xwrkoxs]What browser are you using? It could be ‘save link as…’ ‘save target as…’ ‘save as…’ or whatever. You should have the option there no matter which browser!

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorYou could always use it as an interesting plate?
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorMy work computer won’t let me access that website, and this is the computer that has all my music. Sorry man.[/quote:3ezf53sf]
Ah, fair enough.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorIts a free instant messenger.
http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/s … wnloading/
It sends files really fast.
And if you are at work like me, it’ll work and I have a watchdog type thing.[/quote:37er1q86]
Don’t bother with that – just upload the files (in a handy .zip folder) onto something like mediafire.com, and then post the download link. Saves a lot of hassle on everyone’s part.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorhaha, you’re absolutely right… but the "dark side" is so stroooong
[/quote:3msso3za]
What dark side? The ‘MSN’ program it installs is utterly pointless. That shortcut is actually just a wast of space, as is what it links to.
SuperlordspamulonSpectator@manilla: you should clean up your desktop
[/quote:1k04wsz3]
So should you! I mean, who uses the MSN installer?
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorI get the feeling that the Aphex Twin CDs I ordered just now are going to arrive before the Aphex Twin torrent I’m downloading finishes…
SuperlordspamulonSpectatordiscogs.com is pretty good – allows you to check the discographies of loads of bands, but they aren’t necessarily extensive, unfortunately.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorThis Will Destroy You – Young Mountain
It (finally) arrived in the post today. It’s fucking awesome.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorhere’s a dumb question..How do you take a picture of your desktop? what button do I push? I’m on a windows vista if that matters
Thanks[/quote:hbfks6dw]"Print Screen"
Usually located above "Insert"
Once print screened, go to image editing application of your choice (MSpaint is all you really need for this) and press Ctrl+V. Then save.
SuperlordspamulonSpectator30 euros?!
That’s worth 600 in my currency.[/quote:32ws7019]
Pounds, not euros.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorWhy do rare CDs cost so much, even when no-one’s heard of the band
Case in point – City Of Caterpillar’s debut/only album can be bought on amazon for £30+
It’s only 7 tracks as well…
