Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI remember those boards, I was on there, think my user name was either \"Black Milk\" or \"Siamese Dreamer\", not sure, I used to post in their philosophy section, which was pretty cool except for the occasional flame wars between ppl with differing opinions, avoided the rest of the forums as they moved too fast to keep track of anything.
Im a Cult HeroSpectator$85 = â¬54
I’m curious as to what ticket prices are over there normally for gigs, because that actually looks pretty cheap to me, because usually any band thats remotely popular and not from this country charges a minimum of â¬65, and if we’re talking about a popular band or artist in a small venue, the price usually shoots up to between â¬100 – â¬140Ooh, my next post brings me up to 100, better make it a good one

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorThe Mighty Boosh!!!
I’m so addicted to that show!
I also quite like Heroes.
I don’t actually watch TV, I only see these things on DVD.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI quite liked the video, it always reminded me of Requiem for a Dream, which is my all time fave film.
It’s disturbing, yes (and it should be), but it shows a snap shot of a harsh reality that exists everyday for people around the world, people need to make films/short films like these so that people don’t forget, like a slap in the face from reality, trying to ignore these problems can only worsen them.
My only criticism of the video really, is some of the voice over dialogue sounds a bit cheesy to me, and the fantasy/hallucination scenes were a bit \"cliche 90’s grunge vid\", Soundgardens \"Black Hole Sun\" video in particular.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorPS3 firmware 2.40 becomes available IN A COUPLE OF DAYS!
This is some of the most important stuff for the PS3 that are being added aside from trophies and being able to read mail in game, i can listen to MY music whilst playing a game! I CAN FINALLY LISTEN TO IN FLAMES WHILST ANNIHILATING DEMONS IN ‘DEVIL MAY CRY 4’! FUCK YEAH!
Also, I beat MGS4 for the 6th time today. Go me![/quote:1ute46kp]
Ah sweet
When does that Sims looking thing "Home" start up on PSN? Looks like something that I’d get addicted to :p
Why do you need the 250gb hard drive for your PS3? Can’t you just use the wireless to connect to your laptop/pc?
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorand cult hero……… i wouldn’t be suprised if they did that. bunch of hooey those people are.

We’re not cynical at all
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorMars Volta are great, I didn’t mention them as they already had been.
On a completely unrelated style of music :
I suddenly feel the need to recommend these guys Lights
http://www.myspace.com/lightsdc
unsigned Irish band, I go to every gig they play (seeing them again this weekend), just really great music, can’t help but dance to it….and I never dance
Also :
The Night
http://www.myspace.com/lovethenight
Who are very different from Lights, but also great. Kind of a psychedelic post-punk thing, The Night is the side project of Kyle, who doesn’t perform very often under this moniker after recently resurrecting his fantastic rock band control freak

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI read something like that during the week, I don’t actually recall specifics, but the article I read didn’t say anything about preventing pregnancy/interfering with child birth, but rather that having cats around small children, made them more likely to develop some specific skin disease later in life (can’t remember what it was called), but people have kept cats as pets for thousands of years without problems, strikes me as a bit of scare-mongering really.
I’m sure next week those same scientists will report a \"sudden breakthrough\" having developed a cream you have to buy to protect your children from this terrible thing….which was never a problem until last week…..
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI haven’t been around much lately, my hobby of getting video of gigs has sort of been consuming most of my free time, and whats left is usually spent uploading those vids (though today youtube is being annoying and wont let me) & playing MGS4 for the fourth time through
Anyway, I felt I should say something about the Billy Corgan rumour thing (I think the thread was called \"We need to stage an intervention\"), anyway, I had been thinking of talking about motivations & thoughts behind it, but I realise none of that matters, its actions not words that count, and my actions brought it here, which I regret and apologise for.
I would like to be clear on one thing though, it was never, in my part, viewed as anything malicious, but rather as a bit of a stupid joke.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorCongrats Sven! That is beyond awesome!
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorYou have to remember manilla that while Siamese Dream may have been trendy where you are, I’m from a different country, and it most certainly wasn’t trendy here, popular? Yes. Trendy? No. I wrote that part purely from my perspective, and my experience of it.
As for the Jimmy statement, I stand by it, I didn’t mean to be knocking other drummers just by saying Jimmy is the best, I just honestly believe that.
The Keith Moon comment was meant as a joke, as when it comes to rock music, technical talent only makes up 50% of why someone is good, the rest is personality and stage presence, and obviously Moon had plenty of both to spareThe \"electro-folk\" I’m referring to is actually \"Adore\" but yes \"Eye\" too, again, my perspective, maybe this isn’t so popular where you are.
You know I’m surprised everyone seems to be agreeing with my former members statement, I assumed I’d be lynched for that one
It’s great to hear you guys opinion on this though, thanks for replying
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI don’t think SP will abandon physical releases, I think there just wont be as many, as in, if you don’t get it within the first week of release, you will be lucky to get it.
I do think they will be releasing a lot of stuff digital only though, eg. they said they will be releasing the next album bit by bit, obviously there wont be a physical release until it is completed, also as they said it will be on the scale of MCIS that would make it a double album, which again is more expensive for them to get out there, which means….well just be first in line to get it when it comes out, it’s easier that way
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI don’t want it to sound like pre-Zeitgeist Pumpkins, I don’t want it to sound like Zeitgeist, I Don’t want it to sound like American Gothic.
Part of the reason the Pumpkins have always appealed to me so much is the constant evolution of their sound, always moving forward, relentlessly, none of their albums really sound that much alike, so what I’m hoping for is something totally new.
However I don’t think it will be radically different, more like a combination of American Gothic & Zeitgeist, but thats the problem if your going to be releasing prolifically, which is what their going to do : you get stuck thematically, I imagine it’s easier to come back with something really different 2/3 years after you wrote the last album than if you head into the studio less than a year afterwards. *shrugs*Having said that, I have no doubt I’ll be into it anyway, so far Billy has yet to disappoint me with any of the music he has made in the Pumpkins or outside of them.
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorVery cute Dogs Pipoka!
The first one looks quite a bit like mineBullet I know nothing about cars, but yours looks awesome!
Arthur, those are some great pics, but the rabbit creeps me out a little!
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorYeah, very cool, I love the Richie Rome one, I’m gonna have to google him
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorYeah bullet, post those pics! It’s really interesting to see where other posters are living, makes the internet seem a little less cold and anonymous.
Going for the \"aww\" factor on this one (taken on my phone):
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorThats a pretty cool find!
TBH I’d actually prefer having the letter than the snare!
Theres something about collecting musical instruments purely for the sake of collecting them that doesn’t sit well with me *shrugs*
Im a Cult HeroSpectatorHells yeah
