I have had a bad experience with family vs Pumpkins. At my wedding our master of ceremonies took it upon himself to go through my music and he took out anything that he didn’t approve us as wholesome music. Since Billy dresses weird… all of a sudden the music isn’t \"good enough\" HAHAHA. I knew that he didn’t like Smashing Pumpkins ahead of time, so when I made my list I even wrote \"SP\" instead of Smashing Pumpkins, hoping that he wouldn’t notice. But he did, so SP got wiped from my wedding list. I didn’t go against him because he was my husband’s uncle, but I was pissed. The other reason I didn’t fight it… is because I didn’t know any of this happened until the day of the wedding and I asked why a song wasn’t playing and my DJ showed me all the X’s on my list. My MC didn’t even run the changes by ME, he just handed them straight to the DJ who figured that I must have approved it.

We were supposed to cut the cake to \"Today\" and instead we had to replace it at the last second. He questioned the lyric \"pink ribbon scars that never forget\" (that sounds like a cutter! It must be evil!) I let my DJ (who was one of my best friends) pick a song and his favorite artist is Janet Jackson… so we cut the cake to some lame JJ song. *rolls eyes* (Our MC also cut out Evanescence just because he said she dressed like Marylin Manson) I think the \"normal\" people are more strange than the people who dress freaky. Now every time I go visit them I want to wear my ZERO shirt so badly just for revenge. But I don’t. It’s been 5 years and it still hurts.

But with my mom… she’s kind of new to computers and the internet… so I make you YouTube everything. She asks me all sorts of SP questions because she knows how much they mean to me. She never makes fun. The only thing that I heard her say before she knew how much I love them is, \"his voice is kind of whiny don’t you think?\" I just smiled and said, \"I think it’s hot.\" I brought up that conversation recently with her… and she doesn’t even remember saying it. People can be \"mean\" without even knowing it. They don’t really mean it.

I’m always burning SP mixes for people. They’ll say, \"I only know a couple songs\" or \"yeah, 1979 is good, but that’s all I know\"

I don’t mind sharing. And I don’t mind if they don’t like it. My friends just know I have different musical tastes than them, and they appreciate me for it. I don’t care if they don’t get it or don’t like it, or make fun of it. It doesn’t change my love or opinion and it never will.

My favorite person to share it with is my husband. I love going for a car ride, and listening to the pumpkins. He’ll talk me through lyrics that I can’t make out. He knows guitar, so he’ll tell me all sorts of facts about how the song is played.

Seriously, sharing the SP with him brings us so close together. The night we went to the concert has been the happiest that we’ve been together in a long time. It was definitely the best day of my life after my wedding. Not just because I was in the front seeing Billy up close and personal. Not just because I had their music coursing through my veins live. But because I was sharing that experience with the one person in the world I truly love, and he was sharing it with me.

I can see. I nearly cried this past month going through people’s collection photos. I feel like a sucky fan. My parents were a little weird though, they never wanted me to have band posters on my wall, and they didn’t let me go to concerts until I turned 18… so I kind of started late and got side tracked with so many other things in life. I feel like I’m starting over these past few months… but the sad part is I don’t have money to afford a collection!

Mine has to do with my photography. I was looking for name for my website/company/branding for when i start trying to sell my work.

Scotopic Lux is an effect that occurs when seeing in the dark, when things are only seen in black and white in low light.

    From Wikipedia:
"Scotopic vision is the monochromatic vision of the eye in low light. Since cone cells are nonfunctional in low light, scotopic vision is produced exclusively through rod cells so therefore there is no color perception.

In scientific literature, one occasionally encounters the term scotopic lux which corresponds to photopic lux, but uses instead the scotopic visibility weighting function."[/quote:3hbvgxz5]

Very hot way to label your brand. I couldn’t come up with anything so stuck with the trusty last name! My business is "Koontz Photography & Design" how boring!

I believe in the spirit realm. I don’t believe that ghosts are dead people’s \"souls.\" I think they are spirit creatures just screwing around with silly humans.

