ArthurSpectatorNot cool, unless he starts releasing it
ArthurSpectatorMwoah, no fail at all, I think. There will be lots of bids I’m quite sure.
But I don’t want it either, to be honest!
ArthurSpectatorfound a zwan/mary star of the sea us promo acetate cd. surprised this isn’t on the site yet. ???[/quote:1sg2mnao]
Zwan is not the main focus on this Smashing Pumpkins site, but our webmasters are happy to upload it!
ArthurSpectatorFew little updates.
http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=2346 5 Song Snippet Sampler (updated with better pics)
http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=3360 No Alternative (new type, very different release code)
ArthurSpectatorHahaha, you’re sharp! No, it landed on Friday, but we were not home so they gave the box to our neighbours instead, and the mailman left a note in our mailbox about that. But on Friday night and almost the whole of Saturday our neighbours were not at home also. I checked a few times. But last night at around 22:00 the lady of the house finally came to our door to deliver it. That’s why I post about it on a Sunday morning…
By the way, did you throw in those yellow USPS cards \"Authorization to Hold Mail\"? I thought it was a splendid ironical joke!
ArthurSpectatorEagle has landed.
To see that Adore 5 song snippet promo for real is awesome, same for the Japanese Adore cd in the promo canvas bag…
ArthurSpectatorYeah, I know that one, but had not looked at it for a long time. Cool, brings back some memories why we started this website… Because others were either not complete, nor detailed enough. I stil have that very first email of Thomas Jones from the UK, dated October 2002… lol!
Did you by accident came across Derek his old website too? Pumpkinography.com or something?
ArthurSpectatori would bid, just to be a part of history. i wouldn’t win though.
[/quote:2xcjc9l1]
Same here, not when it is Machina II though, but when it is an original set of Mashed Potatoes…
ArthurSpectatorshipping was quite high (more than $15 – wtf?), so i didn’t bid very high…[/quote:lwer05ob]
I command you to feel sorry now.It went for super duper cheap after all, it is quite rare, and it contains 6 cds in a rather big & nice plastic fold out sleeve. It’s not your average cd in a jewelbox that is shipped for 6 dollar, you know… You were too stingy, and missed out on a nice item. Just my humble opinion.
ArthurSpectatorI have a guts feeling that it is genuine, but I’m no expert!
ArthurSpectatorThat’s heel erg lekker ja!
ArthurSpectatorBoth items (Singles CD NL & MCIS cassette ZA) are not in our database, I hope you guys can send in scans someday?
ArthurSpectator\"In 2010, the Pumpkins performed three runs of dates in the U.S. plus shows in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and South America. Asked about the band’s touring plans for 2011, CORGAN says: \"We had no plans of going on the road this year, but now we may go to Europe in the fall, and if that happens, we’ll play a few select dates in America.\"\"
If they visit Holland, Belgium, Denmark or Germany (West-side, hopefully), I will definately go see them. I might even consider London… depending the incoming cashflow at that moment.
ArthurSpectatorToo bad that Jeff, Mike & Nicole aren’t as talented as Papa M, Sweeney & Jimmy.

I know what you mean. I do like the current setup and its’ long term potential (and most of their Teargarden songs), but Zwan could have created Siamese Dream II. True, they didn’t, because they broke up rather quickly, so we will never know. But for the moment, I don’t see that happen either with Smashing Pumpkins Mark IV or V yet, whatever Nicole says on her blog. But I love to be surprised someday…@Honeymade Opiate: thnx.
But I know kylie beats me hands down. So I humbly bow my head to that at the same time.
ArthurSpectatorFound it.
\"Both songs feature contributions from everyone in the band, the first time that’s happened for me since 2003!\"
ArthurSpectatorReally not bad, kinda catchy. But who is doing the backing vocals?
ArthurSpectatorWe have them in the SPfreaks.com database already, without matrix codes indeed.

ArthurSpectatorIndeed.
ArthurSpectatorI thought it was online already, but not… duhhh! Sorry to the collectors here, but finally… here is…

(on a sidenote, check out http://www.erikarecords.com/ for some insight information how much it costed Smashing Pumpkins to have this record pressed… I was kinda stunned how cheap it is, actually!
ArthurSpectatorNot me either.

ArthurSpectatorFor who is still looking for this kinda rare promo:
ArthurSpectatorI remember seeing them live in the 1980’s, and I was blown away. When Urban Dance Squad played on the same bill, they inspired Rage Against The Machine to do what made them famous later in the 1990’s… RATM had the courtesy to admit this.
This song I like very much too.

ArthurSpectatorIt might be the Candy Strip Experience version anyway.[/quote:zw54fro4]
It is.When I look closely to that little pic of the promo, it says something like Recorded & Mixed Live in Paris 10.06.94. Songs from the same gig were put on the Candy Strip Experience single. Na ja… but it’s still a nice find, this rare French promo.
ArthurSpectatorHaha, thanks Sauli, for your research! You’re cool!
But yeah, you’re right, the song is available indeed (I have those 2 releases you linked in my UDS collection), but I should have said \"is not available on any other release in this live version\". Before I bought this funny promo, I even noticed that Discogs doesn’t even mention this promo… So I was a bit like… hmmm, I don’t know… But it seems to be a very rare, but genuine Virgin France release. And it seems to contain a never released live version of Boyz in bandz (and Demagogue, but that song is widely available, it was 1 of their hit singles). I’ll check it out when I receive it. It might be the Candy Strip Experience version anyway.
Anyway, thanks again Sauli! You’re quite the researcher!
