When Billy said he wanted his Pumpkins back and his songs back, he meant it. T his is for keeps. As he says (to Jimmy?) in Tarantula, "Don’t Break This Oath"

This is for keeps, and is the rebirth. In the deluxe album (not sure of the standard) there is a picture of the funeral of the old Pumpkins. Long live the new. Under the new Pumpkins no one will be able to break it up unless Jimmy quits or falls off the wagon or whatever. If Ginger or Jeff quit, Billy will find new band mates. And so on.[/quote:btfm6lo7]

you know what captjack, i agree with you. very much actually. i also do believe billy is a sincere, genuine and honest person when he talks about his dreams. he has this bond with jimmy, and they are a great team. all other musicians, how cool and great they might be, are probably only enjoying themselves and being uplifted in the shade of this extremely creative guy called billy. which is still a great gift when you think of it. and it works like that in many other bands also. muse, rolling stones, elvis presley, to name a few. we shouldn’t care so much about it and just enjoy what billy and co bring us, judge that from song to song, and pick our favourites. james iha in the track? you like the track or you don’t. james iha not in it? you like the track or you don’t. it doesn’t ruin the pumpkins concept, just my humble opinion.

    Hey Orchid
I have that promotional single you’re referencing… Because Virgin made a promotional CD for it, I’d consider it an actual release. Isn’t there a date on the CD promo? Like a release date? Anyway, I’ve also seen on eBay posters for it. Virgin promotional posters. So, yes, I consider it an official release, although, it’s digital. Makes you wonder how do you buy a legitimate copy?[/quote:hnkp9x6k]
cool manilla! kinda rare promo i guess? and i think it’s a genuine release also, but why isn’t it on the discography? i mean, even spfreaks doesnt have it (while spfc has it if i’m right), and the pumpkins dont have it either on their website?

here is the cheapest download i found, in holland: http://shop.spitsnet.nl/web/show/id=582 … id=1166024 check it out! it’s so weird to see the 114 tracks for 11.99 euro and then 1.29 euro per track???? huh???? who has found the most expensive download by the way?

    b-sides and rarities?
i believe that may be an official release…
i think the one you are referring to is the download only version? with over a hundred songs on it?
even if it’s not official (which i believe it is, as i think its on itunes) it’s bloody good value! it’s nwar comprehensive on nearly all pumpkins b-sides rarities![/quote:3ey0opbn]
yup, it’s download only i think. but i see it nowhere on the discography, that’s what makes me wonder…

in reply to: Not sure… just want to know what you think… #2161

Really, who will find out anyway? The music police don’t have time to search all our music collections for pirated copies of songs. I think you’ll be fine.[/quote:3bt0dxvg]
yeah you’re probably right. you know i download quite some live stuffs of sp but no commercial songs you know. i dont care because its all on live music archive website anyway.
