The best of Dutch music. They sold 35 million copies of this shit worldwide. I couldn’f find the original video, but this couple is doing exactly what they did in the original video also. Who can stand this longer as 30 seconds? You’re my hero!

Yeah actually I do… And it’s always the women that bring me into trouble!

Who should I ban then, my girlfriend, or my "lover in a friendly way" bullet? It breaks my heart to choose…

You know what? I got a shock again. They officially call 1987 a Smashing Pumpkins year. Everywhere, and litterally EVERYWHERE they say 1988 is the first year of the Smashing Pumpkins. But the hardcore SPfreaks here know that a few SPfreaks members (me included, and another guy also: you know who you are! ) always called 1987 the starting year. Now even the official call on sp.com says:

\"The Smashing Pumpkins are looking for any original photos from 1987-1992 to be a part of their upcoming Gish Boxset.\"

I like to think that this might have to do with our freakyness about this subject…

i love you arthur, but only in the friend way[/quote:s8iz3nev]
You said that so many times now on the forum, my girlfriend doesn’t believe it anymore. She asks if we are the FM Brokeback Mountain couple. I told her "yeah maybe, but we didn’t get paid like those actors". I’m not sure if she can handle this joke properly, let’s see the next few days… Women tend to return to nasty things on very awkward moments.

Blame me for that. On April 2nd I wrote here on the forum somewhere: "Who are you, tormented souls? What are you, rockin’ crybabies?". You guys took a while however to pick it up.

Yeah I have that too most of the times. Don’t know why… Java loading, or server slow, I have no idea…

Got pics from that college period (before you went all "silly") to show on SPfreaks.com maybe?

Users should also be aware of the following (copied from the homepage of http://chat.spfreaks.com/ ):

\"SPfreaks Chat can also be accessed though an IRC client on your computer. An example is mIRC, a populair Windows based IRC client. But also MAC or UNIX clients will do. (*)

The settings for your IRC client are:

-server: irc.spfreaks.com
-port: 6667
-room: #SPfreaks

The room is not listed in the roomlist for privacy reason. Just enter ‘/join #SPfreaks’ (without quotes) and you’re in…\"

I believe SPfreaks member mayonaise is an expert on mIRC, ask her…

Looks like you are running the Operating System called Windows Vista? Or Windows XP? Then it might be necessary to set some \"trusted sites\" and you might also try checkmarking \"Confiar siempre en el contenido de este editor\". I’m sure it means something like \"Always trust content of this provider\". And still I’m confused why it crashes on such a modern computer… Maybe because it’s Spanish? Guess not…

Whats a screendump ?[/quote:1hbh5lcq]
To create a screendump, you use the Ctrl-key together with the PrtScn-key to create a pic of the actual screen that is in front of you. You can then paste that pic (also called a "printscreen") in Word, Paint, or other places that accept pics. I use Irfan View for that.

I use Mozilla Firefox, and I’m not sure about my Java version, but I guess it must be a recent one seeing I’ve had no problems when browsing other sites that require Java.[/quote:ieyg85jr]
And what is the "crash" exactly? Can you post a screendump here?

Yes, I am using a laptop. Does that have anything to do with it?[/quote:30t5l9ls]
I guess not. I only wonder how it crashes on such a little page as the chatroom… What Operating System is on the laptop? What Internet Browser? What JAVA version?

Tsss, I have no idea why everyone is having issues… I have talked with quite a few people already in the chatroom, and now mayonaise is added to that list… What might be an issue is if your internet browsers can or can’t use JAVA? I have installed JAVA 6, package 6, if I’m right. I don’t know what the others are having? Please show the error screens here in the board, so we can help each other…

When you see the login screen, just type in a nick and hit enter, then you’re in. When JAVA needs to load for a while, you’ll see a symbol moving around. And then: chat! :D

There is already a chatroom, mayonaise!

http://chat.spfreaks.com/

I sometimes meet up with people there, we set a time by email or PM from here and then we start chatting. I think for bigger groups we should publish some chat times here, by request of a certain individual member? Like \"hi, for the next 2 hours I’m available to chat, who joins?\". I don’t know, just a suggestion…

OK, as requested by manillascissor, here are a few more figures of the past year.

We have reached 2,544 items and 6,591 pics. For comparison, http://www.my-mistake.net/infinitepics/ have collected \"Image Count: 4,452\" since 1997. And what about our visitors?

Most people, 64.5% of the almost 26,000 visitors, get to SPfreaks.com by themselves, not by clicking on links somewhere else. They must have us in their internet favourites, or something. But the rest of 35.5% gets to us via so-called referrers. So who are these referrers, that are linking to us?

38.2% of the links come from (surprise, surprise): Netphoria. They linked us 263 times on the forum and 5 times in private messages. Top 5 heavily clicked articles from Netphoria:

1. http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?t=155411 (over 350 different visitors!)
2. http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?t=149756
3. http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?t=152535
4. http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?t=146849
5. http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?t=151347

14.0% of the links come from… Google! When people searched for \"spfreaks\", \"sp freaks\", \"True Power. True Faith.\", \"Mellon collie red vinyl\" or even \"mellon collie fake\" then they came across our website. Cool!

12.6% of the people that got referred to us, came from http://www.smashingpumpkins.com . News items like:

http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/membernews_3351 (over 250 different visitors!)
http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/membernews_1077
http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/news_4019

attracted hundreds and hundreds of readers to http://www.SPfreaks.com . Nice!

Some other places like Blamo, ThePumpkins.net, Wikipedia (13 fixed links already!), eBay (MCIS 8M award for example!) and Zombtracker also linked us many times, but each of them is less than 5% of the total referrer links. But pretty cool anyway, I think we can be proud that places like Wikipedia and eBay slowly know how to find us.

Now I have to ask RedWolf how to check on the Countries where they all come from. I’m sure it’s in this mess of IP addresses somewhere, but having them translated to a country… Not my job! OK, hope to get back on that one.

Yeah happy July 4th everyone in the US!

At exactly the same time we celebrate SPfreaks Forum: 1 Year Anniversary. Last year, this date, we started this thing. I’m glad we did! We’re kinda small maybe, but I’m quite sure somehow we attract the honest, straight-forward & passionate hardcore fans here. And blueczarina and bullet also of course, a chitchatting breed of their own.

I am really getting into post-rock at the moment.[/quote:pe05jt8a]
I’m into that post/prog rock also the last few years, it’s pretty cool. Awesome music! Here are a few of my favourites, for you to explore and hopefully to enjoy too, if you didn’t know them already.

You might want to try Piano Magic for a start ( http://www.piano-magic.co.uk or http://www.myspace.com/lowbirthweight )

This is my goose bumps post rock anthem of them, called "You Can Hear The Room":

& then move on to September Malevolence ( http://www.myspace.com/septembermalevolence )

& also try Fly Pan Am ( http://www.myspace.com/leflypanam => listen to Tres Tres Retro! Awesome!)

& Godspeed You! Black Emperor (Goddo supiido yuu! Burakku emparaa) shouldn’t be forgotten too.

Well, there’s much more, but these 4 come to my mind first as I’ve seen them play live. Have fun Superlord! 8)
