I think we are not talking about the same person here. Ed, as I know him, has been very helpful quite a few times with Taiwanese translations, and pointing out boots where we thought it are genuine releases. And I bought quite a few TW releases from him. They are always well packed, with tons of friendly communication in the meantime.

Or this is another silly manilla joke, I bet. :P

Found a new Taiwanese promo compilation with The Celestials, not on SPfreaks yet. :D

Cool find! And indeed, that is an unknown type, so far. Would you be so kind to send in scans after you received it? Thanks, man!

I only have to go back to the HMH Amsterdam gig of November 8, 2011 to know this band fucking rocks. It was without any doubt the best concert of Smashing Pumpkins I have seen in my whole life (and I have seen a few). And I’m looking forward to the Dutch July 2013 concerts I’m going to attend.

I don’t judge the band (or any band) by its’ commercial success, or its’ relevance in the current time frame. It might be nice for a discussion with a beer or two to talk about these subjects, but it’s not really interesting on the long run. For several reasons I’m very attached to this band, as I was to the ‘old’ band. Mainly I’m very glad Billy Corgan is around to entertain us with his art. And that’s about it, I guess. :)

Limited edition, minus one. I wonder how the Instrumental Mix sounds now.

Seriously, that pic made me lol and omfg at the same time. Sorry to see this, Spag.

I’ve finally got this (EU release) now, but couldn’t find it on the database – or I’m looking in the wrong place?[/quote:2h2mwubd]
You’re right, it is not there yet. So far no pics of the EU release have been provided. Lots own the US release I’m sure, including the undersigned. :)

    Very disappointing.[/quote:ee0thz8w]
Yeah, absolutely. My doubts started with the j-card however. It looks like it was recently printed at a print shop. But after I zoomed in on the handwriting, I exploded. The sticker hasn’t even aged! This seller should be reported to eBay.

It is my firm believe that it is fake, Woody. I think you can trust your initial guts feelings. Next to that, check the feedback of this seller… He is known for selling fake tapes. I discussed this Moon tape auction with a few friends outside this forum, and I send them this pic. SPfreaks tape on top, eBay tape bottom. Judge for yourself…

I’m glad we found out though.

In the end, it’s just another silly mistake. Like "We Only Come At Night", earlier in the book.[/quote:z8988ggg]
That’s the BC joke of this reissue I presume. :)

    Where the sticker says:

the smashing pumpkins – billy corgan – james iha –
    d’arcy – jimmy chamberlin[/quote:1z3x6edf]
    the original page has:

the smashing pumpkins – billy corgan – james iha –
    jimmy chamberlin[/quote:1z3x6edf]
    D’arcy fell off![/quote:1z3x6edf]
Well, yeah, that’s not funny indeed.

in the end there is always a human being in control of the fucking up.[/quote:3sdibeij]

i think a human may start the process. <edit> but after that, a computer is operating independent of human control.[/quote:3sdibeij]
Can the almighty God create a rock that he/she cannot lift? Yes. Uhm, no. God is not almighty, we can conclude, at least.

Can the almighty human being create a computer that can operate independant of human control? Yes. Uhm, maybe not, after all. There is always a human being in the background that controlled something. The computer has to be designed, it has to be build, it has to programmed, it needs energy to operate. So many switches here that are controlled but by the computer itself. Human being is not almighty either, and computers will not take over the world. :)

Exactly. In my humble opinion, the ‘conclusions’ of this study wouldn’t even change, if this delay was taken away. The ‘conclusions’ will only appear sooner. Or they will change faster, since in evolution no conclusion stands long.

how would a computer get fucked up? is that possible? would their buzz die off and then they would crave more? they already get viruses and sick, just like humans, why not get fucked up too?[/quote:37udnp11]
Humans have a free will (or as some would say, can make a choice) to get fucked up, computers don’t. In the case of computers, it are always humans that fuck them up. Always. Or let’s put it like this; in the end there is always a human being in control of the fucking up.

I had no idea they existed at all (SPfreaks doesn’t mention them), but I just bought:

    Gish – Mexican pressing
    Siamese Dream – Mexican pressing[/quote:u446n76n]
Good seller. He contacted me that these 2 CDs are not Mexican pressings after all, and if I wanted, I could cancel the order.

    Which I did.

To me it looks on top: pink (left) and peach (right), and on the bottom: orange (left) and purple (right).

Is any of the vinyl owners here willing to scan his pink Siamese Dream vinyl for this page? Thanks!

\"Not shown here (yet) is the pink version. Hopefully we will get those scans soon.\"

Missed out on that EU copy of the celstials, cant believe it went for £105![/quote:34qx4ycl]
Can’t believe it too. I’m happy to have found that EU/NL promo already outside eBay (for 1/3 of that price, which seems OK to me) but I’m still looking for the US Panopticon promo. I refuse to pay more than $100.00 for Panopticon, but so far they all go beyond my limits. What is it with the Oceania promos? :?[/quote:34qx4ycl]

I really want Panopticon too, any Celestials promo will do me.

I guess people are panic buying them due to not knowing how rare they are. Im sure a good few more of each will pop up sooner or later[/quote:34qx4ycl]
I’m with you. Patiently waiting for our chances. :)

I bet you went there, Spag?[/quote:1xfzdcn4]

Yep, I did. I am quite happy with this one. The guy who sold it to me said he was thinking of throwing it in the garbage until he realised maybe someone was willing to him a few euros for it.[/quote:1xfzdcn4]
Lucky you! I was at that concert too. Balcony on the right side, if I remember well. The sound wasn’t too good, that’s what I do remember though.

I have that ResistancePro cd. Not sure what Billy did with Sstaria (write songs? production?) but if this is an indication where the Pumpkins are heading, we are in for another surprise. After a few listens to the whole album, I started to like it. It’s ‘cruel’ techno rock. Song 7 makes my car resonate, and so far no other cd managed to do that lol.
