Topic: The Girls on the Cover of Siamese Dream (2007-07-13)
"Hey everybody.
So, this may sound. . .well. . .odd, but I am a journalist, working on a story about "Siamese Dream," and have been trying, to no avail, to track down the little girls pictured on the album cover, so that I can interview them.
Alas, no one seems to know who they were, or what their names are. There have been rumors that they were actually D’Arcy’s sisters, but I don’t believe that’s true.
I know I’m new to this forum, but any help would be appreciated.

They are a special type of P2P download. To "seed" a torrent is to upload the file. You seed when you first create the file, but also as you’re downloading it – you send up the data that you’ve downloaded. It’s just a system to make downloads faster for people. (There’s also leeching, where you download without seeding.)
Torrents are more common with larger file sizes – such as high quality album copies, huge photo collections etc.

Shall this turn into a thread about how we became hardcore fans? I think it will.
Mines somewhat similar. In about 2005/06, kerrang! TV did a 100 best videos thing. Tonight Tonight was on there… and really interested me. Aaages later (like… 2007) kerrang! TV would do weekly, 30 minute slots where they’d play videos by one band. And i saw SP’s one (by this time had developed an interest in the band purely through Tonight Tonight) and yeah, the vids interested me.
When i finally got the internet, youtube was my port of call. I watched loads of SP vids, and developed favourites. I remebered that kerrang! magazine had done a \"Where to start with Smashing Pumpkins\" article ages back, so i dug it up and read it. Shortly after, i ordered Siamese Dream and MCIS off of Amazon.com. And that’s where it kicked off proper…

I think the vid’s alright, but nothing special.i used to have lots of stuff, but my mom threw it away long ago, she is not very nice. i moved out and then she moved and failed to tell me that she was getting rid of my sp stuff. i still am mad at her for that, and it has been 10 years. but i am slowly trying to recollect things, you all have great stuff, i am very jelous of you. when i have moved i am going to have a room for my many collections, and then i can really start to collect some good stuff.[/quote:333u64q4]

Virgin is a big company.
To sever all ties to virgin is to limit yourself in the market considerably.
I mean – Virgin records, Virgin stores, Virgin festivals, virgin travel, virgin phones, virgin cola…
If you’re not careful, CDs are easier to break.
But the sound quality lasts that much longer on CD.
Plus you can copy the music from a CD to an iPod or similar.
