mr.benwaySpectatorYepp. Sorry to hear you have to sell parts of your collection.
The Adore one was allready sold.
[/quote:19vlwmmj]
I was the buyer. And sorry that i’ve snatched the adore promo from you.
mr.benwaySpectatorCrazy, totally crazy… huh…
There was also a retracted bid at 12,000US$
Retracted: US $12,000.00
Explanation: Entered wrong amount
[/quote:6tzn9iee]

mr.benwaySpectatorit looks like this. (pic from ebay) i think it will look cool framed.
[/quote:35rkzi05]
Kick ass… Nice poster… Congrats…
I’ve seen this on Ebay, but I didn’t bid…2009.04.25 at 9:37 pm in reply to: Smashing Pumpkins âmemorabilia divisionâ to run eBay sales #35299
mr.benwaySpectatorWe are going to be selling rare and one-of-a-kind items through eBay.[/quote:2895did5]
Smashing Pumpkins are selling out…
mr.benwaySpectatorSoon to be overpriced, since SP.com put it frontpage, and it attracted 4,000 readers already…
Siamese Dream 3M sales award, previously owned by James Iha, his (ex-)girlfriend, the bar manager below her appartment… next owner? One of us here? [/quote:3m6ckxt0]
No, not me.
I’m interested in an Aeroplane Flies High Award. Looks Uber-cool:

Will it hit the 2,500 US$, what do you guys think?
[/quote:3m6ckxt0]
Right now the highest bid is 580US$ (and two days to go).
I think it will end around 1,200 – 1,500US$. Why do you think it will go for more than 2k? Because it was James Award? I don’t think so. But we will see…
mr.benwaySpectatorthanks for the link Benway. that boot would be cooler if t was soundboard.

[/quote:2nzeinte]
Yepp, that woukd be cool. It was a phantastic show, Uli jon Roth is playing on two tracks (Gatgc, Gossamer).
But it would be much cooler if there was a soundboard from the gig the day before: Secret Gig at Zitadelle Spandau, all acoustic.
mr.benwaySpectatorand holy fuck its Zeitgeist boot
http://spfreaks.com/default.aspx?page=C … &item=1585
awesome looking
[/quote:2sx6ngp3]
It’s an audience recording (as you can see on the Backcover) of the gig at the Columbiahalle, Berlin (2007-06-06). You can find another (excellent) audience recording from this gig at the archive: http://www.archive.org/details/tsp2007- … bho.flac16
mr.benwaySpectatortoday was a jazzy day:
– alice coltrane – ‘journey in satchidananda’
– keith jarret – ‘fort jawuh’
– steve lacey – ‘new jazz meeting baden-baden 2002’
mr.benwaySpectator\"WEA music\" (or WEA Records) was a German (French?) subsidiary from Warner Records.
see German Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/WEA_Records
So i think this (CDR?) promo is most likely from Germany.
mr.benwaySpectatorIs this an "official" bootleg or a cd-r?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-SMASHING-PUMPK … ZMusic_CDs
The cover looks strange.[/quote:eoewq3kr]
This is an "Commercial Bootleg" (Silver-bottom cd).

mr.benwaySpectatorAhh… Archive Newsletter #6 arrived.
Here is a snippet of the newsletter, i think the most interesting part is:
(…)
We’re going to make some changes to the business model. The first thing we’re going to do is throw the $300 subscription service model out the window. The next thing we’re going to do is set up a fan club for the band. There will be details about this very soon on SP.com. We’re going to look at including a limited edition CD of rare tracks as a special gift if you’re a fan club member. Next we’re going to sell hard copy releases from the archives. This will be CD’s (possibly vinyl) with liner notes, and a special package. These releases will be limited to not much higher than the total number of fan club members. If you’re a member of the fan club, you will have GUARANTEED access to purchase these releases.
(…)
[/quote:35nzg5j8]That sound phantastic… good days fpr collectors

mr.benwaySpectatorFrank Quinto emailed me an interesting thought today. What is the general thought here about this? At least to me, it means that all hopes are not lost yet, and all options are still open (last_rose_of_summer was right!
)."I’ve been thinking about doing CD’s and vinyl instead of doing digital downloads. Maybe getting rid of the subscription service idea. What are your thoughts on that?"[/quote:2qc2ecub]
Sounds good.
I prefer CDs and/or vinyl: with simple packages for most of the items (like the pearl jam official bootlegs),
and deluxe packaging for special shows or era-samplers, and vinyl for demos or so… something like that…No dancing bananas, but…

mr.benwaySpectatorJohn is a bit slow in returning answers, although he promised to return them around Tuesday…

mr.benwaySpectatorI’ll try…

mr.benwaySpectatorI guess while we are off topic anyways…. How rare is this CD?
[url:38c9fdn4]http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?page=COLLDETAILS&item=84[/url:38c9fdn4][/quote:38c9fdn4]
Quite rare I guess, but it must be available being a commercial release. I have it, but I don’t know anyone else owning it too?[/quote:38c9fdn4]
Oooops, i own this cd too. But I’ve never noticed the misspellings before
mr.benwaySpectatorsound really cool!!!
i do know John a bit…
he’s a guy with quite a "user’s manual" normally-
this is kinda surprising in a way to me
however- good luck!
if you need input or whatever on John or anything-
hit me up on MSN this week or gimme a call…John’s totally OK~ he’s awesome; just some do’s and don’t

That’s all![/quote:29spd6ld]
I’m expecting his responses somewhere today or tomorrow, as he emailed me this weekend and said he would be at Melkweg again these days. Meanwhile I have been working on it a bit already, and… This interview is going to be awesome, mark my words!
[/quote:29spd6ld]
I’m curious… Are there any answers for the Interview?

mr.benwaySpectatorOnly a few days away and Trillions of new threads, posts…
I bought also some Pumpkins-stuff in the last days:
– a complete set of the Machina Promo Lithographs (4 prints)
– 1979 12-inch
mr.benwaySpectatorWhat about the following CDs, does someone have more information. Are they "rare"?
– Thirty Three (UK Promo HUTCDJ78) i’ve read somewhere, this Promo was withdrawn and only little numbers where pressed. Why was it withdrawn?
– True Power, True Faith Rarities & B-Sides (Promo for the Smashing Pumpkins Digital Catalogue)
– Some of the first Australian Relaeses: Siva & I Am OneMr.Benway[/quote:176e6nis]
That first CD was withdrawn – not sure why, but yes, it’s rare as hell and easily overlooked.
True Power, True Faith – rare.
Siva and I Am One AU – these seem rare enough. The I Am One pops up more often, so I think more of these may have been pressed for some reason. The thing that makes these even more rare I think is trying to find ones in mint condition. They are old and many copies are quite dinged up. So if you have mint or close to mint copies, consider yourself lucky![/quote:176e6nis]
Thanks a lot for these informations. The ‘I Am One’ CD is in mint condition, but the cardboard-sleeve shows some wear on the edges an on the back (the white parts aren’t that white anymore).
And I’m looking for a copy of the Siva Au CD-Single.
