Yeah, I agree. That CD is super duper extremely rare, so any serious collector should pay that amount, what the seller is asking as a Buy It Now price, without any second thoughts. 8 dollar for shipment is slightly overcharged though. Maybe he is asking a few dollars extra for that long text he wrote on eBay, to promote the Smashing Pumpkins… On the other hand, I might have seen that text before…

    Anyway, grab it! FAST!

i found the cassette this version comes from on spfreaks.com: http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?pa … &item=1686
maybe this entry can be completed now. (the track length for drown is definitely wrong here.)

the live show is 1992-02-05 montmartre, paris. http://www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tsp1992-02-05

the version of drown was recorded at waterfront studios. it’s not an alternate mix, but a completely different recording. wikipedia probably copied its info from here: http://www.spfc.org/band/studio.html?session_id=12

    old tape transfer: http://www.archive.org/details/tsp1992-02-05.shn[/quote:2dp8s0yo]
Entry completed, thanks for the research, Bram! 8)

And yeah, the fixed version of Drown sounds a lot better. I wished they had done that to the whole tape, since the Paris live gig is worthwhile a listen too!

they keep making new accounts non-stop.[/quote:1wc71wxt]
Yup, dozens a day, sometimes. I was deleting them almost every day, 1 by 1. I got fed up with that, so now we have some database scripts running to automatically delete those spam accounts (non-activated after a week, activated but non-posters/non My Collection users after 6 months). And as long as those activated spam accounts don’t post anything… I’m fine with it.

The memberlist doesn’t show the actual number of real members now, so be it. All other forums have the same issues…

Awesome vinyl, by the way! This should have an upload in the Collection too. May I use your pics (or are you willing to take a few new ones, front/back of sleeve, front/back of vinyl etc in separate pics)? Thanks!

Sad news. I always found their version of Jolene epic. And to hear crappy vinyl on Youtube is epic too, in a way.

Interestingly, Joe owns a tape of 8 songs given to him in 1988 with studio versions of Bleed, My Eternity, Screaming, Armed to the teeth, Hippy Trippy and can’t remember what else he said. He told me he can’t share this tape, but I can stop by the Metro and listen to it.[/quote:2v7nj6fc]
Cool! Maybe you can at least take pics, and make some notes (track names, track order, track lenghts, etc.), so we can chronicle this on SPfreaks.com at least. I would be really interested to go with you on this little quest, but I’m living in The Netherlands, unfortunately.

Uhm… weird. If you can log in on the forum, then you should also be able to (re-)log in on the SPfreaks Collection website. Just use the same credentials as you use for the forum (RichardH and the password that only you knows). Let me know if it works, or not. Then, only after your item is uploaded in the Collection, it is possible to add it to your owner list. All new uploads are announced here:

    your body
    is a temple of dreams
    worshipped
    by me
and I send you prayers of fire
I kneel for your divine feet
    and drink from your naval
    please, give me
    your sweet stroke of mercy
    while I drown
    in the tears
    of our unification

(old poem of me from 1990/08/29, which I found back today while moving some boxes… There are tons more from back then, which I might consider publishing here… )