UFOs? Either government crafts/airplanes/ or spirits screwing around with people. Same with crop circles. I mean come on, if humans like to play pranks on other humans, don’t you think the spirit realm would have fun screwing around with us too? It’s like a kid knocking over an ant pile just to watch them all scurry around furiously!

And the crazy animal/bigfoot etc stuff…. yeah there are tons of animals that haven’t been discovered and documented yet. Who knows whats out there. I don’t put 100% faith in the stories, but I also don’t think it’s a bunch of crap.

And government conspiracy theories. Sure, it’s possible. I think people who think they were abducted by aliens were probably just abducted for scientific studies by the government. (think the TV show Fringe)

Freedom is only real to a point. You are governed by the laws of nature. The government can seize your house at any time. The government could lock you up if it wanted to. You have free will to do what you please, but your actions always have consequences, and sometimes you have to live with the bad consequences of your \"freedom.\" Freedom doesn’t always mean that you are happy in life.

There are good things, \"Freedom of expression\" \"Freedom of Religion\" (and even \"Freedom Fries\" when American’s hate the French)

But I think trying to live in harmony with one another has greater results than always trying to ‘do your own thing’

There are so many reasons for people to hate organized religions. They don’t have good track records because they are all full of sinful humans. You can’t have a perfect religion with imperfect humans. But I also don’t agree with people picking and choosing their beliefs to \"fit\" their lifestyle. If you believe in a God, don’t you think that HE has a set of standards? Would your parents/teacher/boss just let you pick and choose what you were going to listen to, to fit what you want?

So I think you should start off with whichever holy book/teaching/God you think is the right one, and follow that holy book/teaching/God. Not play mashup.

I follow the Bible. I’ve found a religion that studies it, meets together, studies it together, and is unified across the world. Each group doesn’t have different standards and different rules. So in my studies I’ve come to believe that the Earth is going to be a paradise in the future, just like God purposed in the beginning. And the humans will attain perfection again. And no matter what religion you are, right or wrong, God will judge you on your heart condition. There’s so much more to it, but it takes a lifetime of study… you can’t just wrap it all up in a nice little box with a bow :)

But don’t worry, even with my strong beliefs, I’m very normal

I didn’t read through the whole thing. It’s been a while since I’ve thought about funeral songs. I do know that instead of a sermon or eulogy whatever they are called… I just want a 45 minute slideshow. Remember all the good times… not sit there and dwell on missing me.

Dying doesn’t scare me… but the thought of not knowing does. Not knowing what my loved ones are going through, who went to my funeral, who really misses me, who forgets me, how they cope. Those thoughts scare me.

Doubtful-Della has been my user name everywhere for 6 years now…. Doubtful comes from my (at that time) favorite band \"No Doubt\" and Della is a nickname that my husband’s ex girlfriend (the one that actually introduced us). She thought my name \"Daniella\" was too long so she tossed out the \"ani\"

It’s kind of like a divorce… the parents don’t want to run their kids through the mud so they only give them small details as to why it’s happening…. and guess what, they will never get re-married because they weren’t happy and it just wasn’t working.

Although we might go against the new mother and father in law, and wish our biological parents were back together… it’s never going to happen, and it’s for the best.

Besides Ginger and Jeff rock the house!

The first scores of SPfreaks.com are in!

Firstly, for your information, the 4 judges of SPfreaks.com each give 1 to 10 points within each of the 8 categories (3 individual badges/pins/passes + 1 bumper sticker + 1 poster + 1 flyer + 1 shirt + 1 setlist). By doing so they each have 440 points total to give away. The highest score 1 member can get from 1 judge is 8 times 10 = 80. Then, finally, the scores of the PMM Team and Billy Corgan will be added to the points already given by the judges of SPfreaks.com. For now, let’s start with the first SPfreaks.com judge. Here are the points!

This gives us the following top 5 for the moment. Remember, this top 5 can change over the upcoming days!
    [/quote:294aessu]

So this is the score from only one SP judge and we are still waiting on 3 others? I am confused with how the judging works. Shouldn’t the lowest score be 8?

Congrats to the top five. I just about fainted when I saw my points. Thank you for liking my art. I knew Natascha would be up there! You go!

Can’t wait to see the rest of the results. Thanks for posting this
