manillascissor, I guess the difference is why we never heard something so far, is that Sven already applied in time (and re-applied together with us 2). You and I were asked in person to apply because we are running SPfreaks.com. That was about a month after the deadline. I presume we will get a \"Thank You, but you’re not the ones\" seperately a bit later.

It’s not the most pro job application procedure I have ever been in, not the worst either. The real life job I’m doing now for almost 10 years, it took them 3-4 months before they even replied anything. And I just love my job now, with pretty nice colleagues and challenging projects to do.

    Nice new avatar. ;)[/quote:1p2vsm99]
Thanks. I presume we 2 didn’t make it manillascissor, let’s be honest. I’m not sad nor mad about it personally, like bullet. Too much other fun things to do, to even be bothered about it more than a few seconds. Though I can understand your frustration bullet, when writing is a big hobby of yours.

But I had always wished 1 of us SPfreaks webmasters or teammembers would make it, and there’s 1 of us still in the race, at least. I’m happy. He’s a great (professional) writer and already wrote tons of essays about the Smashing Pumpkins.

News: at least 1 SPfreaks member got confirmation he is in the next round. He has to write another essay within 48 hours. Just to be sure I asked their Media Dept. why 2 of us didn’t get any email.

Could it mean that we are in the top 5 already without having to do anything?

Oh well, thanks! I mean I had written it very last minute, as officially I was too late. But PMM wanted to have mine in anyway. English is not my first language either, so you never know what they are looking for in another country. Some friends liked my essay also, but yeah… they are being polite I guess.

But I would be very proud to be on their list, lemme tell you. And that’s an understatement. Still I think that announcement on sp.com says that everybody should be getting an email? Really , I got nothing yet.

I think it’s too early to be excited about that signal, of getting nothing.

We suddenly get like 150+ different visitors from this place in just a few hours. It helps to publish about this fake vinyl I guess.

Let’s keep this work up! 8)

no, it is just a catchy name.[/quote:g1mhjfnp]
I was hoping so. I made it up in 2003 myself to be honest, and looking at all those wellknown names in those days (Blamo, Netphoria, SPFC, Starla, SPLRA) I was like uhmmm… kinda official. Not catchy.

Then, there was Siamese Dream (my favourite album), first song Cherub Rock. Look at the very first lines:

    Freak out
    And give in
Doesn’t matter what you believe in
    Stay cool
And be somebody’s fool this year

There you go. SPfreaks was born. At that time dot com was not for sale (some people called SpeedFreaks had it I believe), so we were on Darktech.org for a while, later on Redwolf.org if I’m right. Last year SPfreaks.com became available, and that’s too cool to miss. Glad you like the name, it has a whole history. 8)

(and this is post #1000. cool.)

And a bit too small. Few more members, up to 250-500 would be nice. Maybe the name "freaks" scares everybody away? How did you get here anyway, and what did you think/expect when you opened an account here? Just curious. Same for blueczarina.

Let me tell you guys a little secret.

A few months back I was emailing a bit with sp.com people. This is what they said at that time. I presume for 99.9% they do know us. "The band definitely wants to collaborate with our sister sites more. You guys have one of the best!" 8)

Shhhh, as I can’t tell anything more now, please understand. Nice things coming this year, I’m pretty sure.

I hate posters that look at you when you walk by. It freaks me out and makes me feel like I’m being watched.[/quote:4zey543s]
It may sound odd to you maybe, but I kinda like that feeling. Well, let me try to get deep here, inside this strange personality called Arthur. Old feelings, Young mind, Body inbetween. I need to be tickled and freaked, I need new challenges almost weekly or monthly to get me going. I do projects at my job, they contain so much challenges and different aspects (writing, research, interviews, building software prototypes, give workshops & trainings, etc, etc) that I have every day a reason to step out of bed and go out doing things, whistling a tune. Creepy elements are a part of my life, to stick my middlefinger out to, to fight, to stand above, or to mourn about. Yin and Yang, somehow, I don’t know. I don’t know either if I make sense here. I tried to be serious about this subject anyway.

I do not agree with you Superlordspamulon, but my problem is maybe that English is not my first language. So I imagine a lot in my mind to make English stories lively, as I cannot read between the lines all the times. You can I guess, and notice other things than I would.

This first piece of bullet made my mind wonder, it tickled my fantasy to create the surroundings like a movie in my head, and that’s positive, at least to me. But you read it with English as your first language, so probably both our judgements couldn’t be compared and are both true in it’s own sense.

    Do I make sense?

Here they are, all Thailand cassettes. Except for Adore, all fresh uploads.

    Set country to \"TH – Thailand\" and click button \"Apply Filter\".

I was kinda surprised by the uncommon Thai artwork for Siamese Dream.
